  1. Sweet Amy Winehouse.
The summer sun seeps through the dawn.
What shall we do now you are gone?
You left us with so much to give.
Your music that part of you will live.
You flew so fast, you flew right past.
While Camden bustled with shopping carts
Alone at home you died and broke our hearts
Your life slipped by with no one there.
Parents loved and brought you to life.
Those tender years were their golden light
You touched hearts and sang your songs
But nothing lasts and you broke ours.
You drew us to your mesmerising light
While all along your life ignites?
Your life like gold dust disappears.
Replaced by gems you left us to hear.
The world was filled with vibrant song
Then like a storm you blew away and were gone
Our eyes filled with tears they dry on their own.
Those words you sang are the words we sing alone.
Now in a place where musicians play
Teaching others a genius we no longer see
You laugh and chuckle now safe at last
Thank you for the songs you shared
Sweet Amy your memory is in our care.

  2. Perversion at its Best.

Take away my childhood, mold me in your hand.
You know I’m not an adult, for this is an adult plan.
Mothers think their babies are better than the rest
Living out their own child’s life, through their passed regrets.

A child in mother’s favor is test children want to win.
Coaxed with toys and treats the parents one deceiving sin.
How happy for a moment when they can sit and play
Then taken all away. We have miles to travel,”No toys for you today”.

As pliable as putty, soft and easy to mold.
“Toddlers in Tiaras”, playing dress up, they are told.
Walking back and forth upon the stage in a perverted way.
Pleasing judges and their mothers for the trophy of the day.

Fat mothers sway their bodies, the child copies with a smile
How cute, they look to mother or a predator’s sleazy eye.
Make up, plastered on their face, big hair lacquered hard and dry,
While invisible, the predator’s watches as their child walks by.

Children should not be sexy, displayed in such a way.
The toddler does as it is told; mothers love is all they crave.
They may look cute and love to dance, as mother gives a wave.
They give up a special childhood, to have to live this way.

Cheap media brings this hourly show, where parents rant and rave,
Their money times and troubles made for the child, who did not win today.
They did not win the trophy even though the toddler really tried and cries,
This is child abuse, as parents shout we know what is implied.

Anxiety and pressure is filled within a face to please their mother every time
When life can seem so bleak. What self–esteem is grown when forced to win?
What happens to that precious seed, and makes their life so cheap?
We break that spirit of that dear child that Jesus finds so meek.

    1. Oil and Water.

We transport oil tankers all around the world. We transport oil through pipelines from countries to country. Yet the thought of transporting water to areas of the world that have drought seems ridiculous? Without water we DIE. Water is our only way to live and yet we go for greed every time oil.

Water management around the world should be a priority. No one should deny any country water. In Australia there were floods that washed away many homes and people. Those drains in the road should have many similar drains that drained away the water through a pipe to dry areas.

Engineers who want to actually do something to maintain water around the world should come up with ideas to build reservoirs, man made lakes, holding tanks, and pipe line to the areas that flood to areas of drought. Why don’t we use shipping tanks full of water instead of oil and send water to the drought areas of the world? Please do not say it costs too much I drink water and not oil. Although some drinks have oil in them ugh!

Think of all the oil tankers that have gone aground spilling oil ruining the environment killing fish and animals, then think what would happen if a tanker full of water ran aground, that would be a much better story, a water spill.

Diverting floodwaters with floodgates. Floodgates were built down stream for the Thames river in London UK and made to increase in height when the water rises. of course it may not be enough today because of global warming. But it is an idea and an idea starts with just one thought!

There are so many mind blowing people in the world who come up with many ingenious ways to make money where are those who could help all of us? Would it not be just as mind blowing to actually help the world?

Three countries who are up and coming Brazil, India, and China, have had some terrible floods and drought, in order to save the people they should take a sip of water and think of ideas to help themselves and others.

 Texas. This year, Texas has received less than half its normal rainfall: 6.53 inches instead of 16.03. Climatologists say this dry spell is the worst one-year drought since Texas began keeping rainfall records in 1895.
 Australia. Australia’s 40 Year Drought Linked to Antarticas’s Heaviest Snowfall in 38,000 Years
 Horn of Africa Drought .A cycle of severe droughts has led to a humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa (which includes Somalia, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Uganda). It is estimated that over 13 million people have been affected, many fleeing their homes and are now left with limited access to food, clean water and shelter.
 India. India is facing its worst drought in nearly 40 years because of a once-in-a-generation shortfall in summer rains, a meteorologist said Wednesday, a shortage that threatens to stall the country’s recovery from the global economic downturn.
 Spain. Barcelona is in the grip of a climate crisis on a scale never seen before in modern-day Europe. And now this parched city is being forced to import supplies from France.
 United Kingdom. Thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes amid severe flooding across England and Wales that is now believed to have claimed four lives.
 England. Parts of England are officially in a drought following the dry spring, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has said areas of East Anglia are in drought, with parts of the Midlands, South West and South East in a “near-drought” state.
 Bangladesh are usually associated with flooding, but for farmers in the northwest the problem at the moment is not too much water, but too little.

Water security has become an incredibly important topic for many governments and environmentalists. Without water, there would be no life on Earth, and while there has been some efforts towards water conservation, world wide water shortage may happen sooner than anticipated. Based on various climate prediction centers, 2011 appears as though it will bring in severe droughts around the world.

We need people who want to do something about this issue. Talking does not help if nothing is done. Education will help and hopefully engineers with the ideas will come along and save our water in ways we never thought of.

  3. The Wonders of Science. A Nano Revolution.

Now I am not a scientist but I do like to learn and after watching a documentary it really spiked my interest about nano particles and how exceptional Scientists can be.

We as humans really know how to abuse the earth and take what ever we want from it but replacing and renewing now that is another field. In lay mans terms there are people who are actually trying to undo the stupid things we have done to the earth.

Scientists bless them, have developed Nano Science where infinite particles are taken from the environment and through technology manipulated to control the abuse we have done to the environment and bodies.

What is Nanotechnology? In Toronto Canada a university have been experimenting and managed to make minute particles, 80,000 particles that can fit on a finger tip. Once placed in a solution, the particles are put into the ground, and attach themselves to the poisons left by chemical factories.

When I looked up nanotechnology I began to read and it made me want to ask “Please tell me in English”, I am not a scientist just a lay person who is dyslexic I felt like rubbing my fingers over my lips and babbling, yet my interest was heightened by the documentary I saw and I wanted to know more.

In the Saudi desert they are promoting the energy from the sun in different ways the solar power is limitless clean and environmentally safe. They are trying to unlock the energy in many ways from trapping infra red rays in a solar cell which then can be coated or painted on any surface.

In Mexico the Mayor of a town was worried about the arsenic they had in their drinking water and he had a dilemma and wanted to remove it from the water source. They had linked cancer to arsenic poisoning. So an experiment was tried with nanoparticles that hopefully would remove the arsenic from the ground water. It was a simple inexpensive experiment where gravel – sand- and ferrous oxide (rust) was used. The particles were held in a solution and pumped into the ground and like a sponge drew the poison out of the ground. The water was tested after the experiment and the arsenic had been removed.

Experiments have been made to remove oil and grease from soil in the toxic areas, where different nano particles have been pumped into the ground. Clear barrels with a solution in them had to used hydrogen for the experiment which can blow up so there was a some safety issues but they were careful, and you could see the clear solution in the plastic drum turn black as the particles were drawn out of the ground and the nano particles stuck to the toxins.

We have made many mistakes making asbestos and DDT, which kills. Hopefully Scientists can change the environment.

In Edinburgh the air is filled with contaminates from cars and buses. Doctors found that many people who have had heart attacks had breathed in toxins into their lungs from the emissions of cars and buses, which caused them to have heart attacks. Serum oxide is used to clean combustion engines so an experiment of putting serum oxide in fuel would clean up the carbon dioxide from the fumes. Ah! The Wonders of Science. I rarely think of science but I am thankful for the brainiacs on earth who try to make it a better place.

  4. Nothing to laugh about?

Instead of laughing at our youth and putting them down. Maybe we should educate them and just let them read about the things in life we know about.

    1. No you do not get pregnant from kissing.
    2. No you do not get pregnant from hugging.
    3. No you do not get pregnant from the seat of the toilet.

If you think the above is stupid, then let me ask you the adult if you lived without adult supervision how do you expect to learn. If you never talk about personal health guessing is not the answer.

Pregnant means a woman is going to have a baby, which is in her stomach.
Getting pregnant is when a man and a woman who are married get intimate and their private parts are used for this. A boy has a penis, which gets hard when the blood flows to it. A girl has a Vagina a hole that excepts the penis and the seed is called sperm, which flows up the vagina to the egg that the girl has.

    1. Yes you can get pregnant first time this happen.
    2. Yes you can get diseases from the boy who carries a disease. Some can kill and eventually mental illness.

Here is a list of diseases.
    Commonly known STD’s are:
A STD is a sexually transmitted disease. STDs are spread from person to person through vaginal, oral, or anal sex. Symptoms of STDs can include soreness, a skin lesion, discharge, itching, and burning pain when passing urine. If you have any symptoms of a STD, it’s important to see your doctor. Many STDs are easily treated, but some can lead to serious health conditions if you ignore them. Here are eight common STDs you need to know about.

 AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome)
A very important reason to recognize and treat a STD is that these diseases can make you more susceptible to HIV.When HIV-infected blood or sexual fluids come into contact with genital, anal, or oral tissues affected by a STD, the virus can more easily enter the bloodstream. People infected with HIV may develop skin lesions related to a type of cancer called Kaposi’s sarcoma (as seen in the image). About 33 million people worldwide are now living with HIV. Symptoms are often mild or absent, so the only way to know if you have HIV is to get tested. Educate yourself about HIV and symptoms of STDs. Your best protection is prevention.

     Genital Warts
The viral STD genital herpes affects about 20 percent of adults in America. Symptoms can be mild, so most people don’t know they have it. They include fevers, aches, and genital sores, and may occur up to 20 days after sexual contact. Genital herpes symptoms clear on their own, but may return weeks to years later. This virus is not usually serious, but can be spread to a baby if the infection is active during the mother’s labor. There is no cure, but antiviral medications can shorten an outbreak and reduce recurrences.

     Gonorrhea
More teens and young adults are contracting, Gonorrhea a bacterial STD. It is spread through genital, oral, or anal contact. Symptoms include burning on urination, discolored discharge from the penis or vagina, and sore throat. When the bacteria spread throughout the body, they can also cause skin lesions, as seen in the image. Gonorrhea can be treated with antibiotics, but drug-resistant strains are increasing. Untreated gonorrhea can lead to serious infections that can cause infertility in men and women, and an infected woman can pass the infection to her baby during labor. You can have gonorrhea without obvious symptoms.

     Syphilis
Syphilis has been called “the great imitator” because it has three stages with different symptoms. Syphilis is spread through vaginal, oral, or anal contact, and starts with a painless skin lesion called a chancre. If untreated during this first stage, symptoms of the second stage can include a rash on the feet or hands (as seen in the image), swollen glands, hair loss, and fatigue. In its final stage, Syphilis can damage the brain, nerve, heart, and bone tissues. If you see your doctor early on, a simple shot of penicillin can cure this dangerous STD. Later stages usually require more intensive treatment.

     Herpes
Herpes is a common, relatively benign condition caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). There are two types of this virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. HSV-1 is usually associated with cold sores around the mouth, while HSV-2 typically causes a skin rash or sores in the genital area. Both viruses are transmitted by close contact with an infected person. Despite the fact that it’s a common infection, many people don’t know they have herpes or confuse it with another skin condition or sexually transmitted disease (STD). Do you know how to recognize herpes?

     (HPV)
The human papillomavirus (HPV) can infect the genitals, mouth, and throat. It has been estimated that 20 million Americans are infected with HPV. However, many people with HPV never have symptoms and may clear the virus on their own. Some types of HPV cause a wart-like skin lesion called a genital wart, while other types of HPV can cause cervical and oral cancer. The best way to protect your self from this STD is to practice safe sex. A vaccine can help protect you against many types of HPV, but it needs to be given before you become sexually active.
     Chlamydia
Chlamydia, the most common bacterial STD, is easily treated with antibiotics. But Chlamydia symptoms only occur in about half of infected men and a third of infected women — and untreated Chlamydia can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, which can cause infertility in women. When symptoms do develop, they occur about three weeks after contact and include discharge and burning during urination. Have a screening exam if you are sexually active.

     Pubic Lice or Crabs
Pubic lice, commonly called “crabs,” are parasites spread by skin contact with body hair during sex. They can also be spread through infested clothing or bedding. The lice burrow into skin to feed on blood and cause symptoms of itching and inflammation. Spots of blood or the lice themselves can sometimes be seen on the skin. Special shampoos and lotions kill the lice on skin and washing in hot water will kill lice on clothing and bedding.

     Vaginitis
(Vaginal Irritation, Vaginal Discharge, Female Yeast Infection, Yeast Infection)

     Hepatitis
Hepatitis (plural hepatitides) is a medical condition defined by the inflammation of the liver and characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the organ. The name is from the Greek hepar, the root being hepat, meaning liver, and suffix -itis, meaning “inflammation” (c. 1727). The condition can be self-limiting (healing on its own) or can progress to fibrosis (scarring) and cirrossis Hepatitis may occur with limited or no symptoms, but often leads to jaundice, anorexia (poor appetite) and malaise. Hepatitis is acute when it lasts less than six months and chronic when it persists longer. A group of viruses known as the hepatitis viruses cause most cases of hepatitis worldwide, but it can also be due to toxins (notably alcohol, certain medications some industrial organic solvents and plants), other infections and autoimmune diseases.

     Trichomoniasis

This STD occurs in both men and women through vaginal sex. Women are more likely to notice STD symptoms that include vaginal discharge, a strong odor, irritation, itching, and burning during urination. Many men have no symptoms and can pass Trichomoniasis unknowingly. You should let any sexual partner know if you have been diagnosed with this STD. If left untreated, Trichomoniasis makes you more susceptible to HIV, symptoms may continue, and the infection can spread to the prostate in men. Trichomoniasis is easy to treat and cure with antibiotics.

Some signs and symptoms of STD’s include
 sore or blisters around the sex organs or mouth
 swelling, pain or itchiness around sex organs
 pain or burning on urination
 discharge from the penis or vagina that smells or looks strange.

This is commonly found in women and men who sleep around and have many partners without using a condom. A condom does not always work if it has a small hole in it or breaks.
You must go to the doctor. The longer you leave it the worse it gets.

  6. A CBC Treasure

What happened to the CBC culture we knew?
That National voice we always listened too.
We knew the truth whether right or wrong
    No matter what Government belonged.

With the CBC we knew what was going on.
They earned their honour and integrity
We had a voice and reliable news on TV.
It was listened to daily and every night.

Our arrogant Government found a way to rid
The irritating news of them they heard each day.
It was easy to do in an underhanded hateful way.
They thought the joke was on us, like a thief in the night.

They were right it was they who gave it all away
Our own cultural tradition, to the highest paid.
Five easy questions they got rid for the right bid.
Was it a bitter pill to those who voted them in?

Over 75 years of tradition now replaced
    In an underhanded parliamentary way
They had too many sores to cover up
Ditch that CBC bug that draws their blood

Send it to Yah Hoo Land where all is canned.
Seared or mindless easily removed tasting very bland.
Our Government crushes those who take a stand
Jack Layton won, he was our man a great brand.

What happened to our cultures and native ways?
Dr. Suzuki taught us all, which will always stay.
Many faiths and cultures now live in Canadian homes
This is the place we chose to live and no longer roam.

We need Canadian Billionaires who really care
We have Dragon’s in Canada, Air Farce, Red Green,
Musicians, Writer’s all who could take a stand
This is our CBC a cultural treasure, soon to be rare.
