Weekly Challenges

Every week, The Daily Post presents two challenges to push your blogging boundaries: writing and photography. Writing and photo challenges give you a chance to explore new subjects and help you find great new reads. We’re all inspired by seeing others bloggers’ twists on the same challenge.

Photo Challenges

Photo Challenges are published every Friday at 12 noon EST. Each week, one Daily Post contributor will offer a theme along with our own photo. To participate, just let yourself be inspired by the theme, take a photo, and publish it. Publish your post at any time before the the next challenge is announced. Tag it with postaday so others can find it easily, and feel free to leave a link to your entry in the comment thread of the challenge.

Writing Challenges

Writing Challenges are published every Monday at 12 noon EST. Some are purely creative, while others encourage you to explore new WordPress.com features to see how they can enrich your blog and your relationships with readers. We feature a few of our favorite responses on Freshly Pressed each Friday.

To participate, simply write a post that responds to the challenge guidelines, and tag it with DPchallenge; feel free to leave a link to your entry in the comment thread of the challenge as well. Publish your post at any time before the the next challenge is announced. You can see all past challenges here, or subscribe to a Writing Challenge-specific RSS feed to stay on top of all new challenges.

  11. I am still a little unsure as to when comments are closed on daily and weekly challenges. Keep missing them! Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is the latest post I couldn’t add. If you like mystery novels, or crime fiction, this may be your cup of tea. I certainly enjoyed writing it.   21. I had no idea the weekly challenges existed until yesterday and I’ve been with WP for years! Looking forward to mixing it up! I submitted my first photo via the tag postaday – thanks for making the instructions easy and clear!

Hallo,Thank u for accepting me on your blog.Regarding the DPchallenges,earlier this year I had join the reading and writing club.My biggest challenge was that I had to draft my notes and type them, as it was required that I make a pitch with my writings,especial writen in Zulu.This was very stressful it just seemed impossible . Recently I had come up with a way of texting and storing my notes on my mobile phone.I found my phone user friendly ,if only it can have much bigger storing space.
