New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.
2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use a “postaday2011″ or “postaweek2011″ tag.
3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.
At last…some photos to put the winter blues behind us!

How the heck am I going to find a picture of spring when there’s still 2 feet of snow on the ground and more coming in every day 😦 I should wear an armband that says “Hug me, I’m Canadian.”

Ya that makes sense…
Then how could it be possible for me to have spring pictures while there is no spring in here in tropical country.

Thank you, princess. You wouldn’t believe how tired Saskatchewanians are of winter! If you manage to do that, we will make you a provincial hero. 🙂

I’m in Cape Breton. We don’t have snow today, so I got away with a Spring post, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see snow into May here. (We did have one May 2-4 blizzard when I was a kid in Newfoundland, also.)

Seonaid, I saw your Spring post, very nice. I linked it from my site. I’ve been in Nova Scotia during the spring blizzards…very nasty.
John, that’s a great idea, but where to get my hands on a slinky these days? I finally gave up and did a photo layout of contrasts. You can see it here if you like.

Considering the cold chilling winter that u guys go through, I think we Indians r really privileged with the weather. Last summer I was in Canada from June to September, I tell it was a wonderful experience, my sister showed me all her winter wear & I just said with all this weight on my shoulders I would just bent down. So anyways welcome the spring.

Now why didn’t I think of spring cleaning? Possibly because I haven’t done any yet 😛
Anyhow, I finally came up with something for Spring pictures. There are two so that I can show you a wonderful (and somewhat amusing) contrast, plus another one to clarify the second photo. It’s amazing what you can come up with, with a little thought and a lot of snow 😛
