Who?

Hide And Seek - Zack (vocals), Savannah (trumpet, vocals), and Devin (vocals)

What?

Experimental, Happy Hardcore

Sounds a lot like The DeathSet with more Wham City-esque quirks.

"Son of A Gun" (DNT 2006)

Where?

Winston-Salem, NC and on their myspace.

Why?

I really don't know why these geniuses split. According to an inside source, there was some irreconcilable internal boo-boos that made life hard. Whatever.

Go to their myspace and download their tracks fo'fwee!

Are you a Appetite-era GN'R fan? Do you just love the raw and gritty sound of that album? The absolute mayhem the album was about?

Than I recommend you buy the latest Classic Rock magazine, 'cause when you do that, you'll get a free cd with it called "Sons of Guns III". The disc contains 16 bands with an Appetite For Destruction! Bands like Crystal Pistol, Dopesnake, Bubblegum Screw, Gypsy Pistoleros, United Enemies and Flexx Bronco bring you that sleazy, bluesy rock n' roll sound GN'R once stood for.. So if you're sick of waiting for Chinese Democracy and want to get the feel like you're listening to a new (old)Guns N' Roses record, Buy the fucking magazine!

This months issue also contains an interview with Duff McKagan and Slash about the break-up with Scott, and an interview with Scott about Velvet Revolver.

My dad's birthday is next week. I'm hoping he doesn't read my blog before then because this is his gift. The photo is him as a boy. I collaged a 1940 Hunting and Fishing magazine ad page onto an old dictionary cover, 6.25" X 8.75". The silver strips are soldered. I was a little nervous that I would burn up the paper with the solder iron, but it worked great. The finishing touch will be adding wire on the back to hang it.

This piece also fits into the Mixed Media Monday theme of Paint, since I painted the paper and around the photo using acrylics.

Eis algumas delas:

Em 1979, Abba com 'Gimme, gimme (a man after midnight):

E em 2005, Madonna com 'Hung Up', depois de ter implorado pelo sample:

Em 1972, Carly Simon com 'You're so vain':

Em 2002, Janet Jackson com 'Son of a gun (I betcha think this song is about you) com colaboração da original:

Em 1981, Queen com 'Under Pressure':

E em 1990, Vanilla Ice jura que nem pensou na banda pra fazer seu 'Ice Ice Baby':

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Joey Bishop, the stone-faced comedian who found success in nightclubs, television and movies but became most famous as a member of Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack, has died at 89. He was the group’s last surviving member. Peter Lawford died in 1984, Sammy Davis Jr. in 1990, Dean Martin in 1995, and Sinatra in 1998.Bishop died Wednesday night of multiple causes at his home in Newport Beach, publicist and longtime friend Warren Cowan said Thursday. The Rat Pack became a show business sensation in the early 1960s, appearing at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas in shows that combined music and comedy in a seemingly chaotic manner.Reviewers often claimed that Bishop played a minor role, but Sinatra knew otherwise. He termed the comedian “the Hub of the Big Wheel,” with Bishop coming up with some of the best one-liners and beginning many jokes with his favorite phrase, “Son of a gun!” MORE
