Do you believe in UFOs?

  3. Anything is possible. I have never seen one but that doesn’t mean they aren’t out there. There are a lot of unexplained things and there have been reported sightens. The majority of people probably don’t believe in UFO’s. I think that their are people who have seen something that can’t be proved one way or the other. Personally I don’t think there are UFO’s. It is hard to believe in something that can’t be readily seen.

  6. I don’t really have an opinion to this to say whether i do or do not believe in them. Anything can happen in this and other worlds. People believe there is other forms of life out there which is completely possible and some people believe we are the only life form.
    If there is UFOs out there then i would love to see one for the experience and see if there is life out there that comes down to visit and see what we are upto 🙂

  8. UFO’s are like ghosts, those who have felt their presence would believe and those who have not won’t believe. However, when there are a spate of UFO reports it reminds us they may be out there, then nothing for years. When the reports start again it rekindles the possibilities all over again.

  10. My cousin used to claim that he was an alien. He was a little off. But seriously, I believe there’s life elsewhere in the universe; I just haven’t seen any compelling evidence that aliens have visited us on earth.

  14. Back in my younger years, I have already believed in the existence of extraterrestrial beings. More so when I began to study science where logic started to tell me that the universe is vast so the presence of other beings out there is probable. However, in this day and age, convincing people to believe requires scientific, if not religious, findings. There has been a plethora of documented UFO sightings in my country, the Philippines, and in other countries yet they are still not enough to convince the majority.

    At around 8 p.m. of the 27th day of May 1995, my younger brother, Kelvin, and I put to fruition our must-accomplished-activity for summer vacation: stargazing. We then lied on the blanket we spread out on the house’s roof that night. Just like old times with my elder brother, what we usually search for were the familiar constellations we’ve learned from school like the Orion, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Bootes, Cancer and the most popular and easiest to find – The Small and Big Dipper.

    After having some of those groups of stars located, we paused and gazed back at the eternal heavens. Our built-in binoculars stayed there for like a minute or two until, suddenly, there was a strange spacecraft that surfaced just about three meters above our bodies. The spacecraft appeared transparent – the most distinguishing feature. It has little globular objects on the edges and around its anterior. The shape is elongated circle about five meters in length and all you see on that floating thing are those tiny globular objects twinkling like the stars. The features I am describing are similar to the aliens’ spaceship in the movie “The Abyss (1989)” while it is submerged in the ocean. (The reason why I gave emphasis to the word “while” is because when that spaceship surfaced at the end of the movie, it turned white.) The spacecraft I am describing stayed in its position upon surfacing for about three seconds (enough time to make me recall the stated features) till it move forward slowly for another three seconds. After the latter, it disappeared.

    We were both mesmerized by what we saw that it took a few seconds for us to regain our sangfroid. The first thing we both uttered was, “What was that?” Then we hurried to the window to tell it to rest of our siblings. The tale paved the way for us to moot about UFOs and ETs. It turned out to be a very captivating discussion; we ended up going to bed after midnight.

    Lying on my bed that same night I happen to recall what one of my elementary teachers once told us: “Believing in aliens and UFOs is a sin. They are products of the devil.” As a result, guilt sprouted from my system because I am a Christian and I still can’t defend my stand regarding the issue. I chose to value more the teachings of the elders like the teacher who disproved the existence of the subjects, until then.

    The following day, my grandma, who was a teacher once (for 21 years) and a religious person, came over for a visit. She’s also one of the smartest persons I’ve ever known. The adjectives I used for my granny triggered the idea of eliciting her say on aliens and UFOs amid the fact that I was indisposed by her possible answer. I was not certain if she will entertain such things. Still, I was determined to do it no matter what.

    Lunchtime came and I was still reluctant to bring the matter up so I decided to realize the plan right after lunch instead. When I was ready, I approached her at the sala where she inclined her body on our botaka and spoke out my straightaway question: “Grandma, are aliens and UFOs real?” She gave me a squint look and said, “Why did you ask that?” I replied, “I just wanna know. That’s all.” A few seconds after, she began expressing these words which are vividly resonating through my ears again: “The universe is limitless so it’s probable that other intelligent creatures exist out there.” Her answer came as a surprise considering that our reasons contain the same meat. Then she closed her eyes subsequent to her reply as a sign of refraining me from handing out another word.

    My grandma’s words had supported my belief but after more than a decade, AFFIRMED by experts: Mr. Jaime T. Licauco and Father José Gabriel Funes, S.J. Mr. Licauco’s article last 26 May 2008 in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Inner Awareness: Believing in ET’s is not in conflict with Christianity. The primary source of that article is the 45-year-old Argentinean priest, José Gabriel Funes – the current director of the Vatican observatory.

    I must say that stumbling upon that article made all the difference. Aside from the affirmation it presented, it also erased the guilt that was once tattooed on my belief.

    So now, I want to formally give my regards to our extraterrestrial brothers and sisters 🙂

  15. YES, i believe in UFO because there are scientific proof that supports the extraterrestrial bodies. I still remember way back here in my country, there is this one segment, a funny one wherein one of the character of whose name i forgot, always said ALIEN…RAISE THE ROOF….ALIEN…BRO

  17. I don’t know about UFOs but I do believe that we can’t possibly be alone, I mean mathematically speaking it makes no sense. If Stephen Hawking says there are other lives out there, then I believe that to be true.

  18. For many years physicists have been postulating the existence of a so-called Fifth Force, which would allow levitation gainst gravity and the construction of a UFO. But it has never been found. I was really excited by the recent novel “A Disruptive invention” which depicted what might happen if somebody did actually discover the Fifth force, and what would happen in contemporary American Society. The gist of it is the start of a new space race.

  20. UFO — is that Unidentied Flying Object? Because many a kitchen inside a greasy-spoon restaurant houses Unidentified Frying Objects. 😀

    My father had a Pontiac Catalina years ago, with a spot of primer on the driver’s door, and one day we heard a thud against the door while we were in the car. We got out and saw a *pawprint* in the primed spot that had not been there before, though we never saw any animal that made the print, before, during, or after the impact. Unidentified Flying Object?

  24. I believe in UFOs. Why not? As others have said, the Universe is vast beyond comprehension, so there must be life forms other than the ones on our planet. Who knows? Maybe there are amoebas the size of skyscrapers floating around in the vast darkness without even a planet to call home? The possibilities are endless. Will a UFO land on the White House tomorrow. I doubt it. Will humans make verifiable contact with E.T.’s? I don’t think it will happen in my lifetime. Maybe they are the result of mass hallucinations, or atmospheric phenomenon that we don’t understand. Heck. We don’t even know what’s going on in our ocean floors or inside our planet. Maybe they come from right here?
