Registration for Blogging and Writing 101 closes soon!

Think of joining us for a September Blogging U. course? Blogging 101 and Writing 101 kick off on Monday.

Registration is now closed for all September courses.

Two of September’s Blogging U. offerings begin on Monday — which means you have just a few days left to register! Join us for one of these courses, and breathe some life into your blogging:

Note: you cannot take Blogging 101 and Blogging 201 at the same time — but both courses run frequently throughout the year, so there are plenty of opportunities!

Blogging 101: Zero to Hero runs from Monday, September 7th to Friday the 25th, and gives you one new task each day to help you publish, customize your blog, and engage with the blogging community. Learn more.

Blogging 201: Branding and Growth runs from Monday, September 14th to Friday the 25th, and helps focus your blog and grow your readership. Learn more.

Writing 101: Finding Everyday Inspiration runs from Monday, September 7th to Friday, October 2nd, and helps you cultivate a daily writing habit while finding fresh inspiration in unexpected places. Learn more.

I’ve had a quiet and unloved blog, but due to the course, it now has life, a new theme, a new style, and me feeling increasingly confident about both my writing and my interactions with other bloggers… priceless!

How do Blogging U. courses work?

Blogging U. courses exist for one reason: to help you meet your own blogging and writing goals.

  • Courses are free, flexible, and open to all.
  • You’ll get a tasks or writing prompts to respond to each weekday at midnight GMT, along with our best advice and favorite resources. Do them on your own time, and interpret them however makes sense for your specific blog and personal goals — we’re not grading you, we’re not checking to make sure you complete every task, and there’s no “wrong” way to use the resources we give you. Weekends are free!
  • Each course has a private community site, the Commons, for chatting, connecting, and seeking feedback and support. Daily Post staff and Happiness Engineers will be on hand to answer your questions and offer guidance and resources.

    1. Lots of folks take them together, although you might find that it’s too much to have two thins to do each day.

All the writing tasks and many of the blogging tasks can be done on a phone; there are a few blog customization tasks that are a little tougher to do in the app, but which you’d be able to do by logging in to WordPress in a browser.

  3. Hi Michelle,
Would you mind if I used the images of the course badges in a blog post. The post talks about the courses and why I have decided to take part in them.

    Thanks,
    Nick

      1. Hi, do you have any idea how can I access the writing assignments in the WordPress app? It notifies me, but I can’t open it. Thank you so much!

  5. Hi, my recent blog will explain everything. Still in the dark technically but I know I’ll get there eventually. I wouldn’t be able to write from Monday to Wednesday but hopefully will catch up on a Thursday night. Thanks for the support.
