Confit

Building a website for your restaurant or café? Confit is the perfect theme for you. With Confit, it’s easier than ever to add (and edit) your menu, and to show off your best dishes and restaurant decoration. Map your location so customers can easily find you, and display phone numbers and business hours with our specialized Contact Info widget. You can even connect with Open Table, allowing your customers to make reservations directly from your website.

Hours & Location

Confit makes the most of the Contact Info widget, which allows you to place the information your customers need most — maps, phone numbers, and opening hours — right into the sidebar.

Reservations

Using OpenTable? Grab your HTML code from OpenTable and add it to your sidebar, using the OpenTable widget.

Food Menus

Note: These settings are in the WP Admin dashboard, which will look a little different from the rest of your menus. You can leave WP Admin at any time by clicking on My Site at the top left of the dashboard.

Add your delicious food menus all at once, or edit them on the fly by adding /wp-admin/ to the end of your URL, to access the WP Admin editor.

Under Food Menus, reorder the food menu items at any time. Changing the order of items in the menu is as easy as dragging and dropping them up and down.

After you’ve added food menu items, simply create a new page with the Menu page template by going to My Site → Pages.

Voila! You now have beautiful food menus. If you’ve added featured images to your food items, they’ll appear in your menu. Want to offer a downloadable copy of your menu? No problem. Upload a PDF version from Theme Option in the Customizer, and the menu page will display a download button on the top right of the menu page’s title spot (see screenshot below).

Full page background image

Showcase your restaurant’s food and interior with a full-page background. The maximum width for a full-page background is 1600px.

To add a global background image that will appear on every page, go to Customize → Colors & Backgrounds. If you want a page to have its own background image, add a featured image to that page.
Note: Confit allows you to add background image that covers the whole page with a fixed position. If you want to deactivate this functionality, go to Customize -> Theme Options and tick “Disable Full Page Background Image”.

Custom Header

Confit supports a flexible header image, which is perfect for a logo or other small image. Add yours to personalize Confit from Customize → Header Image.
