aplus.net hosting

Hey guys. I have a client i’m doing their site for. They want to use WordPress because it’s great for a group that will be using it works great with you. They have a Aplus.net account and want to host the WordPress site there. I have done some work on it with your .com tools and now they are wanting to move it over to the aplus.net world. Do you have any suggestions on getting it done? I have asked Aplus for help because I don’t see anything in the control panel of theirs that shows me. I wish this company i’m doing the site for would just leave it hosted here but i’m jumping through this hoop for them. Thanks guys.
Sonny

Hi,
That sounds like a complicated situation. One of the useful aspects of the WordPress.com solution is that it is design and hosting and a user-friendly interface all in one, but if they are firm in their desire to move to Aplus hosting, perhaps you can keep the design and interface intact by looking into a WordPress.org solution. All the themes and customizations that are available on WordPress.com are available there, and because WordPress is an open source project, they can be used relatively freely.
Here’s a tutorial I found on the process of transferring content that might be helpful. Best of luck! https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-properly-move-your-blog-from-wordpress-com-to-wordpress-org/

Hi there,
What CMS are they using? Aplus.net is a hosting provider, and knowing that does not give us the info we need to advise you on how to import the site. What we need to know if how the site itself is built – is it coded directly in HTML? Is it using the open source WordPress CMS? Is it using another CMS, like Drupal or Joomla?
You can find general instructions for migrating a site to WordPress.com at https://transferto.wordpress.com/, but exactly which process you need to follow will depend on the existing site’s software, as that will determine which export and import options are available to you.
The OP is asking how to move from the current setup to WordPress. The tutorial linked to is for exactly the opposite.
We also have our own detailed documentation for migrating away from WordPress.com to various services at https://move.wordpress.com. We’d prefer if you refer people to our official documentation when available, rather than linking to potentially outdated tutorials on other sites that have no affiliation with us – that tutorial was published more than a year ago and both WordPress.com and the open source software has had some significant changes since then.
