Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once! We tend to delete duplicate comments asking for feedback on the same post.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • When leaving comments, please remember not to add your blog’s url as your signature. It’s kinda spammy: after all, your handle links directly to your blog.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  2. Hello hello! My page is basically an assortment of thoughts, some more composed than others. I would really love some feedback on my more recent posts. I tend to ramble as I try to get my thoughts on the screen and I want to know how it translates. Is my writing coherent? Is it interesting or could it be punched up? Any and all feedback is appreciated!

    1. Hey.. when you publish a post you must write the appropriate tags in the post so that they will come on the reader of the people who are following these tags.. Hope this help.. happy blogging !

    Hope y’all are having a great Friday (weekend yesss)! For all you late night sleepers I hope you can take a look at an essay I wrote as practice for my upcoming English 12 provincial exam.   14. Hi Everyone, I just started a blog on the lighter side of gluten free living called Gone with the wheat. I would love some feedback….I am not sure about the layout-the page looks so empty. I am finding working with wordpress a little confusing. I would also like to add a contact form but don’t see the option.

  16. Hey everyone!

    I was on here last week and loved the feedback. So here I am again looking to see if any adjustments I made were for the better. I am a travel blogger looking for a better way to attract a reader, instead of having the viewer just scroll thru all of my pictures. I tried adding headings to add more organization but I don’t know if that necessarily helped. If you think lumping my pictures together would be better please comment on my page!! Thank you 🙂

  17. Hi In my latest post I have done some experiment. instead of photo I post a illustration done by me. I have no idea how to do book illustration things. I just sketch, scan then enhance and add some effect.
    i) is there better way to do the illustration?
    ii) should I continue the illustration or it is not that impressive?

    1. I like your blog. The look is nice and clean but the real beauty is definitely the material and especially the pictures. I can say for sure that you are far more organized in your thoughts about what you wanted to create than myself. Looks like a good strong start to me!

  23. I tried commenting on here yesterday, but it wouldn’t let me post. (Maybe I’ve posted too much)? I just wondered if there’s any way of ‘encouraging’ people to comment a bit more? On Friday, my page had 35 views! But only 2 comments? I’ve even asked my closest friends to comment, but they don’t?!! They all tell me they like my blog & laugh a lot, so where am I going wrong? Help anyone. Please.
