Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.

Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. (If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment!)

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

    1. It’s a good start. Science blogging is fascinating, and from my experience it’s still difficult translating from the researchers’ language to the lay language for people who may not have the super-specific technical knowledge but are interested in knowing more and being informed (I love those people).

By reading the research within your field and finding meaningful ways to teach it and inform people *outside* of your field, you’re making your knowledge of the research stronger. Keep at it, and you’ll see just how far you’ve grown. It will show in your writings and in how you talk to people, just you wait.

      1. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
And It’s not so difficult for me cos I love that.
I am willing to the better.
It’s not only about science, but general knowledge, include many interesting fields. Cos i wouldn’t like to focus on specific field, I believe that all fields are connected to one another.
        And I am sooo grateful.

    2. Nice start on your blog. I’m intrigued by what may come next in the research. The only comment I would make is that since I’m not as science minded as others are, I may have like to have some more layman’s speak so I could get into it more. It all depends on what you want your audience to be. General public or science minded people. That would be up to you.

      1. Firstly, I am so grateful.
Secondly, I will hardly try to simplify the body of my articles :).
Actually, my blog isn’t only focused on scientific field, but in many fields in that world. I do believe that all fields are connected to each other, that’s why I don’t like to spot specifically on a certain field. And I hope I could beneficial and spread general knowledge for all kinds of people.
And thank you a lot for the comment and I appreciate it. 🙂

    1. I really like your blog. It’s so honest and witty. I really like it. Because I said so really hit home. My mom always said. I work with children and we are never to say that to them. I dish out the truth like you. Keep it up. Also, I was looking at your about page and you seem to have any information. Tell people who you are.

    1. Lovely blog 🙂
Maybe just make the title name of your blog a little shorter? By just taking out the numbers the overall blog would look a lot simpler and cleaner
Other than that, amazing blog! I love your posts!

    1. I would suggest playing with the layout. There is some work that needs to be done so that readers will be attracted to visiting your blog. Add, color, pictures, a tag line. Make it your own. Have fun with it. Once you make it your own you’ll be more apt to visiting and committing to post frequently.

    1. I was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, too! I’ll be certain to follow your work. I really like the way that you tell stories: very easy to feel “in the moment”.
