To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

    1. Really like your blog – stunning pictures of Niagra falls there! I wonder if it could be good to add a ‘read more’ option on your posts, as currently they are all open on your home page which means it can take a while to get through and choose a post to read

    3. I don’t know if it’s just me who feels this way, but I personally found it a bit confusing to look at. Especially in the top with all the menus and stuff. Looks a bit messy:) Besides that I think the content and the way you write is great!

    4. I like your style of writing but I’m not sure the theme is quite right. You seem to have some weird blocks and empty space on the front page and the top menu looks a little cluttered and squashed.
      The formatting on the Cricket and Management post is also a little wonky. With the photo merged into the text along with justified edges on both sides you end up with words being spaced oddly.
      You’ve got some great posts though. Interesting topics and I like how you compare cricket and business.

    3. Your site is really clean and bright. It is very well organized and inviting.

      You might want to consider using a little more of the header space. There is a lot of white space – so you could expand your use of a bit without becoming cluttered.

      It will be nice when you have some more posts for us to read 🙂

      The site feels a little empty at the moment, all the white space does give the impression it’s a little unfinished.
      I’d like to read more about your publishing journey though. There’s not that much information on the site as far as I could see but I’d be interested to know how you navigated self-publishing for you first book and if you did get a professional edit in the end?

    3. I’m not sure if it is supposed to look like that but your home picture is very grainy, which makes it hard to read the quote that is displayed. It may be a resolution problem. Also congratulations on getting into law school! That’s an amazing accomplishment. Your readers will understand 🙂

        I love anything to do with psychology, sharing perspectives. It helps me learn and grow as a writer as well. Your blog is a must follow for everyone. And i have enjoyed every post i read off late.

      3. You don’t have to save it. You just log out and log in, write stuff and publish stuff. I hope this helps. If it doesn’t, i think you should ask a friend who also manages a blog for help. I’m new here too you know 🙂

    2. Log in. Go to WPAdmin. Select Posts. You should see the sample post listed. Click on it and edit it, putting in your own content. Be sure to change the title of the post tool. Then click Update. To add a new post, click the Add button on the Posts page. Put in the title and add your content. If you want to include tags for your post, see the left hand column.     3. When it comes to saving the environment, we think that it’s hard and huge, while in fact, its the simple things we do that causes so much harm to the nature. If we pay more attention to the little things, we might be able to make a huge difference!

    2. Nice post May. I imagine this would be really reassuring and helpful for someone starting at a school, so good job! I think the gifs work well, and that this is the kind of listicle that ought to have an image or gif under every single point (think Buzzfeed!). Hope that helps.

      This is absolutely the kind of thing I’m interested in so I’m keen to check it out.

      But the first thing I noticed that you may want to address – there is a typo in your logo (missing the last ‘c’ ‘PsychPerspetives’). An easy mistake to make but I would fix that ASAP as it will be most visitors’ first impression!

      I jumped straight into the ‘mindfulness’ section and read your post on uncertainty; I really like it! Cool idea, nice observations and enjoyable to read. Good use of light-hearted images too.

    2. Counting life in months instead of years is an intriguing thought. It might be a challenge since we have so many things that we put on a yearly calendar. Of course, we could, trash that calendar and make up a set of monthly holidays. I suspect, we’d have a battle with those who enjoy current holidays. https://gracelead.co
