  1. Write a story by finishing this sentence. The story can be as long or short as you wish.

    Here is my entry :

I told him where I was going, and he hurried me out, pointing to the door with the gun, but what he never knew was that very gun was going to be responsible for his death. I scurried outside with a venomous plot already taking shape in my mind. The man had harassed me all my life and this time it is time for revenge. At-least for the sake of my baby, I don’t mind spending probably the rest of my life behind bars. The dipsomaniac was never in his senses and this was probably my best opportunity to get rid of him when as usual he yelled for a crate of beer as he shoved me outside the door in-spite of being fully aware I had to go and get my daughter from her school. I had decided to curtly agree this time around pretending to go about running what might just be his last errand. I go outside, pick a crate of beer from the store and thrust it into the car trunk. I drive to my daughter’s school, pick her up ad drive home . Various thoughts flash into my mind
    “Is this the right step?”
My daughter points at the new bruise which seems to be shining on my arm. I assure her its just a scratch by mittens (our cat). The real reason being another late night show-down with my husband. Ever since the stock markets crashed, my family has been shattered. Huge amounts of losses forced my husband into alcoholism and abuse seemed to be the only way to vent his frustration. A huge battle seemed to be going in my mind. My conscience warning me of the repercussions. I feign ignorance and ask my daughter to go upstairs. Watching my husband lying drunk with the crate already half empty, I pick up the gun. Pondering for a moment, I point it at him and say “Good-Bye dear”.

I suddenly wake up realizing it was just a nightmare. Ever since the debt crisis I have been getting such horrific dreams. I thank god for keeping me safe and go back to sleep.

    The end. 😉

  2. I told him where I was going, and he hurried me out, pointing to the door with the gun, but what he didn’t know was that there was a SWAT team waiting at the bottom of the fire escape. As the door burst open, all eyes trained to the top of the metal stairwell. His gun edged gingerly out of the doorway as he peered through the grill flooring to the alley below.

A rogue bullet fires up at the doorway, and we stumble back into the room. He turns, stern but unflustered, looking for an alternative exit. In front of us now is a corridor, four doors leading off from it. One leads to a bathroom with no windows, another to a study with a window neither of us was going to squeeze through;, and the third leading to the master bedroom. The fourth door was the door to the flat, blockaded now with a large antique chest he had dragged from it’s place under the hall mirror.

He pushes me towards the bedroom; the bedding is touseled and strewn towards the door exactly how it was left when he woke me up less than five minutes ago with an intense urgency in his eyes. I didn’t ask any questions, I just knew it was time to go. I was still in my camisole.

He locks the door, and together we push the bed against the door, and then flip it hoping against hope it will give us more cover from the guns we know are coming. He rips the sash from the window, and as he works deftly with his pocket knife to score the window pane out of the frame, I dress hurridly. Taped to the underside of the bed-side table is a pistol which I tuck into the back of my jeans.

The window pane is out, and as he gently places it on the floor we both hear the unquestionable crunch of boot on broken glass: they’re in the flat.

  3. I told him where I was going, and he hurried me out, pointing to the door with the gun, but what he didn’t know was I was a highly skilled and very deadly ninja. This robbery had been a quick and planned one, perfectly executed. But it had left one man dead, so I felt I had a duty to stop this guy.
I put all my effort into the kick and with one spin I roundhouse kicked him in the side of the head. He fell to the ground, unconscious, and hit the floor. I picked up his gun, hid it under my shirt and ran out of the back way Thoughts ran through my mind as I made my out of the street, I know I have violated the first rule of ninja training. I can hear Musashi speaking in my head ‘rule number one: Never use your skills in front of ordinary people, we must remain secret’. It’s true that there were witnesses, but I hadn’t exposed the Sukoshi Ronin had I?
My story, goes back years when I was growing up in Kyoto. I was with my mother and father, when this man in a black robe attacked my father with a knife. My father dodged his first swipe and then had grabbed his arm and snapped his elbow backwards, causing the man to drop the knife. He then pulled out a gun and shot my mother. That was the first time I had seen someone die. My mother fell to the floor and my father stood transfixed as she hit the floor, blood coming out of a wound in her chest. My father then fell to the floor to comfort her and I turned back and the robed man was nowhere to be seen. What was strange about this incident was that when the man’s arm snapped back, he didn’t let out any sign of pain, like he was immortal.
Later that week my father then told me that he had to go and work in Tokyo for a few weeks, while I was left with my house keeper, Chloe Toretto. He never came back. I asked Chloe but she said that he had died in a car accident, but I thought that this was all too coincidental. A few years later, this man approached me and told me to head to a temple in Koyasan. He pressed a note into my chest, directions which I needed to take to get there. I ignored the man and tossed the paper into the bin.
A few days later there was the same note on the table in my room, I snatched it and read it, it said:
    Buddhist Temple
Second mountain on the right under the North Star
Use the path that leads all the way up the mountain
    Arrive at 3:47pm on Sunday

It all seemed like it was very precise and was going to put the note in the bin, but instead I put it in my pocket. Something made me do that. The next day was Friday and I was wondering whether to go or not, but I decided to go anyway because I had nothing better to do. I planned to get a train to Koyasan, stay there for a night and get a cable car up to the Temple. I had made it to the temple, but I had just realized that the note didn’t say who to report to, I was confused and I also noticed that the Temple was closed, I approached it and the doors opened, I walked inside.
‘You are late’ was all I heard when all of a sudden it went pitch black. I woke up and felt this pain beating inside my head. I was in a different room now, which didn’t seemed to be very Buddhist themed at all.
‘Who are you, what do you want?’ I called out. A man approached from out of the shadows.
    ‘You are late’ He said.
‘Who are you?!’ I demanded. Another blow hit me in the stomach, I felt sick.
‘You will speak when spoken to!’ He exclaimed.
‘You are late’, he repeated. ‘You did not take the path up to the mountain like the note said, for that you have been punished’.
I had various thoughts going through my head, who is this man, where the hell am I, is this the end?
‘’As for your question, I am Sensei Musashi, a direct descendant of one of the 47 Ronin that escaped from committing suicide. All of the other 46 Ronin had to commit suicide, but I managed to escape because I switched places with a loyal friend. That loyal friend was your ancestor. I am also the head priest for the Sukoshi Ronin.’
After he had explained this story and I had asked some questions he told me that his family was in debt to my family, my father had been one of them and his father and his grandfather, all of our ancestors since that day had been trained vigorously to the highest standard.
Anyway, back to the present, I had to get away from here, they were sure to follow me. I turned into an alley way and there was a man in a black hooded robe….

  4. sorry about that long story, once I had an idea it carried on haha 🙂 feel free to continue the story 🙂 There are also some very interesting subjects involved with this story like the 47 Ronin, which is true and Musashi was a real ancient Japanese Warrior, who was one of the 47 Ronin. Unfortunatley I don’t think any of them escaped committing suicide 😦 It was a very interesting story to read!

  6. I told him where I was going, and he hurried me out, pointing to the door with the gun, but what he didn’t know was I had found his estranged father and had arranged a lunch meeting for today.
In just a split second of silence he heard the footsteps shushing me and moving the gun to the small of my back. I tried to explain what I had done and who the footsteps belonged to but he allowed but a peep from my lips. The sound stopped at the front door, he didn’t hesitate and blasted 3 shots through the wooden door. I screamed and do not recall when the scream abated.
I heard him say ‘oh, my God’, it’s him, it’s him’…we gotta go, come on, run.’ I followed him like a puppy and as we left building, I glanced to the right and saw his father sitting on the bench that was perched against the brick wall of the apartment building.

I told him where I was going, and he hurried me out, pointing to the door with the gun, but what he didn’t know was…that I had set up an afternoon meeting with Richard Simmons, my future fiance and runaway with him and the money just to leave this trashy life and this guy’s broke-ass self with a gun to fend for himself in this swampland of a life that he crashed both of us into. If the future is the Great Barrier Reef, then by all means, Richard Simmons, let’s get out of this Congo. 😛

Sheldon was behind me with his new death ray heading straight for the door with the gun. What was behind the door we did not know, but Howard had been missing for days and his mother’s phone calls were driving us all mad. Raj was thinking of returning to India taking Penny and Leonard with him. Sheldon had to do something.

I have lived with my brother’s PTSD for almost a year now. They told us that this would improve with time. Although I see some changes, they seem to have come at a snail’s pace. I know that we will look back to this time where playing charades and make-believe was a daily event. We had to play into his world so that we could lead him out to the real one all the time. We are having to do it less often though, thank goodness. I sure wish this period could go faster.

I promised to come back very quickly from my errand. He still does not know that the interior of the house has been punctuated with hidden cameras so the rest of us can watch him when we need to interface with the rest of the world.

I’m going to the stash like I said! When I pick up the stolen money, I’m calling the cops to tell them where he’s hiding out. I’m not taking any more chances now.
He can snitch on me too. I’m sure he will. The cops are going to look, and when they will find me working minimum wage at a bar and grill far away from here. Working like I always have, serving meals, slinging beer, and making tips.
Yea! LeRoy will be caught with that gun. He’ll go into a fit of rage because I ripped him off and snitched him out. Then he’ll spill his guts for revenge. That gun he has would get him two years when he’s caught. That robbery he’s going to spew his guts about is going to get him ten.

But what I didn’t know was that the guy was a deadly ninja. He dodged each and every single bullet. It was Matrix time. I called up a bunch of Agents, along with Neo, Morpheus, Trinity and that other dude. Then we messed him up.

    We iz awesomeness.

  14. Judy rennic was my boss, Jim, was behind him pointing a 45 at him just in case. As luck had it I was allowed to walk out of the bank and down the street while my gunman got into a vehicle driven by someone else again. Meanwhile I’m scared to shit and wondering if they’re going to shoot me as they drove past me.
As they drove off I became aware of reality. Would the people in the bank realize that I’d acted as a hostage? Did the teller’s detect some connection between all of us? Did the guards sense the mistrust between some of the members of our gang?
I can hear the sirens. People crowding around me. Fear ! Tears and uncertainty. “It’s ok lady, they’re gone. You made it.” More and more, moving in closer and closer.
Tears and uncertainty ebbed away as my confidence grew. Just let them hold me. Just let them protect me. In a few hours I’d be free and with any luck a little bit richer.

And that would have changed the story, for he was a green tea lover. He would have stopped from shooting for a cup of warm smooth tea, if he only knew water was boiling.

  16. I told him where I was going, and he hurried me out, pointing to the door with the gun, but what he didn’t know was that the gun can no longer kill someone who’s already dead. The day I moved to live with him, I had no idea I signed my death warrant as well. If he pull that trigger and kill me, it will be my absolute freedom. If ever there is such.
