Introducing weekly photo challenges

Any photographers out there? Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, we invite you to get involved in our new Weekly Photo Challenge to help you meet your blogging goals and give you another way to take part in Post a Day / Post a Week. Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use a “postaday2011” or “postaweek2011” tag.

3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

Sound good? Let’s get started. This week’s theme is:

Boundaries

  1. When I looked up the definition for ‘boundary’ in my copy of The Concise Oxford Dictionary, 1975 edition, I was shocked. All it had was, ‘Limit-line; (Cricket) hit to limit of field scoring 4 or 6 runs’. A subsequent search on ‘yourdictionary.com’ came up with the definition ‘Something that indicates a border or limit’. This gives a little more leeway for interpretation, which I’ll have to give some thought to before taking the shot.

  2. Presumably the pictures have to be Your Own – not trawled from somewhere else?
Hope someone replies to this? I am not entirely sure how to sign up – I thought I had, but wasn’t send a subject?
