For this week’s photo challenge, explore the vibrant, hopeful colors of your favorite sunrise or sunset.
Taking time to watch the sun set is one of my favorite reality checks. As the sun goes down, I get the most beautiful reminder to appreciate each and every single day. It’s an opportunity to celebrate what I’ve accomplished in the past twenty-four hours while the sky fades to night.
During a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico, I had one of those moments. Standing at the San Juan National Historic Site, I watched families and friends chatting, kids laughing and flying kites, and the sun slowly setting behind the horizon. In this moment, it felt like time stopped and I was suspended in a momentary joy.

A peaceful sunset at San Juan National Historic Site.
For this week’s photo challenge, share your favorite photos of a sunrise or a sunset. If you’re an early bird, try to capture what dawn means to you. Is it a symbol of hope? A reminder to get going? Do you have any special early morning rituals that you do as the sun rises in the sky?
For night owls, share a snapshot of the day coming to an end. Show off the vibrant colors of sunset and the peaceful calm as the moon rises or any twilight rituals you may have. Get creative and show us the sun in all of her fiery glory.

The sun had a tiresome day serving mankind with its light… now it needs a rest. While the sun sets, the waters reflects and admires its lustre. It makes me believe that your good deeds are reflected in the minds of many later… so live a life doing good.

Karma doesnt exclude the wrong deeds. And good karma doesnt attain anyone moksha too. I would rather like to call them goodness.

I have to agree with your sentiment about sunsets. There is just something so magical about watching the sun slowly disappear on a warm summer night. Here is one of my favorite sunsets of recent years: https://bringthereceipts.wordpress.com/2018/03/28/sunset-dreams/

Love the wide-angle shot of the field with the sky! Amazing.
What made me take my sunset shot was the tree silhouette.
