Are there any fixed or sticky widget options for wordpress.com .

    I am looking to customize my site with a fixed or sticky widget. Is it possible to do this and how ?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    Each theme supports different widgets areas, but the Big Brother theme you’re using supports widgets in a sidebar. You can see that sidebar on the right in the theme demo here: http://bigbrotherdemo.wordpress.com/

    You can also adjust the widget visibility settings to have widgets displayed on different pages of your site, or check out this page for more details about how widgets work: Widgets

    If that doesn’t answer your question, can you describe more about what you mean by a widget that’s fixed or sticky?

    Thanks so much for getting back to me.
    The term sticky or Fixed is as it sounds meaning that the widget does not move it stays static on the page and as you scroll the page moves past the fixed widget as in this example…

    Fixed Widget and Sticky Elements for WordPress

    in the wordpress.org there is a plugin Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget) that makes this posible but I have yet to find a theme on wordpress.com that has this feature. Perhaps there is one but the search function that wordpress.com has was unable to find one.

    Is there a way to preform this function on wordpress.com ?

    Thanks for providing that example. There isn’t a theme with that kind of sticky widget feature here at WordPress.com, but I passed the suggestion along to our team so they can keep it in mind as a future feature!
