Hemingway Rewritten
by Anders NorenHemingway Rewritten is a classic blog theme with a parallax-scrolling header effect and a minimal, elegant design. The large featured header images make this theme great for photographers, or any users who want to share their visuals in a bold way.
Featured Header Images
If a featured image is assigned to a page or post, the image will appear in the header – otherwise, if you set a custom header it will be displayed. Note that a decorative background image works best in this area since it changes slightly based on the size of the screen, rather than an image designed to be displayed at a fixed size.
Post Formats & Sticky Posts
Featured images uploaded to Sticky Posts are displayed on the blog and archives, above the post content. Non-sticky posts’ featured images are not displayed on the blog or archives.
Hemingway Rewritten also supports the following Post Formats: Aside, Image, Video, Link, and Quote. Some examples:
Widgets
You can configure up to four widget areas – one in the sidebar, three in the footer – by going to Appearance → Widgets.
Custom Menu
This theme includes one navigation menu in the header. By default it will display your Pages, but you can also assign a custom menu to the Primary Menu area under Appearance → Menus.
Custom Header and Background
Hemingway Rewritten allows you to set a large custom header under Appearance → Header. You can also customize the theme with a background color or image by going to Appearance → Background.
