    Hi, we would like to register “9inches.wordpress” which seems to be an wordpress examples site. Is there a way to get this domain name? Thank you!

    Looks like someone already signed up with that username (in May of 2008, I’d guess, based on the first post’s date) but never posted to their site – the example page you see is the first generic post that every new blog starts with.

    Unfortunately, unless you’re the original owner of that address and can still get access to that account, that means that that address is no longer available for use. It looks like nineinches.wordpress.com is still available, though, so you can dibs that, or any other variations you can find that give you the message, “[site].wordpress.com doesn’t exist
    Do you want to register [site].wordpress.com?” when you visit them.
