Community Pool

The place for advice, feedback, and friendly blogging chatter.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

    1. Hi, one way how to get more people watching your blog (and some may even follow) is to comment on other blogs, people will come to check your blog after you comment. To get feedback on your writting ask people to write you feedback at the end of your posts. That´s what I learned so far.

    1. Hi, (I just wrote you feedback but it deleted itself, lol, so once again:)

First of all – you are not late dont worry. But maybe you would get even more feedback if you wrote more about your blog here.

Secondly – I like your blog, it is well written and have very good photos in the right sizes.

Third- I like your About page it tells a story and made me to read more.My father made me a traveler too so you got me there, I just had to know more about your trips.

Four- I like your theme, but have problems with reading the font. Maybe I am the only one, but it litteraly caught my eye so I am telling you.

Five- You made me remember my trips to Spain, and I am really happy for it, thank you.

    2. I forgotten one thing – you do not have the icon Follow on WordPress in your blog and so I cannot follow you in Reader. Would you please add it?

  1. Hello social media chums! My name is Alexa Spaddy and I have recently created a wordpress blog account that promotes my artwork, my creative process, and any other artistic, spiritual elements of my life and the world around me. I am feeling like quite the “technological immigrant” so any tips/feedback would be super dope! Hope everyone is having a great day/evening! 🙂

    1. Hi, I think you have a nicely chosen theme and all seems well, so no technical feedback here either, I am following you now and am looking forwards to your art and posts.

  3. Hey bloggers 🙂
I just started my blog last week. I haven’t gone public with it yet (as in, haven’t started promoting) because I want to fill it out a bit more, you know, put a post in every category etc.
So anyway, I was hoping I could get some feed back on my last few posts? If there’s any you like, or dislike, or anything I could do better or whatever – any feedback would be great.
    Thanks! Julia

  4. Hello,

I just started my blog last month. I haven’t posted much, but I would love to read some feedback on what I’ve written so far. Thank you in advance to whoever responds 🙂

    1. It’s not much of a feedback, rather something I noticed. I can’t see a ‘follow by email’ button on your blog. Maybe you should add that through widgets? Might get you some extra followers eventually 🙂

      Love, Just.

  5. Here’s my early Valentine’s Day post. Do let me know if you liked it. It’s my goal to blog more often than I do, and hopefully I’ll become more disciplined in the months to come.
