Easy – the aisle! I hate tripping over other people’s legs when I have to go for a wander – especially if they happen to have nodded off!

Window. I have broad shoulders and I hate getting bumped by people walking down the aisle. The absolute worst is the middle seat. I fly tomorrow and I think I’m stuck in the middle, unless it’s a small airplane, then it’s the aisle. Either way, I’m not pleased.

Definitely the window, especially on long flights! How else can you go to sleep if you can’t brace your head between the seat and the wall on that tiny pillow?

I always choose the aisle. The thing I don’t like about planes, especially small ones, is you don’t have room to breathe! And I’m kind of tall, so I like to stretch out one leg in the aisle. The only drawback is the drink carts – that can get a bit annoying. But that’s why planes travel fast! 🙂

When it comes to air travel, I always opted for the windows–I love seeing the clouds and views from above. On the other hand, when it comes to land travel (meaning bus), I would definitely go for the aisle. I don’t know why, but I always feel safer in the aisle. 🙂

It depends on the mode of transportation to be used. But I loved seating to be near the window. I’d love to see the beauty of the surroundings when traveling. Kinda relieve the stress when you get to see the lovely nature out there.

Depends if its long haul or short haul or whether I’m in economy or business class! Short haul (up to 4 hours) I enjoy the window but long haul I like the freedom the aisle seat gives me. Though I agree with Alexy – I hate getting bumped! Business class I don’t care as long as its nowhere near any children!

I’ve never been in a plane, train, or… anything other than a car. In car, I prefer to be by the window. The idea of being smushed between two people is just not comfortable at all.

I used to prefer the window because I liked looking at the clouds, but now it doesn’t matter since most airlines make you close the shade once your in the sky. I am not exactly sure why… One time I spaced out and the flight attendant came over to my row and said ” Mam can you close the shade.” 🙄
I complied but asked my friend why do they make you do this and he said so that other people can sleep. Does anyone know of another reason? Not all passengers fall asleep during flights. So why do they make EVERYONE close the shade?

that depends on the duration of the flight. I fly very often so if its a short 45 min flight – aisle. if its over an hour up to 3 – aisle, and over 3 or 4 hours window so i can pass out and sleep all the way with my head on the side. Always in the emergency row seating for extra leg room

Funny, when I saw the question I thought I’m not giving this prompt a go then I end up developing my post and got inspired to share more pictures on the process – – YES, I would prefer window if I’ll be given a chance! 🙂 http://ittakes10k.wordpress.com/2011/06/30/1-269-of-10000-choosing-a-seat

I like to sit by the windows, especially when traveling in a plane! I like to look out when we take off and when we come in to land I think it’s pretty cool to be able to look down on the buildings as we’re coming into the airport.

I like to sit by the windows for a few reason but the main reason is to feel the cold window on my skin and as you sit in this position an slowly start dreaming and I like to believe that the outside skies make an impact. The best thing happens when the plane take off you close your eyes and lean towards the window I instantly fall asleep

The aisle..gives me room to stretch my legs on long flights, not to mention the ease in asking for a drink or a snack( if provided ).
