So we hit a few shows last night and took a bunch of pictures. We hit the Cindy Woolf CD Release show with Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin at The Outland Ballroom, the BluesFest Afterparty Jam at Nathan P. Murphy's and even caught some dudes jammin' some jazz on the street.

まずブログエディタ(MarsEdit) を起動させっぱなしにする。

どんどん書き続けてみたり、御飯食べたり、twitterしたり、ウェブのニュース見に行ったりしながら記録。

ビール呑む。キリン・ザ・ゴールド 大瓶を女房と半分。

Firefoxを起動し、Ubiquityで題名を書いたtweetを送信。

メールをチェックする。MonaからFacebook(日本語Facebook)のfriend addの通知が来ていたのでaddし返す。

簡単なメッセージを送信。

仕事帰りに温泉に寄って帰ったところで書き始め、ビール呑んで晩飯を待つ。

テレビは無いけど、ラジオつけるのもヤカマシイし、秋の虫がちりちり鳴くのを聴いている。

ここでプレビューしてみるか。

書きながら撮ったスクリーンショットをflickrに上げているので、

Mediaボタンから挿入する。

こうしていくと延々書くことはできるが、終わりはない。

それもいいけど。

それはそれでいいか。

ここで御飯食べるのでしばらく中止。

食べ終わり再びメールチェック。

Photojojoからタイムカプセルが来ていたので見てみる。

そのままposterousに転送してみるが、メール本文に添付されている写真などは全然表示されず。

メールに" View Online "というリンクがあったのでクリックしFirefoxで表示させ、

そのリンクとhtmlを貼り付けてposterousに再投稿するも、リンクが表示されるだけでhtmlは無視。

使えねー。

終わりがない。

twitterだとその都度投稿し、そこで一時的に終了する。

次の瞬間にはもう別のことをやっていてまた投稿し、終了。

その短い断片の繰り返し。

でも前に進まないわけではない。

だけど思考は途切れ途切れになりやすい。

それと比べてオフラインでこうしてブログエディタに向かい投稿せずだらだら書いているだけだと、

webの中に入っている人には何の変更も感じ取れない。

だけれども自分の頭の中は変化していないわけではなく、いろいろ考えつづけている。

一度投稿してしまうということはMicroblogとさほど変わりないようにも思える。

そもそもこのだらだらしたのはただの長いtweetに他ならないので、

独り言が単にまだ人目に触れていないというだけのことである。

と書いてパソコンを閉じるがそうせず、2:30までtumblrとかfeedlyとかfriendfeedとかやって、

twitterにいくつかリンクを流し、寝て、8:30に起きる。

自分が飽きてもう辞めたと言い出さないうちにひとまず投稿しとくか。

それで投稿して終わりではなくて、原稿は手元のブログエディタで開きっぱなしにしておき、

textにリンクを貼ったり、その時刻時刻のtweetなどを適所に挟み込んだりしていくと共に、

アップデートしたポストを適宜送信し、上書きして成長させていく。

この自分のラップトップから書けないときは、

google docsに書いて原稿内にリンクしていくという手もある。

一度投稿したポストをFirefoxで開き、googleで"MarsEdit"などの検索しリンクを貼っていく作業に、

Ubiquityを使用する。

そういえば、とふと思い出し確認作業。

NetNewsWireにfeedを登録しておくと、ブログ記事の内容が訂正・変更、削除などされた場合に、

その箇所が横線で消され、修正して表示されていたのを見たことがあった気がした。

書き加えながら、そっちのスクリーンショットも随時撮って、flickrに上げていく。

そうこうするうちに現在の話題はGoogle Chromeのようだ。

時系列の足枷から脱出したいという願いをなんとか出来ないものか、

これではtwitterに打たないだけでここに呟いているだけのことなので大して変わりない。

メールチェックするとbrowneyesからfacebookのfriend承認メールと

自分のfriendfeedに二人のひとがsubscribeしましたという通知メール。

以上の三箇所を見に行くのでここで中断し投稿。

晩飯後、DVDで「転々」の続きを観るという流れ。

このポストをこうどんどんどんどん下に伸ばしているが、

展開としてはそれだけではなく、別の枝を伸ばす方法もいくらでもある。

Lifestreaming

最近「ブログはもう死んだ」というような内容の呟きやブログポストを目にするようになり「次はLifestreamingだ」などと云う。まず何をもって"Lifestreaming"とするのか、という問いがある。Justin.tvが当初やっていたようなアタマにビデオカメラを付けて自分の生活を24時間放映し続けることのみを指すのかというとそうでもない。（もっとも彼だってその状態を1年も2年も続けられるとは思っていなかっただろうし、だれも、知らない一個人の生活を24時間眺めていられるほど暇じゃない。みんな自分の人生を生きている。）

wikipediaを見る(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifestreaming)とあれはどちらかというとLifecasting(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifecasting_(video_stream))というらしいのだが、Lifestreamingという単語で検索するとLifecastingのページにredirectされるところをみるとやはり無関係とはいえないようだ。

"Lifestreaming"の解説を他で探してみるとReadWriteWebのこの記事からこの記事に飛び、WordSpyへのリンクを辿ると

"lifestreaming n. An online record of a person's daily activities, either via direct video feed or via aggregating the person's online content such as blog posts, social network updates, and online photos."

という解説に行き当たる。ここでやっと最近云われている"Lifestreaming"が何を指すのか少し明確になってきた。そういう意味で云うとfriendfeedやfacebook, MyBlogLog, Profilacric, それにtumblrまでもそこに含まれている。

Lifestreamingの続き

上に挙げたfriendfeedその他のウェブサービスと"Lifestreaming"という言葉について考える。それぞれのサービスがやっているのは基本的に、急速に多様化した個人個人のウェブ活動をRSS feedによって一箇所に纏め、それを一連のstreamとして見せることであり、その見せ方と他者とのコミュニケーションの取り方、及び適切な距離感が各々異なる。そこがそれぞれのサービス間の差異となり、あるひとにはこちらがしっくりくるし、別の個人にはまた他のフォーマットが好まれる。多彩化・多様化はそこに競争を生み出す。それぞれのサービスの持つ基本姿勢がお互いを刺激し合う。切磋琢磨しあるいは他と連携したりしながら、その渦は加速しながら進む。それぞれが自転しながらぶつかり合い、全体としては公転しながら上昇する。昨日より今日は前に進んでいるし、今日から見れば明日は未来。それはどこを目指していて、どのくらいの速度で進んでいるのか。いったい俺は流れを把握し上手く波に乗れているのか？そんなことは解らない。解らないからおもしろくて夢中になるのだ。

ロガーの血

上記の様なウェブサービスに自分の思考や行動を記録した文章や写真を集め一連のstreamとして眺める。そこに顕れているのは自分の生活、人生などではまったくない。それらは途切れ途切れの断片的な記録の集積に過ぎず、Lifestreamという響きから得られる印象とはほど遠い。むしろ、そこに記録されていない部分こそが、本当の自分の生きている場所であり、生活であり、大切なものである。皮肉にもそれが大部分であり、Lifestreamingとして記録されているものは（今書いているこのブログ記事なども含め）ほんの僅かな切れ端である。ただのlogである。だがそれがおもしろくてやめられなくさせているのは、やはりkuの云う"ロガーの血"なのであろうか。( Link: ロックスターになりたい, http://twitter.com/ku )

今日中に残りの"☆LAND OF PLENTY"観終わらなければならない。「ブログは死んだ」とか「メールも死んだ。e-mail = e-fail」とかしきりに死んだことにしたがるひと達を目にするが、死んでいず、朝一番は未だにやっぱりメールを開ける。もっともメールといってもほとんとが各種social mediaからの「誰々があなたをfollowしました」というNotificationや、それらのサービスから「Announcing, today, 我々はgreatでawesomeなmajor upgradeを敢行いたしました。」という連絡であったり。例えば今日はsocial news networkという分類のsocialmedianからのこのようなメール。

"☆LAND OF PLENTY"観終わる。

今晩は、諏訪湖で「新作花火師競技会」があるので見に行く。

このポストがだんだん長くなってきて、書き加えるにも読み続けるにもえらい下の方までスクロールしなければならなくなりどうしたものかと。今、一瞬だけ、この辺りで漢文のように「レ点」でも打って上に戻るってのも有りかなと思ったけどじゃあまたそこで一番上から書き始めてしばらく下まで行くとまた「レ点」で一番上に飛ばされて、ってことになり、日付でも打ち込めばなんとか流れが追えなくもないのだろうけどそのうちどこからどこへ繋がるのかわからなくなりぐっちゃぐちゃになって終了という結末が見えたので止めることにし、またこうして下に伸ばしてしまうことにする、とりあえず。

きっと１ポストあたりの容量制限ってのがあるんだろうなあ、と思いながら調べもせず書いているがそうなったらその時に考えればいい。

rapidfeeds

rapidfeedsというサービスがあり、使い始めてしばらくになる。そこにブログのfeedではなくこのポスト固有のfeedを登録するというのをやってみることにする。

rapidfeedsに登録して出来たのがこのfeedなんだけど、この固有のポストに関してのfeedがちゃんと作成されているのかどうか解らないので自分でそれを幾つかのfeed readerに登録し確認することにする。

22:54 温泉と花火が終わり夜がくる。前にBeta signupしておいた"Dropbox"からinvitation codeが届いていたので登録しさっそく使ってみている。この前撮った写真を10枚ほどsyncさせているのをさっきから眺めているが、遅い。

どれくらいかかっただろう。10分ほどかかったか？ま、それで一応syncされたので一応shareできる状態にはなっているようだ。( Link )

フリーで容量2GBなのだが、いったい何に使うのか。またいつものように試してみたり、ほったらかしたりしてみるのだろう。同じ写真をいつものflickrに上げてみる。ぜんぜん速い。以上。

Social?

最近さかんに云われている"Socialization"や"Social media"について何度も何度も考えている。初秋の晴天の下、露天風呂に浸かりながらまたぼーっとあーでもないこうかもしれないと考えていた。World Wide WebというのかInternetというのかそういうものはもともとの成り立ちからして「つながる」ために作られているものだと思うので、あまりそうsocial social云わなくてもいいのかと思う。「つながる」ったっていろいろあって、データ同士がHyperlinkによってつながる場合もあれば、知らない者同士が文字を通じてつながるというのもある。（自分勝手な思い込みも多々あるのは充分承知の上だが）friendfeedのような場所では「欧米流の交流方法」のみを指して「社交」とみなす傾向がどうしてもある。そこで、実生活でもともと口数の少ない俺なんかは特に、何か書き込むときにためらってしまい、あ、もうべつに書かなくてもいいか、と、気になりながらも通り過ぎてしまうことが多い。非常に多い。そのことでだんだん引け目を感じますます書き込めなくなる。これはもう「欧米流社交術」で云えばサイアクであり、存在していないことになってしまう。で、今日温泉に浸かって考えていたことは、そうではなく、無理して作り笑顔で「へへ、ナイス」みたいなことを逃げ腰でしかも聞こえるか聞こえないかぐらいの小声で云わなくてもいいか、ってこと。実生活でも「あの人は機関銃のようにめちゃくちゃしゃべりまくる」って人はやはり居て、その存在の仕方はその周りの他人との関係の中で成り立っている。だからって俺もその人みたいにしゃべりまくれるかって云うともうまったく無理な話で、そうしたいとも思わないし、どっちみち不可能。それがいきなりfriendfeedのような場所で「イヤーッハッハ！それすげーじゃん。Totally awesome!!!」とか別に云わなくてもいいじゃんね。言いたけりゃ云うし。

tumblrのdashboardがずーっと居心地いいのは、そういう無理強いされる雰囲気が無いからなのかもしれない。一年半もの期間、黙ーーーって写真ポストしたりしてるけど「おいおまえ、たまにはしゃべれよ」とかだれも言わない。

I don't listen to much music at all.  I have a bit of music, but I don't listen to it often.  So I've never gotten a traditional iPod because I know myself well enough to know that I wouldn't use it for any more than a month.  Vindication: I haven't used the iPod touch as a music player for any more than a month before I stopped listening.  I just don't have enough music to care to listen to.  So why am I still happy with the iPod?

It's a PDA!  I've been craving a PDA for a long time now.  Just something like those dumb sync-to-your-computer PDAs that were so prevalent in the Age before the Palm Treo.  I want to have my calendar with me.  I want to have my address book with me (with all 1,200 addresses collected from all those mailing lists).  I want to have some reference material with me.  The iPod Touch does that, without a monthly subscription fee.

It's really quite cool, actually.  I have my iPod Touch sync with my Mac Laptop.  iCal on my Mac syncs to Google Calendars, so now all calendar changes from my iPod are propigated to the Internet so all my friends with access to my personal calendar can see when I'm busy.  Those changes are pulled from Google to my (Windows Vista) workstation with Thunderbird's Calendar plugin, Sunbird.  Any change at any point spills over to all the other sources.  It's not as instant as MobileMe's "push," but for someone like me, it's more than enough.

The other cool thing that really sets the iPod Touch above a simple PDA is it's ability to connect to a wireless network.  It will automatically get my email from Google Mail's IMAP account.  If I read something on my iPod, it's marked as read across every device I use.  Unfortunately it doesn't yet automatically sync calendars over the network, but I suppose that I can't have everything, can I?

As an added bonus, my Uncle Ralph and his family gave me a $25 iTunes gift card.  So $10 later I have the iPod 2.0 software update.  So now I can write iPhone/iPod Touch applications, and use a few of the ones already out there.  I was particularly excited that there is a version of the LDS ("Mormon") Scriptures, so now I can have a backup copy if I forget them when I go to Church or something.  I also saw a ton of other versions of the Bible, so those who practice other religions aren't left out, either.  I can't attest for the useability of those applications, but the LDS version has this lovely font, and is reasonably large that you can read it.

So while it might not be living up to its legacy as a portable music player, it sure it doing a bang-up job of being a mobile PDA for me.  Thanks Apple for having the wisdom to make such a device.  Then again, perhaps it's not wisdom?  Well, I think it is.  If I ever have the opportunity, I'll probably join the iPhone bandwagon having seen what good the iPod Touch is.  Google Chrome, Apple OS X Snow Leopard, LLVM, Windows 7, Linux, Eclipse 4.0... my my, we live in exciting times!

With Internet Explorer 8 coming so soon, I have extreme doubts that any of the innovations that Google's Chrome brings to the field will have any effect on our standards-in-compliant brethren from the Borg.  However, Mozilla just went through a cycle with Firefox 3, and they could pick up some of the new ideas from Chrome for Firefox 4.  After all, Google created Chrome mainly to stir the pot and to get the browser wars re-ignited.  When the big guys grapple at each other's jugular, you win!

So just to recap, what were the biggest additions to Firefox 3?  Perhaps the greatest improvement was it's cut-down memory use.  It doesn't hog all the memory anymore.  It used to be that Safari was the king of low-memory, and now it seems that Firefox has significantly improved to put Safari in second place!  Firefox also rid themselves of the "Home" button, which is really quite silly when you ponder it!  This freed up more space for a larger location bar and a larger search box as well.  They also polished the widget design to make the whole thing look more like a super-stylized video-game UI instead of something a few hackers threw together in Java Swing two weeks before launch.

Now what does Chrome really bring to the field?  Perhaps the single largest innovation is to chop up the task of viewing pages into disparate processes, instead of threads.  This makes the root browser process much more resistant to crashing, and helps keep the risk of memory leaks contained.  They also have a habit of throwing away a process when the site changes.  My first thought was "Wow, they must be really confident about their ability to initialize their renderer almost instantly!"  My test machine is really more adept at folding proteins while running Crysis, so the performance on lower-end hardware is unknown to me.

The other really interesting thing about Chrome is that it gets rid of the search bar next to the location bar, instead offering to combine the two and allow you to do either from the same location.  This is a stoke of brilliance.  I also enjoyed how they carefully grayed-out the parts of the URL that aren't the main site.  So out of http://www.fsdev.net/projects/show/tick, only the www.fsdev.net part is actually in hard black - the rest is grayed out.  This might seem insignificant, but I think it's great.  It draws the eye immediately to the site, and then you can see where you are from there if you need to.

The one thing I didn't like is that it doesn't include a Safari-like progress meter.  Safari will fill in the location bar like a progress bar as it receives data and renders the page.  Chrome has this annoying little thingy which spins in a circle.  Since a circle doesn't exactly end, are they trying to tell me that the page will take forever to load?  Take a leaf out of Apple's book!  Copy Safari!

Google's single largest reason for Chrome, however, is the JavaScript engine.  I could care less.  JavaScript in Firefox has always been plenty fast for me, as has the engine in Safari.  I've never had a problem with it.  Well, there was this time when Slashdot had some bad JavaScript code, and that could cause the browser to freeze for about 30 seconds...  so I suppose that the JavaScript update is a good thing.

So a lot of people are concerned about how this could kill Firefox and how unchivalrous this is of Google to be courting Mozilla and then "stab them in the back."  Umm... no!  Chrome is Open-Source!  Mozilla can use anything in Chrome for Firefox!  I believe that they will!  They'll likely beef up their own JavaScript engine with some of the techniques from the Google Chrome engine.  They'll probably not use WebKit, but I hope (really really badly) that they'll adopt the multi-process design to replace their multi-threaded design.  I hope they'll adopt a more Safari-like loading bar.  I hope they'll still improve upon things.  And then Chrome will take those innovations and improve upon them!

The two browsers will get stuck in a feedback loop of innovation, which will result in a synergy that will catapult the technology of the web browser far forward far faster than could ever be imagined (even at Microsoft!)  And they'll be able to do this because the code is all Open-Source, so they can freely use each-other's ideas without doing mundane things like obtaining licenses, buying contracts, or other (freakishly idiotic) things like that.  It'll also leave poor Internet Explorer in the dust!  Unless they want to join the Free and Open-Source throng as well...

Si la última Olympus que habíamos visto destacaba por su zoom, la Olympus Stylus 1050 SW lo hace por estar enfocada a resistir condiciones más duras que el resto de cámaras.

Por ello, soporta caídas desde 1.5 metros y puede sumergirse en el agua hasta a tres metros de profundidad. Pero donde mejor se aprovecha esta cámara es en la nieve, funcionando hasta a -10 grados e incluyendo un acelerómetro en su interior para la función Tap Control.

Con ella, podremos manejar la cámara incluso con guantes. Golpeando ligeramente en los laterales o en la parte trasera de la Olympus Stylus 1050 SW podremos cambiar de modo o de función. Por ejemplo, con dos golpes en el lateral activamos el flash.

Su sensor es de 10.1 megapíxeles y su zoom de 3 aumentos. Dispone de un ISO 1600, de estabilizador digital de imagen y la posibilidad de grabar vídeo a 640 x 480 píxeles y 30 fps. La pantalla trasera es de 2.7 pulgadas y en ella podremos modificar las fotografías mediante el editor que incorpora.

Uno de los peros que le ponemos a la Olympus Stylus 1050 SW es que, como el resto de modelos de este fabricante, utiliza tarjetas de memoria xD, cuando ya es un estándar el uso de SD. Aparte de eso, parece una cámara más que atractiva si tenemos pensado “maltratarla” un poco.

The staff at the downtown location have reassured many vegans that the entree, the Swimming Angel, is suitable for their diet. We're told the peanut sauce is made from coconut milk, peanut butter, vegetable oil, and chili paste. The Swimming Angel is a great pile of vegetables including broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and spinach, all smothered in a sweet, and mildly spicy, thick, peanut sauce. This is a great dish to order when you feel like being healthy and eating your veggies, just ask for the peanut sauce on the side if you're counting your fat grams because this sauce is full of fat.

Upon visiting the much slower, similarly decorated, with its dark woods and typical Thai decor, at the North Portland E-San location I had a chance to really dig into some of the dish ingredients and explain what vegetarian means - no shrimp paste, no fish paste, no fish sauce, no chicken broth...and I was told everything on the stir-fry menu contains fish sauce. Boo! YET The downtown location has had no problem serving this reviewer, without adaptation, items from the stir-fry menu after explaining I had a fish allergy.

When ordering from the North Portland location I was told only their curries can be made vegan. I was very skeptical because my Thai friends have always informed me that most all pre-made curry sauces contain bits of sea-life. I ordered the Gang Dang and was very disappointed to have a fishy taste in my mouth after the first bite. I can't review the dish much further than that because that one bite wasn't enough to expand on besides saying it sure didn't taste vegan.

The Stumptown Vegans are very annoyed that yet another restaurant in Portland feels it's fine to mark items on their menu "vegetarian," when they contain dead sea-life.

We understand that this restaurant has different owners, though all within the family, at different locations and some restaurants may be willing to leave out ingredients, but our interactions at the different locations have been so varied we don't know who to trust.

As far as this reviewer is concerned, E-San can only be trusted for their Swimming Angel dish, Salad Rolls, and salad with peanut sauce (which is very similar to the Swimming Angel). Vege Thai - please open up your downtown cart again!

Saludos de nuevo a todos los lectores, hoy traigo para ustedes una crítica de cine, para una película que ha dejado mucho que desear en los FANS de Star Wars...

Como FAN, desde que tengo uso de razón, me he visto decepcionado por el tio lucas, quien en busca de dinero ha dejado morir SW en vez de revivirlo, alguien me puede explicar si George lucas comenzó a consumir NARCOTICOS o algo por el estilo?...

Al salir de la sala de cine mis amigos y yo solamente pudimos decir: QUE CAGADA, lo mejor de la película fue cuando terminó, no he visto una historia más aburrida de SW , cuando creí que el episodio I no tendría ninguna que la superara, llegó george lucas a traernos esta CAGADA....

La Película:

El tiempo es, como su nombre lo indica, las guerras clon....esas historias de 5 min que veiamos en cartoon network, este film se encuentra entre los episodios II y III de la saga SW, vemos a un Anakin con su youngling de padawan, dandole clases de humildad, un humor que viene servido por los droides tontos de la federacion de comercio y una historia que NO DICE ABSOLUTAMENTE NADA que no se conozca....

El Sonido:

Pues, es de lo peor, como se nota que no se quizo hacer nada por una buena banda sonora, parece que le pagaron 10 dólares a un niño de 15 años que supiera mezclar sonidos en movie maker para obtener el sonido electrónico al que los fans NO ESTAMOS ACOSTUMBRADOS, hubiera sido mejor repetir pistas de películas anteriores....

La gente idiota:

Me he topado con mas de un idiota que ha dicho: eso no es una película, son las guerras clónicas, INCLUSO: ESO NO ES STAR WARS, SON LAS GUERRAS CLONICAS, bueno, a esos idiotas les digo, dejen de jalar tanto mecate y aceptenlo, esto fue la gran cagada de lucas film, y si quiere hacer algo que no es una película, para eso está le TELEVISION....

Público Infantil:

"SW Clone Wars va dirigido a un público infantil" pues a mi me gustaba SW desde que era niño, y no por eso lucas me hizo una película con un lenguaje y música tan idiota, me hice fan de SW original, no de esta cagada que rompe con todo...si querían ganar el público infantil, con esto lograron ganarse también la decepción de una buena parte de los fans...

En Conclusión:

La Película habia que verla, no hay dudas de eso, al menos puedo decir que fueron 90 minutos de mi vida que hubiera sido mejor invertir viendo el episodio III nuevamente, es lamentable hasta donde ha llegado lucas, que acaso vamos a llegar a viejos todos y seguir viendo minutos inéditos de clone wars?....si quiere reinvindicarse será mejor que se deje de estupideces y comience a rodar los episodios 7 8 y 9 lo más pronto posible, y si no quiere, como lo ha dicho en repetidas oportunidades, que deje a SW morir como un grande, y no cagarla como ya comenzó a hacer....

Al cesar lo que es del cesar, las películas para el cine, las series para la TV, SW para sus fans....los fans no queremos películas que no lleguen a nada, ver SW en el cine sin la presentación clásica, fue como ir a ver JAMES BOND sin el tiro clásico al inicio de sus films, patético....ninguna estrella para el tio lucas...

I found that News-Press.com is not always amazing on the updating (I usually just head to CapeWeather.com or Wunderground.com for weather info) BUT they were one of the only sources on information when my mom was going through Charley and we were feeling helpless up north....

We have, for the time being, decided to stay put...So we are doing lots of organizing and packing this morning, just in case we need to move....

As far as my etsy shop goes, I will not be shipping again until Friday (8/22)...But as long as we have power and our 'net connection is up I will be checking in and updating my shop announcement....

Anyway, giant hugs and stocked emergency kits and wishes for safety to all in Fay's path....

La fecha de salida del nuevo título de LucasArts se acerca y la demo, que como ya dije en su día iba a salir en Agosto, ha sido fechada para este mismo jueves. En ella podremos aprovechar el sistema de físicas Euphoria (ya visto en GTA IV) para hacer un buen número de burradas con la fuerza. Recordemos que uno de los principales alicientes para jugar a esta demo es que contará con un final de fase exclusivo que no se verá en el juego completo. La fase transcurre en la fábrica de cazas TIE Fighter, atacada por un General Jedi, que nuestro Aprendiz deberá eliminar... a la par que elimina a todos los testigos de lo sucedido.

Os recomiendo que os metáis en GameTrailers, que para la ocasión han lanzado nada menos que seis vídeos de gameplay y dos tráiler. Tras el salto, la nota de prensa completa en inglés.

Y hasta aquí llega mi capacidad de meter paja a una noticia que se resume con el título de sobra, ya que el resto de la noticia (bueno, menos lo de Gametrailers) lo podía saber cualquiera copypasteando la nota de prensa. Salir de fiesta es muy malo para la salud y para concentrarse en redactar una noticia decente. Lo intentaré en las próximas horas. Ahora voy a ver si descanso un poco.

The demo gives players a taste of one of the early levels in the game: the TIE Fighter Construction Facility, under siege by a Jedi General named Rahm Kota. The Secret Apprentice has been sent by Darth Vader to hunt down and destroy the General, but is also told that, in order to remain a secret, he is to leave no witnesses.

Also included in the demo is a tutorial intended to teach players how to use their Force Grip power.

Azt is megjegyezném, hogy a 4.1 már sokkal stabilabb, alig-alig láttam hibaüzenetet vagy programleállást az elmúlt 1 hét alatt (kb. 3-at). Úgy néz ki, a KDE 4.1 valóban már eléggé kiforr ahhoz, hogy stabilnak nevezhessük és minden Linux disztribúcióban leváltsa hamarosan a 3-as verziót -- persze ehhez szükség lesz arra is, hogy a programozók portolják végre az összes fontos szoftvert KDE 4-re is...

Ja igen! Sajna a Rendszerbeállításokon belül a KDM ablakban még mindig minden opció le van tiltva nekem, mintha azokhoz a beállításokhoz rootként kellene operálni. Viszont sehol sincs a súgó által hivatkozott gomb az ablakban, amivel át lehetne váltani rendszergazdai módra. Hmmmm...

Sono già usciti alcuni video interessanti. E ormai sto attendendo questo gioco spasmodicamente.

Veniamo al gioco.

Spore sarà una simulazione dell'"evoluzione di una civiltà dalle prime molecole fino alla conquista della galassia." Consisterà in varie fasi molto lunghe, ognuna delle quali avrà il suo stile di gioco. Will Wright ha detto di aver cercato di rendere i giocatori in grado di passare tutto il tempo che vogliono su ciascuna fase. Se ad un giocatore piace ad esempio la fase delle creature, non sarà costretto ad abbandonarla per proseguire finché non vorrà farlo.

I giochi e i film che Wright ha associato alle varie fasi sono:

1. Pac-Man per la fase delle cellule,
2. Diablo per la fase delle creature,
3. Populous per la fase tribale,
4. SimCity, Risiko! e Civilization per la fase di civilizzazione,
5. SimEarth, Destroy All Humans!, Incontri ravvicinati del terzo tipo e 2001: odissea nello spazio per la fase spaziale, con elementi di sandbox per il tipo di gioco. Pare che sia simile anche a Master of Orion.

Lo svolgimento di ciascuna fase del gioco determina il preciso punto di partenza della fase successiva. Nella presentazione originale di Spore, la creatura “guidata” da Will Wright nella “fase delle creature” era basata sull'aspetto della cellula alla fine della fase precedente. Aveva una coda, tre gambe, occhi e bocca pressappoco nella stessa posizione, e così via.

Wright ha detto che la "personalità" delle creatura, sia essa di tipo logico o emozionale, sia l'animale pacifico o feroce, viene tutta modellata dallo stile di gioco.
