Mine. Is there a place, object, or view that’s entirely yours, or you’re a bit selfish or possessive about? Is it a feeling you feel when you look at the photo, or perhaps an unwillingness to share? I get rather possessive about that first cup of coffee in the morning. It’s definitely mine and I want it all to myself.

Share a picture that means MINE to you!

(**sorry for the tardiness! We had it scheduled and it didn’t fire off. Shucks!)

New to The Daily Post? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’re invited to get involved in our Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS

    1. Wow, coming up with a new photo each week? That’s a tough requirement. One photo = 6 to 8 hours of work for me. Finding the subject, photographing, processing, uploading and writing a story. Although a good exercise, it might be too tough for some people to find that much time. It might significantly reduce the participation. And that would be no fun 😦

      1. Hi Maurizio, I don’t want to confuse the terms – when I mentioned re-using “Archives” I was referring to published posts (posts with a date/timestamp prior to the challenge).

You are definitely welcome to contribute a new post using a picture you took at at any time – no need to do a whole new photo shoot in response to the theme. We’ve only had one photo challenge where I asked you to photograph something the same day as the challenge 🙂
