Another WinMX Chat Client that someone pointed out to me a long time ago, but I yet didn't try it out until a few days ago (or maybe a week ago?).

Anyway.. It's written in Python/Tkinter (open source). Has several neat things with it. I actually see it as a fully functional client, however there is some bugs with it.

One of the bugs being (or maybe it isn't even a bug).. but the chat itself is kind of messy. It looks very nice though, but some things are literally "spread" out.

It even connects to the network, and EVEN searches, and tries to download. I have not tried to actually download something with it though..... so I can't say for sure that it downloads.

WinMX Patch Page - Source

I had entered for the WinMX World patch page competition and made a page. I didn't win, however I had fun doing it. I wasn't able to make all the changes i wanted, and was basically done with it. But still had fun :)

So i've decided to hand out the source for anyone who would remotely want it.

Notice, some things have been removed & others are extremely slimplifed. Not TOO much complicated stuff in it. I kept it clean.

I removed the images out of the compressed file (obviously you can tell by how small it is). If you want those get it yourself. I also removed the download/lister/logger part. It however does have the OS Detection included.

I hope it at least helps someone learn.

ZCS A Stable

Well I'm happy to say that I've tested out ZCS and it is a work of art. As the previous post when it was not released I wasn't able to get my hands on it, however the official version was released a few days ago, (or maybe a week ago) and now anyone can use it!. A few betas were obviously available before final v1.01 release but now at least you know it's stable as is for now.

I've ran it for days and days now, and it seems to be really good. No breakdowns and such. Not as a main room, but trust me, It held up.

Beh sarebbe quasi impossibile elencare tutti i programmi che hanno fatto la storia di WinMX, dai bot ai client, dai server alle piccole applicazioni per i testi.

Il 29/10/2007 ore 17:40 Emulator decide di mettere online un applicazione che si connettesse ai server di WinMX.

Si tratta di un client tutto innovativo che ora è nel mondo MX, il suo nome è WPCC (WinMx Professional Chat Client) rilasciato dal gruppo informatico Crystal Soft.

L’interfaccia grafica è quasi uguale a quella di WinMX solo che il creatore (Emulator ®000) ci ha pensato bene anche per le funzioni. Infatti questa piccola applicazione gratuita oltre a connettersi sul peer-to-peer trilla, apre chat private e manda file.

Ha quasi tutto in pratica, il Client ha la possibilità di connettersi in Secondaria e di aggiungere plug-in.

Questo gioiellino nato nelle mani di Emulator quasi scavalca tutte le statistiche di download nella categoria WinMX-Client.Fra non molto entrerà anche nel mondo open source, dove i sorgenti del client saranno rilasciati da Emulator stesso.Reperibile su :
