Feedback is always much appreciated! I'm very pleased with the result and definitely picked up some valuable skills along the way. I still have a long way to go especially compared to the amazing people at Psyop, Superfad, and Digital Kitchen to name a few. However some of the things that I found very frustrating before, are beginning to feel a lot more natural to me and with that, I can smile.

I'm now back to the drawing board for my potential 'short film'. A new Canon HF10 would be very useful! :P

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is pleased to announce and fully support the Recreational Perfor

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is pleased to announce and fully support the Recreational Performance Outerwear Apparel Act of 2008 (RPOAA) (H.R. 6483), which will eliminate import duties on many items of recreational performance outerwear. The RPOAA was introduced in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, July 15, by Representative Earl Blumenauer (D-OR). SIA has worked with a coalition of outdoor performance apparel manufacturers, including the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), to develop the legislation.

Under the bill, recreational performance outwear is distinguished from other apparel for purposes of duty-free treatment as high-tech apparel, particularly jackets and pants, specifically designed for outdoor recreation activities in challenging conditions (snow sports, mountain climbing, water sports, biking).

The RPOAA is of particular importance to SIA members because U.S. tariffs on recreational performance outwear are some of the highest the United States imposes on imports (e.g,. a knit performance outwear jacket is subject to a 28% duty).

The bill also invests substantial resources in U.S. technology that focuses on sustainable, environmentally-conscious manufacturing by helping textile and apparel producers streamline their supply chains, minimize water and energy use, and reduce their overall environmental footprint.

For additional information, please contact PR@snowsports.org or Leslie Groves at 703.556.9020.

Today I received a message via myspace from a local company with their concerns pertaining to sticker placement etiquette. At this time I suppose I should seriously question my snow team parenting abilities due to this great infraction of our inability to police Summit County and it's surrounding communities from our tenacious sticker wielding delinquents. Obviously, I have much to learn from this. If there are any other concerns of such a serious matter needing my attention, my email address is functioning as well as my business phone. Obviously I don't check the myspace as often as I should for business communication. Thank you. Shop Mama

Hey how's it goin, I just wanted to drop by and talk to you about a certain situation that's going on up in Breckenridge. My name is Andrea, and my fiance Josh owns Tall T Productions, a local clothing company. We are absolute supporters in any local shops and the small businesses out there that are trying to make it in a snowboard world that's been bought up by the corporates. I've heard about your shop through a couple of friends of mine, Matt P. and Kyle Cartwright specifically, and it sounds like you are very good people. Unfortunately, my fiance has seen a different side of this because of a couple of the kids up here that support you guys. Some of the kids that are on your snow team, and I believe it to be Zac among others, are going haywire with your stickers and putting them all over any Tall T, Candygrind, and They stickers all over town... and if they don't have enough stickers to cover up whoever's stickers they're hating on, then they just tear them down leaving only enough behind to show what they've done. They've even made up their own stickers using Candygrind's logo to put up in town that can hurt Candygrind's business, always with a Cartel sticker slapped up next to it. These kids are definitely throwing out some hater vibes, and unfortunately they are doing it with your name. There is plenty of room for Cartel's stickers right next to ours, because if we work together I think we can all walk away with a stronger backbone. Tall T and Candygrind specifically are great companies run by amazing people, I'm sure very much like yourselves, we are all about supporting the little guys...
So I just wanted to let you know what some of the kids up here who represent your shop were doing, because I know personally that no small businesses like to make enemies, and I think it would be great to have you on our side.

Thanks for listening!
-Andrea

So I went to Vermont this past week. I stayed overnight with my mom since I was lucky enough to be summoned for two job interviews (places will remain nameless... for now at least!) I feel pretty good about how things went, but official business aside, I had a great time just taking a road trip, bonding with my mom and seeing just a little bit more of what the country has to offer.

Believe it or not, and I'm not sure if this makes me a "gaper" or a "poser," but I've only been to Vermont once. My brother and I took a random one-day shred trip to Mount Snow last November for the second weekend they were open. That was a VERY long day, but riding on the 17th of November ruled.

Anyway, it was awesome seeing Vermont, even in the middle of the summer. We passed a "Milken Parlour," which I'm hoping was a funny name for a bar. We also saw a lot of really nice properties and charming little stores... and people without teeth. I'll be honest, it was a slight culture shock, but nothing I couldn't see myself adapting to if not embracing right away. I will however, continue to brush and floss religiously. Old habits die hard.

If I do find myself working in Vermont, I can finally find out what it would have been like if I had gone to college up there. Being an hour or two away from some of the east coast's largest ski resorts blows my mind. So yeah, I could get a "do-over," and that rocks my socks.
