This Just In: Ehlers and Goldin are Emmy winners according to ABC!

Come on, ABC! Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) and Beth Ehlers (Taylor, who now has a new last name, Thompson) are not, I repeat not, Daytime Emmy winners as the network promos are erroneously heralding. The former GL superstars did win a silly couple prize during a CBS telecast but that does not make them Emmy winners! Here’s an idea: write them an Emmy-winning story.

Jacob Young (JR; ex-Lucky, GH) is a real Daytime Emmy Award winner, however. The singer-actor and his wife, Christen announced they will become first-time parents on Nov. 19. "It's a boy," delivers Young, who adds his child’s name is not meant to pay homage to his former GH dad, Anthony Geary (Luke). Young goes on to add his next baby will be called Scotty or Laura. Or Helena. Teehee…

One down: Colin Egglesfield (Josh) has been bumped to recurring status. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Chuck Pratt Jr. un-unaborted Erica’s baby? Hey, if Pratt could somehow rectify the biggest travesty in daytime storytelling history, I’ll offer to call him a Daytime Emmy winner! Perhaps, Erica could be electrocuted and travel back in time?

However, if Meg, Chris and Alison die thanks to this Machiavellian effort, I’ll name this plot twist ingenious.

We all in the family love to watch Ramayana on Television. For many, this is an epic, but the fact remains that Ramayana is a part Indian Culture.

We also have seen the recent commercials of Ramayana.

Two young boys fighting and saying -

"Kutta Kamina, Kanpati Par Doonga, Chup Kar Kamine"!

And sweet girl saying to the next door neighbor -

"Bhag gayi hogi kisi ke saath". "Mujhe to pahle se hi shak tha", "Garam Khoon Hai Na, Kahan Jaayegi Kalmuhi"!, "Subah Tak AA Jayegi"..

Television advertising has been an established form of advertising and it reaches children too. In some countries there are laws which say

“A commercial with advertising that is broadcasted during commercial breaks on television must not have the purpose of attracting the attention of children less than 12 years of age.”

It is ironic or rather unfortunate that here children are in lead roles.

In India also there are certain codes of ethics for commercial broadcasting, issued by the advertising council of India, especially when it involves children.

Indecent, vulgar, suggestive, repulsive or offensive themes or treatment has to be avoided in all forms of advertisement.

Media should not make it such a melodrama when the same thing can be put forward in a better way.

But why to blame only the media? We all are responsible, especially parents who allow their children to do so. Don’t they realise, the damage they are causing to their children, and if they do understand this, they have no right to pass on this to the teachers and society.

We all have to think before it is too late.

So you were playing with your new iPhone, and fell down an elevator shaft because you weren't paying attention, huh?

Well here's your silver lining: You probably purchased insurance for your new iPhone, so don't worry it's replaceable. Another good thing is that you don't have to bother with chewing anymore, as your jaw is now shattered and will be wired shut for 8-10 weeks. That means you're on a pudding and health shake diet brotha. Another upside is that during your 18 month rehab process of learning to walk again, you may very well end up with mildly attractive physical therapist. So buck up there buddy, and from now on take the stairs.:)

Quel mattino era particolarmente dolce e frizzante, l’aria sapeva di primavera, anche se era ancora inverno pieno ma si sa ormai il tempo quanto sia strano e bizzarro.
Il giardino di Mascarpona restituiva quell’atmosfera con gli uccellini che si inseguivano cinguettando come impazziti di gioia.
Lei era invece indaffarata come sempre in cucina tra la preparazione del suo famoso ragù alla bolognese e l’impasto delle tagliatelle che stendeva abilmente con il suo mattarello sul marmo poggiato sul tavolo di legno massello.
Ad un tratto qualcosa la attirò ferocemente alla finestra sul giardino:”
Basta! Mi state rompendo le palle! Zitti basta!”

Mascarpona non sopportava gli uccellini, tornò dentro, aprì l’ultimo cassetto della credenza e impugnò la pistola ed uscì sul balcone iniziando a sparare allo stormo di uccellini che con un unico frullare di ali si allontanò.
Quasi follemente soddisfatta Mascarpona soffiò sulla canna ancora fumante della pistola:”
Meglio di quella stronza di Calamity Jane!”
“Ecco perché tuo marito è venuto con me…non ti è mai piaciuto l’uccello!” Una voce dura e severa ruppe l’atmosfera in un attimo, Mascarpona non fece in tempo a voltarsi che si vide arrivare il suo mattarello ancora infarinato in piena fronte, lanciò un grido, un fiotto di sangue schizzò lontano macchiando la pentola con il ragù che ribolliva sul fuoco.
“Tu…tu…come…come…” Mascarpona non riusciva a distinguere chiaramente la massiccia figura che si ergeva dinanzi a lei:”
Io…io…e io…sei solo una piccola latteria ambulante! Muori! Muori! Muori!” La figura continuò a colpirla alla testa ripetutamente.
Lasciò cadere il mattarello insanguinato, spense il fuoco del ragù, prese la pentola che ancora bolliva, cercò velocemente tra i mobili della cucina e trovò un contenitore per alimenti, vi versò all’interno il ragù ancora caldo e richiuse il tutto.
“Oggi ragù!”

“Aragoste! Totani! Alici belle…alici fresche!...Sirene...Venite…prezzo speciale!” Filiberta gestiva da anni con successo il banco del pesce della vicina piazzetta della misericordia, lei e il marito Ubaldo sembravano molto affiatati, lui pescava all’alba ciò che lei vendeva brillantemente.
Mentre era intenta a raccogliere delle alici, Filiberta vide arrivare con urgenza una donna ancora in vestaglia da notte sgualcita.
“Devi venire subito…è successa una tragedia…Mascarpona…è morta…stecchita…abbattuta come un uccello…!”
“Ma che dici? Tu poi per le tragedie meglio di Alda d’Eusanio! Ma chi la uccide a quella!”
“E invece ti dico che è morta…l’hanno ammazzata con il mattarello!”
La donna piangeva a dirotto e singhiozzava convulsamente.
“Madò mò mi fai preoccupare veramente…Lacrimo’ ma sei sicura?”
“Ti dico di si…vieni andiamo… è pieno di Carabinieri!” Filiberta lasciò all’istante il banco e sottobraccio con Lacrimogena corse verso la casa di Mascarpona.
Già nell’avvicinarsi al cortile, le due donne trovarono gente ferma e sparsa nei dintorni e macchine dei Carabinieri e un’ambulanza che stava trasportando una lettiga con un corpo coperta da una cerata nera.
Filiberta si fece largo e si avvicinò, abbassò la cerata e venne colta da un sussulto:”
Oddio poveretta…ieri aveva fatto la permanente! Ma chi l’ha ridotta cosi?!”
Lacrimogena continuava a singhiozzare e piangere aggrappandosi a Filiberta che intanto cercava di farsi largo tra la folla per entrare all’interno della casa.
Dalla casa proveniva un odore di ragù che metteva appetito.
“Era sempre una gran cuoca! Guarda qua quanto ben di Dio!”

“Scusate ma qua non potete stare…rischiate di rovinare delle prove!...Voi la conoscevate la signora?" Uno dei giovani Carabinieri si avvicinò alle due donne.

Si certo eravamo amiche...facevamo la spesa insieme, raccoglievamo i punti del latte assieme...insomma facevamo tutto insieme insomma…vero Lacrimò?” Ma Lacrimogena singhiozzava ininterrottamente.
“Non ci fate caso…questa è cosi…piange peggio di Brooke in Beautiful!...E’ sensibile!”
Il Carabiniere le accompagnò fuori mentre tra la folla uno sguardo le osservava attentamente, sembrava conoscere le due donne.

In città il parrucchiere Furibondo Calmato stava piastrando i capelli ad una cliente, il negozio era molto frequentato e conosciuto “Capello Pazzo” era il coiffeur più ambito della zona.
“Allora Cris…ti piacciono cosi…più lisci…secondo me ti tolgono almeno dieci anni…ti devo fare pure le mesc?”
“Le mesc le fai a tua sorella in mezzo alle gambe!...Basta che spilli soldi tu!...Vanno bene cosi!”
Crisantema era odiata praticamente da tutti o quasi, dispotica, sboccata, scostumata anche se era una bella donna, sempre ben truccata, ben pettinata e ben vestita, peccato che quando apriva bocca pure le pietre si vergognavano per lei.
“Povera Mascarpona…morire in quel modo in casa sua…io non lo so…qua manco in casa propria si sta al sicuro…bò!” Furibondo posò la piastra e con le mani dava gli ultimi ritocchi al suo lavoro.
“Eh già…ma quella slavata non si faceva mai i cazzi suoi…conosceva sempre vita, morte, miracoli, resurrezioni, imbalsamazioni, indiscrezioni, indecisioni, dubbi, incertezze, paure, ossessioni, fobie, stronzate, ambivalenze…chella troia…se la teneva conservata per i vermi!”
Furibondo intimamente disgustato da Crisantema subito le diede il conto, lei si alzò, prese la borsetta di camoscio e il portafogli di pelle di rinoceronte.
“Sei proprio un mafioso autorizzato lo sai? Ottocento euro per uno shampoo e una messinpiega non ti sembra eccessivo piccolo frociazzo dei tombini?!”
“E tu sei sempre la solita tirata come Alba Parietti…ma se ti ho fatto pure lo sconto comitiva?!”
Crisantema gli firmò l’assegno velocemente e lasciò il negozio.

Entrando nella sua Fiat 127, Crisantema rovistò nella borsetta e cercò qualcosa al suo interno, notò un guanto macchiato di sangue, si guardò intorno, mise in moto e partì ad elevata velocità, circa 20 all’ora.

Soap Series: una soap storica CAPITOL

E' la prima soap opera ad essere stata trasmessa integralmente da una rete nazionale italiana, Rai Due.

La soap, creata da John Conboy, narra le vicende di due famiglie rivali, i Clegg e i McCandless, rivali in politica da anni, che si combattono dalle poltrone del Congresso degli Stati Uniti.

La rivalità tra le due famiglie risale agli anni '50 quando, durante il periodo del maccartismo, Judson Tyler, patriarca dei McCandless, era stato annientato politicamente dai Clegg capeggiati da Sam e soprattutto da sua moglie Myrna.

Chiaramente i cliché della soap sono tutti rispettati: un amore da Romeo e Giulietta (tra la dolce Julie Clegg e Tyler McCandless), un congressman innamorato di una squillo (il rampollo Trey Clegg e Julie Harper), una cronista d'assalto (Sloane) e così via.

La soap è approdata nei primi anni '80 nel primo pomeriggio di Rai Due che, visti i risultati, l'ha successivamente spostata al lunedì in prima serata.

Al momento della cancellazione, la casa di produzione non ha avuto neanche il tempo di dare un finale alle numerose storie ancora aperte, tanto che l'ultima scena vede la giornalista Sloane davanti al plotone di esecuzione in un piccolo stato immaginario del medio oriente (il Baraq).

Come successe anche negli Stati Uniti, lo spazio lasciato libero da Capitol fu preso da Beautiful.

Mary ordered me the second season of the Office from netflix and I watched something like six episodes in a row TWICE on Saturday night. That show cracks me up. Just... Beyond hilarious. I can't believe I haven't been watching this all along.

Of course last night I watched a discovery channel mega marathon of my current favorite soap opera, deadliest catch (I love this show. I love watching the boats get swamped by four story waves. I love watching them disappear into the troughs in the churning sea and then come climbing up, bow first only to pitch headlong down the other side - it's all very exciting. I love the smoking and cussing and days without sleep. Oh wait... That's what happens at my house while I'm watching...) yes, the ugly truth is deadliest catch has booted miami ink (or as mary calls it "my stink") out of my heart as fav soap opera ever.

So. There's a scenic tour of my current tv favorites. Now back to our regularly scheduled Monday.

While a show rep maintains Hickland will continue to recur as the recently incarcerated Lindsay, Soap Opera Weekly is reporting the star will be “off the canvas for the foreseeable future because no final decision has been made regarding Lindsay’s fate. I first became aware of Levi a couple of years listening to my favorite award winning podcast the Feast of Fools (http://www.feastoffools.net/). He was interviewed by the hosts of the show Fausto Fernos and Marc Felion.

When I listen to the podcast you are immediately drawn to this personable man and to his story. Levi was featured in the show the Apprentice which became his big break. He has appeared in film, TV and has released a couple of albums. He has written music.

His hit song, “I Should Go” became a hit song on the Days of Our Lives in a major story line.

The song “Just this Good” which came out of the show Apprentice is one my favorites. Here are the lyrics:

“You Found Me” is another song that is a favorite of mine.

Kreis roots are in Eastern Tennessee and his music reflects it. He started in traditional Christian Gospel and has grown to a very soulful, jazz , rock musical niche. I want to emphasize soul.

Levi speaks of his coming out journey as a gay man and you feel and hear that story through his music. You sense it has been a deeply spiritual, emotional and sensual experience for him.

I recently spent an afternoon with a friend of mine visiting from Long Beach who happened to see Kreis in concert. Apparently this intensity and sex appeal carries off on stage also. My friend was lustful for Levi.

So Mr. Kreis has all those elements that make him both a consummate artist and a pop star. He has also been a voice for a segment of the gay community- the Christian gays.

No one better understand their challenges than him.

With a new album coming out in fall and the momentum that continues to grow, Levi Kreis is fast filling the role of future music giant. I believe he is on the verge of a major breakout.

Apparently, every parent's worst nightmare is Popsquire's dream come true!

The CW is launching its latest print campaign for the fall season of Gossip Girl. Replacing last year's "OMFG" campaign is the above poster, which quotes commentary from the Boston Herald. Other ads will include headlines like "A Nasty Piece of Work" and "Mind-Blowingly Inappropriate," the latter a quote from the Parents Television Council.

Brilliant!

Dopo la scomparsa di Claudio Capone, in tantissimi continuano a scrivermi ogni giorno per chiedere chi sarà la nuova voce italiana di Ronn Moss, interprete di Ridge Forrester nella soap opera statunitense più seguita in Italia, "Beautiful", in onda dal lunedì al venerdì alle ore 13.40 su Canale 5.
In un topic del Forum dei Doppiatori collegato al mio sito web Il mondo dei doppiatori le proposte sono fioccate: Luca Ward e Roberto Chevalier i nomi più "gettonati".
Adesso ho saputo in anteprima esclusiva la nuova voce italiana di Ridge Forrester, diversa da quella ipotizzata dagli appassionati: si tratta del cinquantunenne Fabrizio Pucci (foto a destra - cliccate qui per il curriculum completo), che tra l'altro ha doppiato al cinema attori del calibro di Hugh Jackman, Brendan Fraser, Gabriel Byrne e Billy Bob Thornton, e che vanta tra i suoi principali ruoli televisivi i doppiaggi degli attori James Denton in Desperate Housewives - I segreti di Wisteria Lane e Codice Matrix, Esai Morales in NYPD - New York Police Department e nella seconda stagione di Jericho, Tim Daly in Il fuggitivo e Eyes, Neal McDonough nella poliziesca Medical Investigation, Bill Paxton in Big Love e Jon Hamm nella premiatissima Mad Men, e di A Martinez nella soap opera "Santa Barbara" (anche in quest'ultimo caso sostituendo, dopo qualche anno, la prima voce dell'attore, Luca Ward).

We open on the never-ending squabble between White-Eyes and Sunbirds for the bouganvillea-impaled apple. The male Sunbird takes time out only to berate his drab mate if she dares sip from the feeding bottle.

Upstage left, Narcissus the Bulbul concusses himself repeatedly on his reflection, startling the dog; who in turn, sees off the bandit hadedas and starlings with a flurry.

The dapper Robin makes a dramatic entrance, chestnut-tail flashing; then vanishes.

Meanwhile, the Cape Thrush hacks the apple till it falls to the ground, causing great consternation.

The Southern Boubou enters stage right. All other birds disappear.

Tension mounts…
