Find or Submit a Blogging Event

Participating in blogging events and challenges is a great way to supercharge your involvement with the blogging community, stretch yourself as a blogger, and get feedback on your posts. Blogging events introduce you to other bloggers who care about the same things as you, and get your posts in front of them — a win-win.

To help connect those of you running blogging events with those looking for a way to participate, we’ll be maintaining a calendar of your events here on The Daily Post.

  • If you coordinate a blog event, fill out the form below with the details. We ask that you only submit your event after it has been running successfully for three months. Once it’s okayed by our editors*, we’ll add a listing to this page.
  • If you’re looking for an event to participate in, head to our listings page and browse what’s going on. Each event has a description and deadline, so you can find something that fits your interest and availability.

This isn’t limited only to WordPress.com bloggers — feel free to submit a listing no matter your platform. The more blogging, the merrier!

*A few submission guidelines…

  • We’ll be deleting spam submissions, general requests for readers/feedback/fundraising, and anything obscene.
  • Our events listings are geared toward encouraging bloggers to write and share new content and make meaningful connections with one another; we won’t consider events that mandate reblogging the organizer’s post in order to participate.
  • Your submission should be for an organized blog event. Please do not submit listings for informal prompts, questions designed simply to solicit comments, feedback requests or fundraising support requests.
  • Events are added to the site manually, so your listing might not show up immediately.
  • If your event has specific start and end dates, please let us know in the description/instructions.

  1. I just re-submitted my Sketching Fire Sketchbook Challenge today in hopes that it will be included…perhaps it did not go through correctly last Friday. I hate to be a pest so if it is already in progress thanks and oops.

    1. I guess I will have to just keep re-submitting my art challenge until some one tells me to stop and go away. Not getting any kind of response at all leads me to believe that there is a problem with the submission form which requires attention.

  3. fordsforever here I am going to start with little from me. My love is cars can you guess I like fords. But with age preciate all cars I love the old tv shows For the old cars. I like the original look of a car not to days perfect far better than the original paint jobs. I don’t like a oil outlet that Braggs how fast you can change your oil. Or that Amoco transmissions can do all your car repair. To me that’s bad. I work as a ford mechanic for lot of years. Learn a lot working in a speed shop to.Now I all so 35 years work and now retired from Railroad was a carman we maintain the passer cars inspect I all so welded did a lot there. That’s it for now.

  8. I’ve just posted a new challenge – Old Courthouse Photos.
    Photos of old courthouses in your hometown or one that you just love. Please use comments, Pingbacks, and social media to spread the word. When you leave a comment on the challenge post, provide a link back to your blog. Then others can view your entry too. Use tags such as photography, courthouse, photo challenge, Post a week, challenge.
    I chose to post one from Fayetteville, TN in a tribute to Fayetteville and Lincoln County. That is not my hometown but close to where I now live. Parts of Lincoln County was heavily damaged last night by storms/tornados.
    I am going to be doing a posting on my “Freaky Friday” line in the next couple of weeks about a haunted location in KY. I think my next challenge will be photos of haunted locations around the country… what do you guys think?
