Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here.     2. I’m not explicitly interested in your subject topic, but I can see you’re a good writer, and with a blog that’s half the battle. Keep up the good work and you’ll attract interested followers. 👍😉

    3. Hey so I went through your posts and you write so wonderfully and very easy to understand! The only thing I’d like to suggest is maybe write more often? I noticed that your posts are months apart. When you post often, the traffic on your blog increases a LOT. So that’s the only feedback I’d like to give you!

    2. Both of my parents were unbelievably intelligent and were successful and driven people, but both were alcoholics. It is a terrible life to grow up in. The children are never #1 in an alcoholic’s life as they can always retreat into their special world. Be strong. It may be that she will succeed and that will help you all by itself.

I would probably say now that you’re writing comfortably in your blog, letting your voice come out, now it’s time to spend some time in the Customizer (I’ve been saying that a *lot* to a lot of WordPressers lately) to make your menus and whatnot pretty. After all, your “About” page and some random Text Widget still has the default text in them.

        Why not spend a couple of hours in the Customizer and just start playing around?
