Describe the perfect Sunday.

What is the best Sunday you’ve ever had? What is the best possible second half of a weekend you can ever imagine having? Who would you spend time with? Where would you be? What would you do?

  1. Calm, a day when I can sleep in and no one bothers me, only if it’s a Friday, cause Sunday is not a vacation where I’m from.

    1. The reason why is my malfunctioning brain seems to like some topics so much it forgets they were done so long ago and prompts me to type them in again anyway. As there’s no rule that you have to do every single topic, and no rule you have to do every topic the way we suggest, there’s plenty of room here to revisit an old topic, find a new twist, or just come up with something else. You could in fact write about how annoyed you are that my malfunctioning brain sometimes repeats topics and why it makes you angry. Or if you don’t want to write about that, you can even write about why you don’t want to write about it.

  3. Scott–I don’t mind a repeat every now and then. First of all, at this point we may have a different feeling or thing we want to mention about the perfect Sunday. Second of all, if our perfect Sunday is still exactly the way we posted before–well–maybe some of us need to say or hear the message again. Mine has some of the same stuff and some different from last time: i will post it in about a half hour–at http://believeanyway.wordpress.com/2011/08/28/

and I appreciate the chance to revisit this particular topic!

  6. My perfect Sunday would be to get dressed, eat breakfast, go to Sunday School, and then to worship service. Then the rest of the evening would be spent with children and the grands around the dinner table after eating a
full course meal that I cooked. I don’t mind cooking.

  7. My perfect Sunday would be a lie in (but not too late). I’d start with a nice filter coffee and a good old fashioned English fry up. A nice long walk, some reading or writing and then a hearty roast dinner with a glass of wine. I’d finish by curling up with a good book. That’s the ideal!

  8. Ok, it’s Monday night over hear and it feels a bit weird writing about the Perfect Sunday on Monday, but I’m such a fan of perfect Sundays, that I just couldn’t help my self. To me, the perfect Sunday starts with me waking up peacefully (no alarm clocks or whatsover), just keeping my eyes close, letting my mind fill up with the sounds coming from the street. After that I either take over the kitchen or the remote control of the tv. Later on I spend some time reconnecting with my friends and of course a good book is in order. By the end of the day, a movie always comes along to take my mind of the worries to come with the Monday getting closer by the minute. When I think of a Perfect Sunday the book Sundays at Tiffany’s usually comes to my mind and of course the song Perfect day by Duran Duran. Happy Sunday to come, to everyone!.

  9. my perfect sunday is waking up without the worry, regret or embarrassment of a drunken night before, lying in bed watching tv/film with hot chocolate then going for a walk to revitalise my mind before meeting up with all the girls to have a laughing fest while watching some sweet films 🙂 ♥
