A similiar article to the CNN piece appeared on Mashable. More comments and good stuff here.
Nice to see all the hard work you guys are doing getting some recognition. Keep going!

There’s a lot of “angry old man, get off my lawn” comments at that Mashable post.

The comments ARE a bit off base, as far as I can see. They are looking for content as readers, and I am looking for a platform on which to write. If you read me, great. If not, I’ve gotten what I wanted to out of my brain and on to a virtual page, whether I make somebody else think along the way or not. Blogging has been exactly what I needed, and the impetus to write every day energizes me.
I like jaycruz’s reference to the about the “angry old man, get off my lawn” comments. Perfect!

I feel the same way, Mary.
The superior attitude from some of them is a bit irritating. Who really cares?

Mashable’s article is more than “similar” to the CNN article. I’m pretty sure it is the exact same article, word for word. I didn’t compare them side-by-side, but I have this uncanny ability to remember when I’ve read something before, and I have definitely read this article before. I also agree that comments were pretty negative. There seemed to be the assumption that quantity and quality could never go together. I read plenty of quality daily blogs. I’m hoping mine becomes one of them. Peace, Linda
