“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” – Peter F. Drucker

The past and the present might be open to interpretation, but are still constrained by the reality of what was and is. The future? It’s tremendously intangible, brimming with possibility.

“Photographs open doors into the past but they also allow a look into the future.” – Sally Mann

As a mother, I see the future in my children — who they will become, what things they will discover and create. This candid photo of my eldest daughter from a few years ago is my own interpretation of future — not only because she is in it, but because she is creating something. The blank pages of her art notebook, the precisely sharpened crayons, her imagination — all represent a forthcoming manifestation of her creativity. This image represents possibility: in life, and in art.

One of the glorious things about photography is that it enables us to take a moment of our present, and make it available to look on in meticulous detail in the future. This week, share with us your interpretation of future.

    1. Yes and no … a pingback happens when you place the URL of a post into your page post. So by entering or participating any of these prompts. Write your blog post and then copy and paste the URL from top of page and it will show up there. Maybe explained poorly, yet I hope this helps? Cheers Jamie.
