I took this shot several years back in Bangkok, early in the morning.

I used black & white film for this, and shot the scene with my Nikon F75

And so I travelled here ….. To the edge of darkness where the terminator cuts through the very highest peaks of the Montes Alps on the northern rim of Mare Imbrium, and silently and alone – gazed down into the long rift valley of Vallis Alps as it caught the sun rising over Aristotle.

The grainy black & white image was taken by my grandfather sometime in the early 1930’s as he drove his horse and sulky back from Cowra in the Central West of NSW to his wheat and sheep farm “Hillford” near the village of Wattamondara on the western rail line.
