Una iniciativa que nace con la idea de mezclar distintos materiales en una misma figura.

Cada juguetes está hecho 100% a mano y existen alrededor de 150 figuras distintas, armadas de sneakers, máscaras, brazos, armas, adornos, telas y lo más importante: dientes!

Un gran proyecto que propone una estética fuerte y agresiva a un mundo el cual aguanta de todo, el de los art toys.

Our first Exercise was inspired my Me Ra Koh. Jessica has Me Ra's DVD called "Refuse to Say Cheese" and created this idea from it. Here are Jessica's exact instructions:

Choose 4 THINGS that each of our kids love to play with right now - their favorite things...capture the details of these toys or books or whatever it is. Also them playing/or wearing / or doing...etc with these favorite things.
One more thing...photograph your kids IN one of they're favorite PLACES to be at this time in their life!

There you have it. Inspired by Me Ra!

And this is how I interpreted it.

1. Here is our youngest in one of his most favorite spots of all, his daddy's arms. I doubt this one will ever change.

2. This photo symbolizes the fact that this is one four year old boy who LOVES to learn. He believes learning is as fun as playing, it is playing. His first way of communicating was through sign language and he still likes to use it. This is how our whole family says, 'I Love You'. Even my husband and I sign it to each other.

3. Every growing boy has one of these. We have one of each kind of truck in each available size. Both of the kids love to play with them in every place possible, especially sand.

4. Here's the excavator in use.

5. Every baby needs a sippy cup. The reason this stands out in our family is because our oldest, who is now four, never took a sippy cup. He went straight from bottle to glass. It's fun to watch Jesse do all the baby things that most babies do.

6. An absolute staple in our house is the Fruit Bar. Liam caught on to them early and has passed on his love of Fruit bars to his little brother. We limit them to one a day and Liam is now passing on this love to all his pre-school buddies.

7. As stated earlier Liam loves to learn. Books are a favorite around here for both boys. This final photo is also photographed in the kids favorite indoor spot, the basement. It's unfinished and is a complete mess of toys and every kind of ball (especially tennis) from one end to the other. The basement and sports equipment is a whole other blog post of it's own.

I don't know about you but i was getting pretty bored of bobble heads popping up everywhere...until now that is. Courtesy of Bif Bang Pow there is now a line of The Big Lebowski bobble heads and the only reason why i love these so much is for The Jesus. This will be his first figure and its in his best possible pose. Also to be released in bobble form are The Dude (2 variants, bowling shirt and hoodie), The Stranger and Donny; and for only $12.99 (about £7 for us) i think I'll be buying the whole set...although a Walter one would be appreciated. Who could have done this dastardly deed? It couldn't have been Dennis; he was doing time in juvie hall. What other suspects are available?

Not Trixie. Trixie has never destroyed anything in her life, apart from a few squirrels and her own fur.

Not Trouble. Destroying a pillow would involve getting out of her box and cat cup, and we know that's not going to happen.

Not the fish. If they come out of their tank, they pretty much shrivel up and die.  That leaves us with our likely perpetrator:

And why might Tucker go on such a rampage? Well, there was the little matter of Dennis's new AKC "Fox" toy:

Tucker showed no interest in the fox toy at the store (and turned up his nose at all the other toys that my wife showed him), but once we got home he decided he wanted it. Unfortunately Dennis wouldn't let him have it, resulting in much chin-quivering and pouting, and it looks like the poor pillow has paid the price.

It's the dining room table incident all over again!

Wild Cats 4 Eva...i think i'd rather stick with Grease thanks. These manic dance happy teens have a definite quality of the creepy in their jive. I think i was just sulking and wearing a lot of black when i was seventeen.

But maybe i'm a cynic, a fuddyduddy. After all, instilling kids with the morals present in High School Musical can't be a bad thing. Friendship, achievement, abstinence and music. Rock on!

Take my sagely advice, mock outrage at the High School Musical merchandise, if you have a 'moral problem' with the enterprise you won't have to take your little darlings to the cinema. You are thinking of them here, obviously.

Failing that, set them up, blame them for breaking/stealing/smashing/losing something and keep them grounded until the whole thing just blows over. It might take a while.

Oh and yes, the female lead did turn up in topless pics all over the internet, and she looks so sweet!

Attempt #1: He bought two, and I bought one. He pulled Aya Kakeda (2/25) and MAD (2/25); I pulled another Aya Kakeda (2/25). That one is really cute, but I hate getting the same one he does. At Alpha Cult in Long Beach, they had opened Amanda Visells for $7. That's the same price as a blind box, so we each bought one.

So here is my Dunny S5 collection so far:

I just LOVE Visell's elephant. The Kakeda ice cream hat is heavier than one would think, and you could feel the weight difference from the other boxes. I'll buy 2 more blind boxes, and he will probably buy 1 or 2 more. Attempt #2 won't take place until next weekend.
