Change the end of any famous story, true or fiction

Topic #115:

Change the end of any famous story, true or fiction. Perhaps Darth Vader isn’t Luke’s father. Or maybe Nixon was never elected president. Pick any story, true or fiction, from the real world or a book or movie, and change the last few pages or moments of the story.

Think about an ending that has always bothered you or you thought could have been better. Now is your chance to fix it.

Philip Roth does it brilliantly in his novel The Plot Against America. In the 1940 presidential election, air hero Charles Lindbergh defeats Franklin D. Roosevelt. The novel then follows the Jewish Roth family as anti-Semitism spreads in the US and Jewish-American families are persecuted…

  6. If I could I would change the ending of the famous Muslim princess’s life, Razia Sultana. Her fall from grace and the betrayal of her close confidant and friend the Abbysinian slave have never gone down well with me.If possible I would like to see all ambitious, well qualified women successful rather than miserable because they were different and dared to defy the established order. It is a theme that still captures the imagination of historians, movie makers and the masses.
