This week, show us a change in progress. This can be done in one or multiple photos — we’ll let you decide!
Kristin Snow has lived on the road full-time with her husband and three dogs for the last two years. She loves seeing as much of North America as possible from behind the wheel of an RV and photographing everything she can along the way. She blogs about their journey at snowmads.com.
Change is commonly defined as “to give a completely different form or appearance to; to transform.”
This may be a drawn-out process that’s difficult to capture in a single photograph, or a quick transformation that’s depicted in a snapshot. Perhaps it’s the change of seasons. A caterpillar becoming a butterfly. A shift in the weather.

Weather changing at Alaska’s Denali National Park, USA, by Kristin Snow.
At Denali National Park in Alaska, mountain ranges form their own weather systems, with sudden rain showers on one peak, while another nearby remains dry, or even sunny. Extreme changes in weather occur without warning, but lead to stunning and dramatic photographs.

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.

Beautiful landscape pictures Kristin. I envy your “snowmad” way of life, maybe that’s what we should do, dump everything, pack and travel. Who knows, one day…

This week’s theme of Change was really hard to decide how to capture. I started thinking of changes that I’ve undergone in my life, but in the end I went with tulips in their various stages of flowering. http://wp.me/p2juKh-1ls

What a fun challenge Kristin – I remember the light in Denali and envy your ability to wait it out!! Lovely captures of the majesty. My response is here https://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/2015/09/27/scotlands-ever-changing-landscapes-weekly-photo-challenge/

Thanks, Tina! I actually was just there at the right place at the right time, luckily. I did the 8 hour bus ride through the park, and this was taken during one of our brief photo stops. We drove through this storm and back out of it, and saw a glimpse of Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) before the clouds obscured it again. A magical place, for sure!
I love your photos and can’t wait to go explore Scotland one day. 🙂
