Almost ready to go "live".

  • I’ve downloaded WordPress with Bitnami, created my Website ( not blog ) and would like to grant a few people access for comments before going live. How would that be accomplished? Then how do I get the finished site ready to open in our domain name? Thanks!

  • Hi there!

You’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Because your site is self-hosted with a different provider, support staff at WordPress.com do not have access to your site’s files or the ability to provide support for your current issue.

You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here:

    http://wordpress.org/support/

    http://codex.wordpress.org/

If you need professional help for your self-hosted WordPress site, please check out:

  • I believe I’ve found the answer by exporting content from “local” and importing to WP, however, I now have double menus. Should I delete the entire WP site and start over with a new import? Or, how do I emliminate the duplicates? It doesn’t appear obvious. Thanks,

  • Hi again!

As I explained, you’re at the forums for site hosted with WordPress.com. The site you’re working on is a self-hosted installation of the WordPress.org software. Here’s some more information about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Head over to the support forums at WordPress.org! There are tons of people over there who will be able to help! :)
