Community Pool

Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  1. Hello folks. My blog consists of short writings, and (poetry as some call it). I don’t like to classify myself or my writings, so I just use the term “writings” for it all.

Please check out one of my earlier writings that I’ve only recently posted. I’m still fairly new to the blogging community, so any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

  2. Hey Guys! This is my fifth post for Blogmas challenge I’m doing.

    https://gogetthemtigers.wordpress.com/2017/12/06/crap-people-who-have-tattoos-need-to-go-through/

Essentially a post on how hard life for people who have tattoos can get. Read along if you have a tattoo or if you have a friend who has a tattoo. I incorporated a slight humour and hence you’ll enjoy it.
There’s a surprising ending about why one should be extremely careful about commenting on tattoos.

Hey gang, commenting on this pool for the 3rd time, but I’ve just posted my 4th blog, in a row!
I’m trying to post everyday, what happens in my life daily, and if people can take away anything from it.
A comment, like or a share would be much appreciated!
Check out my blog if you like to read daily doses of excitement!
    Much love!

    2. I loved all of your ideas! Only suggestions I’d have are maybe throwing in some pictures or something to break up all the text and then including all the links that you posted at the bottom in the actual list somewhere

  4. Hello WordPress-sphere

     Faking I.T and Making I.T

I am completely new and fresh to all of this but I always loved writing stories and articles throughout high school and parts of college. Please have a look and let me know if I’m on the right path. Constructive criticism welcome and by all means if I’m up your alley I would love to promote and share with others. Thanks for your time and attention and Namaste!

  6. Hey everyone, I started a blog recently for my travels while on exchange in New Zealand and now that it’s summer I’m planning to start to write a bit more often. Would love to get some feedback on my most recent post about the start of a road trip down the west coast of the south island. I hope you like it but would love to find ways to improve!

  7. Here’s the latest post on Riffs and Rhymes. Round up of some recent releases, including Yellow Days, Angel Olsen, Chris Stapleton and more. Lots of good stuff in this one. Also excited to kick off my ‘Best of 2017’ series this Sunday with my honorable mentions (albums) of the year, followed by some guest reviews starting Monday. Have a great week everybody!
