Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.

      Because you have your site set to use a static home page and you haven’t added any menus or widgets, no one is actually able to access your posts — you might want to set it up as a regular blog instead, or add some other way to help people get to the posts themselves.

    1. LOVE! The one thing I would change is to simplify the text color. Its pretty difficult to read with the different text and background colors. Other than that–keep up the good work!

We’re glad you’re so excited about your blog, but please don’t leave multiple, repetitive comments asking people to visit/follow — it’s considered a bit spammy, and the duplicate comments will be removed. You’re much better off leaving substantive comments for people and showing sincere interest, rather than just posting links!

  16. Hi there! I’ve been blogging for two weeks but somehow missed the first “First Friday” so I am posting here. I am a third year medical student and I blog about medicine, makeup (and other beauty-related reviews in the context of how they perform through long hospital shifts), and my caffeine addiction!

    I’m really looking forward to reading through some of the other new blogs on here too 🙂

  30. Hi, I’m very new to the world of blogging. It’s been something I’ve been interested in for a while but always been to shy to do anything about it! I hope to write about anything and everything provided I feel passionately about it!
    I wrote my first post yesterday about the epidemic of the Instagram model and beach body! I really hope you take the town to give it a read and enjoy it. I’d appreciate any tips or comments. Xxx
