This week, we want you to show us what inspiration means to you.

To celebrate a birthday, our family gathered at a restaurant with panoramic views of our city. After the prairie storm clouds passed, and before a spectacular sunset, we enjoyed a bird’s eye view of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

The museum — which officially opened on September 19th, 2014 — is a stunning architectural wonder and an inspiration to all of humanity. Its mandate is to educate visitors on human rights abuses, spread awareness, and sow empathy and compassion so that the atrocities of the past will never be repeated.

What is your inspiration? What moves you? What is it that never fails to motivate you, to get you going, or make you happy? It could be the bench in a quiet section of the park where you go to center yourself. Maybe it’s a favorite piece of music or book passage that boosts your enthusiasm. Or, maybe it’s the face of the love of your life, a treasured memento, or the unconditional love you see in the eyes of your pet.

Show me your inspiration! I can’t wait to see how you interpret this theme.

  1. Wow. I’ve heard alot about the museum and my wife and I had lunch with my aunt and uncle on the bridge restaurant that is nearby, but haven’t been to it yet… definitely will go and it’s a good reason to visit Winnipeg again. Thanks so much and I look to coming up with something as inspiring. Good work!
