What will you try to do everyday next year?

Topic #341:

Since you were crazy enough to try, or hang out with people trying, to blog every day, what are you thinking of doing every day, or week, next year?

  1. Next year is 2012 so in case I get to carry through to 2013 besides the normal activities of getting up, going to office ,getting beaten up by my boss, passing on all that anger and frustration on to my subordinates and later on at home – besides these regular activities I would strive for world peace, correct the issues in the ozone layer and also aim to win the Nobel prize for blogging – well the list is long so let me see what all I can add to it. How about having just one goal, which would be to avoid making the mistakes I made in 2011.

  2. Breathe. Since it is pretty much automatic, save for catastrophic, life-eschewing, world-ending events, either personal or global, I might have a shot at successfully fulfilling this. I don’t know about others, but the more concrete and consistent I decide I should be, and the more I make definite plans, the less likely they are to actualize. I guess this makes me somewhat like anti-matter in comparison to the “think {positive | and grow rich | to manifest}” crowd.

  4. I will not try it again but write at random or write a book/s (which I did with the collection of my daily blogs).
I realize what a boring job a journalist (editor of a daily paper) do, looking for gossips, politics and mundane stuff.
I decided to go out and see what the mother nature has to offer.
We were involved in a prolong industrial action (that was the reason for writing the first book) and what I really enjoyed during that period was watching the migratory birds. Some of my writing were related to those observation without which I was running short of ideas.
My Linux updates filled the rest and most of what I wrote were junk except my interpretation of my dreams and my connection with Maha the Chief of GODS.
Good luck for anybody who wants to try it again but certainly not me.
Mind you I lost my touch of humour too.
Go and see your friends with a pint of BEER.
Please do not sit in front of a monitor even if it is HDTV.

  5. I will try to write something every day, a blog post, a short story, a chapter for a novel or worst case scenario, a tweet. By years end I want to be able to legitimately call myself a writer.

  9. Find a way to fail at something every day…and celebrate. Failure is a much maligned and misunderstood phenomenon. It may be our most powerful tool for living an interesting, exciting, productive life. In 2012, I want to embrace failure in a big way.
