Author Side Bar on Single Posts Won't Go Away

    I’m having trouble getting my author side bar to come off of my single posts. In the theme customization, the box to have it appear is currently unchecked, yet despite saving and updating my site, it is still appearing.

    Any insight? Thanks!

    Hi,

    The bio that will display if the box labeled “Display on single posts” at Customize > Content Options > Author Bio is checked is not displaying on your single posts. Unchecking that box will disable the bio from displaying on single posts, but will have no effect upon the widget in the sidebar that displays the brief bio, if that’s what you’re referring to. You may hide that widget on single posts by customizing the visibility settings of the widget. See the Widget Visibility section of the Widgets support page.
