New Theme: Trvl

It’s Thursday, and you know what that means on WordPress.com: new themes! Today we’d like to introduce you Trvl.

Trvl

Trvl is a tumblelog theme that’s all about blogging. With a beautiful and simple design by Danny Cohen, Trvl puts your posts front and center. Literally.

It supports a variety of post formats to mix up the appearance of your blog posts in a nifty way. Add spice with a custom header image, widgets, and a footer navigation menu.

Find out more about how to get started with Trvl on the Theme Showcase, or activate it on your blog by going to Appearance -> Themes.

    I’d pronounce it trivel… but unfortunately that sounds to me like dribble… 🙂

    I like this theme, though it’s not really my type, it’s still really cool for others, anyways!!!

    I really don’t like dark backgrounds and white lettering. Brevity in text and heavy in imaging would work, I suppose.

    Nice palette and use of space – looks great on big screens too!

    League Gothic, the headings font, works well – I’ve used that before and found it’s good for headings because it’s not too wide.

    @Val maybe like “travel”… “tra-Val”! Or if we’re disemvoweling… “travaille”?

    I think I would pronounce this travel or trivial…just a guess :~) The simplistic layout really draws in the eyes..and opens up the page to post something really exciting in that spot!

    I like how sharp & clean it is. How do you make your own themes? I’m new to all this so would love a little info on customizing my blog.
