Ability to edit my own comments within limited time period

    Would be useful if WordPress.com allowed a user to make spelling error corrections, edit their own comment within 1-10 min. of posting.

    This feature has previously existed and thankfully was removed. The reason I say that is because there are children here – very large children club blogs that get a huge number of viewers (flightless waterfowl). The use of the edit button was being abused and the drama went on and on and on and on and on so Staff disabled it.

    The lack of an edit button could be relieved by at least adding a “preview” function. My local paper uses WordPress as the basis for its opinion forums and no matter how hard I proof-read, my use of HTML markup such as italics (or recently, when a chunk of a sentence simply disappeared because I used “less than” and “greater than” for a special purpose) occasionally suffers from an errant character — something that would be immediately obvious if a preview was available.
