adding media: new images

Just chat with one of the staff, and there is some issues with the image upload and it has been solved, but it will take ‘some’ (undefined) time for the uploaded images to be processed and show up because there are millions of websites uploading many images.

My blog uses the Highwind theme, and I’m encountering the same problem in the middle of writing my latest draft. So it looks like a problem with WordPress itself.

I’ve been having issues loading images to WordPress. I tested loading to other places (same images) like Facebook, my own website and G+ and there are no problems. Uploading to WP is taking way too long and sometimes doesn’t even finish the upload. Images have a question mark or some don’t have anything and never show up. I keep having to delete my uploads and start again. Does anybody know what’s going on here?

I’m glad I am not the only one. I just wasted 2 hours trying to post. I see that it is being fixed, but it will take time to roll into effect world wide. I will try again later on.

I’ve used my WordPress site at https://alymcf.wordpress.com for years and suddenly I’m having an issue uploading images and don’t know why. Instead of seeing the image in the library I get a broken link or broken image icon in the space the thumbnail should be. There is no error message. And of course the image won’t come into my post either if I try to insert it.
I have only used 17% of my space,

The images are not overly large. Less than 1 MB.and here is a link to an image that does work:

Hi everyone!
We are experiencing some issues with media uploads currently. Your media is not lost! It’s just in a queue as our system has a backlog of media to process. :(

You do not need to upload the media again, it will appear correctly within a few hours. Please let me know if you have questions about this!
