What person, real or fictional, would you want to share a foxhole with?

  1. Easy . . . someone soldier-y. Alvin York, Audie Murphy, or George S. Patton.
No fictional soldiers like Rambo or whoever Chuck Norris played in those Missing in Action movies, because their buddies either A. died or B. were captured and then died following an almost-rescue.

  2. I will blog further about this later. But here is my answer: a person from the past? Audie Murphy (WWII hero who saved the lives of many of his fellow soldiers). A person from the present? My friend Vince Cahill (Iraq and Afghanistan hero) or my cousin Brittany Ritchie (Iraq hero). All 3 of these people are battle-tested and have served honorably. More later after I collect my thoughts.

  3. My choice would be Nick Hallaway, the lead character in my favorite book, Memoirs of an Invisible Man by H.F. Saint (1987).

  4. Genie from Aladdin. He’ll turn all the weapons and bombs into party favors so that we can have a huge party. He tends to do stuff like that, see? hehe.

  5. Anne in Anne of Green Gables or LM Montgomery as they both had terrific imaginations. They could come up with a tall tale to intertain if only for a little while.
