How to sign up: PostADay / PostAWeek

Here are two challenges we’re organizing: Post A Day and Post A Week.  You can pick which, and then you’ll be committed to posting once a day, or once a week, for all of 2011.  We’ll support and encourage you from this blog every step of the way.

You can join up any time – don’t worry if a few days or weeks have gone by, start now.

Signing up is simple – do the following:

  1. Post on your blog that you’re participating (you can grab a sample post here).
  2. Start using the tag postaday2011 or postaweek2011 with your posts (tips on tagging here).
  3. Subscribe to The Daily Post via email thru the sidebar, or via RSS, and you’ll start getting reminders and inspiration every day.
  4. If you’d like a badge for your blog’s sidebar, get one here!

Once we see your first post, it will help us get a sense for how many people are involved in each program.

And if you need a new blog, it’s easy – go here to grab one.

Got it? Awesome. Glad you’re on board.

  1. I’ve joined Postaweek 2011 – a bit late I know but better late than never! I’ve only just started writing my blog The Darkened House and I’d be very grateful for any comments or constructive criticism you may have. Please read! Thanks, Tamar xxx

My mantra: I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a joyful and happy being. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life.

  8. I have had something to share on my blog every day until just recently. Busy with job, school life, etc. I was actually just about to post about not posting daily anymore…I thought it would be rude just to stop…and came across this. Got my badge on!

  11. Daisy, I would love to follow you but can’t quite see how to on your blog, so let me know…
I have just signed up for the daily/weekly post. I can really only do the weekly one though but cannot seem anywhere to say I am only doing the weekly. Help!!

  12. I moved my blog to WordPress.org as I wanted to add an Emotional Fitness Traiining Store. That seems to have kicked me off the Postaday challenge. Would not have made the switch if I knew that was going to happen, the happiness engineers at WordPress.org have not been helpful or I would not go public with this complaint. Hoping they will eventually give me some ideas for letting me be part of this great challenge or that someone here has been through the same and solved this glitch. Love you all and miss your responses to my daily posts, particularly the comments about Be With Beauty which seemed to inspire some of you and certainly gave me joy.

  13. Katherine, I had the same problem when I switched to wordpress.org. I had to notify the followers I had gained when joining postaweek, and some of them followed me to my new blog, but most did not. I’ve gained others though, because SEO is better at .org than .com. And I continue to use the “postaweek” tag on my posts, even though I’m not sure it’s doing anything for me.
