Blogging 101: Weekend Warriors

For the last weekend of Blogging 101, we’ve got one old idea and one new idea to put your blog on the path to popularity.

Welcome to Blogging U! This course isn't currently active, but you can learn more about what we offer and register for upcoming courses on the BU home page.

Remember, comments are closed on Blogging U. assignments. If you have a question, or want to share or chat, head to The Commons.

It’s our last weekend together, sob! As always, use this time to catch up, or catch some time away from your blog. But if you want to make the most of these last days of Blogging 101, we’ve got two good ideas for you:

  • Review your posts to date and use them to brainstorm. Look back over what you’ve published. What have you been most proud of? What are the common threads? Which have been most popular? Create and save at least two draft posts with ideas that come from those.
  • Make some social calls. Visit five other participants in the blogging event you chose yesterday. Leave at least two comments.

Hopefully we’ve spend enough time harping on the importance of visiting and commenting on other blogs. And now that you have at least a months’ worth of posts under your blogging belt, you can start to think about what worked, what didn’t, and what you’d like to try more of.

We’ll see you Monday with one final assignment!
