  1. I get a quiet time anytime I want it, I just zone off from whats happening around me and just focus on my breathing, it’s a really calming effect…

When I really want out I go out to the beach, but most of the time I get the quietness I need right where I am 🙂

  2. Quiet time to me is whenever I am completely alone in my home. No one to tell me what they want or what to do. Thursdays are my quiet days, they are usually my days. I can write or read without interruption and I never considered it my quiet time, thank you for making me aware of it 🙂

  3. This is going to sound super-weird, but when I need quiet time, I go into the closet in the guest bedroom, where I keep old sheets and pillows stacked on the floor, and sprawl out on them. I close the sliding doors and put on my headphones and turn on the iPod. I sit in the dark with my eyes closed and my music playing. This makes me sound like a vampire bat. 😦

  4. I sit in my “meditation rocker” which faces my back yard. I can look out the door at nature and take time to rock and breathe.

  5. I go outside and work on the house.. That is the one time that I’m guaranteed that my kids and wife will not dare come outside to offer help.. thus my quiet time is created instantly!

  6. Its hard to answer since in my case I can’t go out and search a good quiet time, so I make do with I have. I go to my bedroom (it doesn’t really filter the noise of the house, so I stll hear everything), lay in bed and then listen to music. Its not really quiet but calms me down a little and then I’m able to tune out the music becoming then my quiet place.
I’m the kind of person that thinks that just because there is sounds arroud you, it doesn’t mean that isn’t quiet.
When I tune out my music, I really don’t hear anything. Not my music or the thing I wanted to escape in the first place.
