If you made your own currency, what would you call it?

Botswana has the pula. Burma has the kyat. Mexico has the peso. There are an amazing variety of names for money.

What would the currency be called if you had your own country?

  2. I’d name it after myself. Either my first name, or last, or both; after all, it is my country. And I’d put only the most flattering picture of me on it, too. And a picture of my dog on the back of one denomnation. A picture of my African Gray parrot on another. My kids are the greater denominations, each kid would get one. A large denomination would have my parents on it. And I’d be the sovereign ruler, so a slang term for money in my country would be Queens. As in four Queens. No kings. That’s what happens when you get divorced, he can’t be on the money.

  4. Currency is one of the easiest language to understand in every nation. Each nation has its own language and the currency vary according to its own. So if I am going to name it I will use my own language PESO. I could buy anything with it cause it is not a strange name in merchandising here in my country. I will not use it in other country from which they don’t know that it exist. I will use the currency accordingly. What makes the world beautiful is its uniqueness. and what makes it hard is having too much variety. The Typical me chooses to learn a variety of things. God bless.
