Microsoft's Subscription Model: Signal That Software License Gouging May Be Over Or Death Knell To A Business Model?

In the face of the free-ware generation, copyright infringing masses, Microsoft corporation, the mon

In the face of the free-ware generation, copyright infringing masses, Microsoft corporation, the monolith of the 1980's, and leader of the software licensing business model announced today that they are launching a subscription based model. This news begs the question:

Has the software industry, primarily Microsoft, seen the last days of price gouging through software licensing? Is this the death of the Microsoft business model?

Analysis

As a former national account manager for a software reseller, I managed the software utilization for one of America's largest banks-Wells Fargo. In my experience within this niche, two things came to my mind immediately in 2001:

1. Rip Off: Companies were buying licenses and being ripped off by licensing requirements, lack of understanding of the price matrix, and the forced obsolecence of perfectly fine operating systems.

Note: Microsoft's cash cow was based on planned obsolecence and they milked that bad boy to the hilt--killing the golden goose in the process

2. Sharing: rogue companies were already burning software, hacking packages, and attempting to proliferate their resources without having to pay exorbenant fees for the licensing of what they felt was their own property

Final Final

It is a new age with the onset of Web 2.0 readying the approach of Web 3.0. Transparency in business practices, shared intellectual properties, value based giving, and citizen journalism through the phenomenon called blogging has changed our business world forever--and for the better.

I'm not sure where Red Robin comes from. When I was a kid in Seattle, I thought that it was a local chain. But the world was a lot smaller back then. At least my world was.

It's a little bit different here in Silicon Valley...the Seattle ones seemed to have more of an emphasis on the bar.

After checking the Red Robin website...I was right, it did start in Seattle...but is now headquartered in the Denver area. It looks like the chain is doing quite well, and good for them. They seem to have a good product everywhere I've been.

There are at least half a dozen burgers on the menu that I could go for at any given visit...it is always a tough choice. For the purposes of this review, I went (for the first time ever) with the Blackened Bayou burger.

TASTE - Very, very, very good. This is well conceived, well executed burger. The cheese, meat, onions, peppers, and cole slaw all go very well together. Did he just say cole slaw? That might not be what they call it, but that's what it seems like. For something labeled "Blackened Bayou" I thought that it should have had a touch more heat. Then again I did down quite a few of those "bottomless" strawberry lemonades.

SELECTION - There is a huge range of selections at Red Robin. I mean HUGE. And the write ups of each of the burgers are great...it makes you hungry just reading the menu. Burgers come with bottomless fries....AND they have this seasoning on the table, that I never see people in California using, but the fry seasoning is excellent. Red Robin has a full bar...the bottomless strawberry lemonades are a deal. The onion ring appetizer is a good way to keep from getting too hungry before your burger arrives.

CREATIVITY/X-FACTOR - VERY high marks for creativity. Seriously, the selections on this menu give me the hardest time in making a decision of any burger joint that I know. Usually something will pop out at you, but at the Red Robin, it always seems to be a couple things that jump out at me. X-factor= kids like the stuff on the kids menu, AND they have veggies for a side dish for the kids.

RESTAURANT - The restaurant is neat and clean in a corporate manner. It's probably just a little over the line in my book for being "too cookie cutter".

EXTRAS/FRESHNESS/ETC - Food is good and fresh. The got all of the customizations on our groups order correct....and the kids liked the kids menu food (always a bonus!). The bottomless fries and drinks are a nice bonus...but sometimes are slow to arrive

SERVICE - The staff is always friendly and courteous...and they've always seemed to be really good with my child. Sometimes they seem too nice. I suppose that clapping and singing "Happy happy birthday from all of us to you...blah blah blah" can do that to a person.

OVERALL SCORE 86 out of 100.

If I had an award for “Best Hamburger of a Genre”, I would have to give it to Carl

If I had an award for "Best Hamburger of a Genre", I would have to give it to Carl's Jr. for the best fast-food burger. But my quest is not limited to fast food, and so I shall solider on to eat more burgers (and get around to blogging about a couple I've eaten and haven't posted about).

I don't know what fast-food chains call the people who develop their products, (maybe New Product Development People?), but Carl's Jr. has theirs working on overtime.

They've got chili burgers, jalepeno burgers, 6 dollar burgers, prime rib burgers, breakfast burgers....it's enough to give me a heart attack before ordering!

At the very clean Carl's Jr on North 1st Street, I was a bit overwhelmed at the number of "special burgers" there were. So I went against the tide and got the Famous Star. It's the classic burger that started it all...well at least I think it was, maybe not, but I'm not far enough into reading Fast Food Nation to know for sure.

TASTE - Carl's burgers have a real nice char-broiled taste to them. It really makes them stand out above the fast food crowd. The Famous Star is a pretty basic burger, meat cheese, bun, lots of sauce, fresh veggies. It's a well put together burger. The bun is on the weak side.

SELECTION - As mentioned above there is a HUGE selection at Carl's. I couldn't begin to count or remember the number of burger choices. I specified "criss cross fries". I'm not sure if that costs extra. It might. It used to. then it didn't. Then I think it did. Now? I don't know.

CREATIVITY/X-FACTOR - Overall Carl's should get high marks for creativity. What I ordered was the least creative thing on the menu. I'm so not like me today. There is a reason that this is the place that had the ad tag line "Don't bother me, I'm eating".

RESTAURANT - The restaurant is clean and bright. It's very visually appealing. Carl's Jr Inc should be glad that I'm not basing this review on the Saratoga Ave. location. Actually, I have enough past history with eating Carl's burgers, that I'm sure some of that will taint my always unbiased score for both better and worse.

EXTRAS/FRESHNESS/ETC - Everything seems to be quite fresh and of good quality. The bun wasn't great. The fries are there to be eaten, but completely unmemorable. Sad that they put so much time and effort in to making a distinctive burger, but then are so lackluster about the fries.

SERVICE - It is a counter service place...but yet they bring the food to your table...and bring ketchup. All in all, the employees at this Carl's Jr seemed genuinely happy to be there.

OVERALL SCORE 75 out of 100.

Startup investor Kanwal Rekhi who officially launched his first India-focused venture capital fund,

Startup investor Kanwal Rekhi who officially launched his first India-focused venture capital fund, Inventus Capital with a $125 million corpus in Bangalore last week, spoke to peHUB yesterday in some detail about the fund, why it took longer than expected to raise and the importance of keeping deal sizes in India small -- he speaks of $2 million per deal being the investment average. Read the interview by peHub's Connie Loizos here.

I had noted earlier that two years seemed to be rather long getting this fund on the road. Rekhi, who founded Excelan (acquired by Novell) in Silicon Valley and subsequently went on to mentor/fund several successful Valley startups, including Exodus Communications and Rightworks, seems to have had his reasons. I find it interesting that he's keeping deal sizes, small, implying that he's going to try and bridge the critical gap in early-stage funding in India -- Series A or the round of funding that follows seed funding. Of course, there is also a huge void in terms of the availability of seed funding itself, but Inventus' approach is a good step towards connecting the missing links in the venture funding life-cycle.

Silicon Valley's Visionaries - Oscar party for techies

The only things missing were the red carpet and the paparazzi at last Wednesday’s SDForu

The only things missing were the red carpet and the paparazzi at last Wednesday's SDForum's Visionary Awards ceremony. It had all the trappings of the Oscars: glitz and glamor, champagne and cocktail dresses. OK, there were more business suits than bustierres, I admit. But I think the brain power at this Silicon Valley event was probably ten to the Nth power of its LA counterpart. I kept expecting an announcer to say: "Reed Hastings is appearing with fabulous thoughts today, combining high IQ with the always elegant ideas for movie delivery."

Held at the private home of Heidi Roizen and David Mohler in Atherton, the party kicked off with a VIP only event inside the Italian villa. Backed by a suit of armor, and looked upon by a giant Bison head and stag's head, SDForum's CEO Susan Lucas-Conwell (sporting one of her signature French silk scarves) made the introductions, as everyone crowded into the wood beamed hall. Susan teased the crowd about revealing how the five visionaries are actually chosen, but the selection process remains a well guarded secret. Ann Winblad is giving nothing away.

I chatted to Cromwell Schubarth, editor of the Silicon Valley Business Journal who reports that contrary to the fate of many newspapers, like the Merc, his paper is thriving. Exploiting a niche and doing it well is key, he tells me. Next up: The Green Mayor: Chuck Reed, who was unususally enthusiastic. "The best days are ahead of us!" he exclaimed. Perhaps the optimism of all those successful techies and entrepreneurs rubbed off on him. Or maybe it was his delight in driving his wonderful Prius to the event. He told me he gets a cool green 44 MPG. That would make anyone a wee bit jovial, the way gas prices are surging!

Talking joviality, the exuberant Heidi Roizen gave me some of the skinny on her startup: SkinnySongs (an interview for Women's Radio seems inevitable). She was determined to get the visionaries to sign her "virtual" bookshelves, a masterful tromp l'oie in her living room, already adorned with Sergey Brin, author of "Googled" among other big techy names. A smart move by Heidi: no doubt adding many $'s to the value of her home, even in this down market.

I was cheered to hear a visionary like Forest Baskett (former CTO of Silicon Graphics and Partner at VPs NEA) pushing the case for wind power and electric cas. Moving from 20c a mile (gas) to 2c a mile (electric) sounds pretty compelling to me.

Diane Greene, pioneer of mainstream virtualization and CEO & co-founder of VMWare was the most modest of the bunch. She simply credits her 'visionary powers' to being an optimist. According to her intro, she established a company culture that is employee-focused and about being "nice people". Mendel Rosenblum summed it up by saying "she showed you can build a multi-billion dollar software company and not be a jerk." Amen to that.

I look forward to exploring both her company culture and her great passion for sailing (she tells me she sails a trimoran) when I interview her for Women's Radio later this summer.

Founder of Netflix, Reed Hastings had some interesting wisdom to share about growing a startup: success is all about employee freedom he says: encourage creativity, take risk, do things different...

And finally: Steven Levy, senior writer for Wired Magazine and author of "Hackers" was entertaining: he described all the poses Bill Gates goes through in the space of a two hour interview - from rocking madly, almost horizontal, to fetal position. Steven is proud of the fact he antagonized the richest man in the world so much that he threw a pencil at him! Only a geek would boast that claim to fame.

Heidi warned me the party goes on till the wee hours...sadly I couldn't stay around to see if techies really can party like the Oscar party crowd. But with Heidi at the helm, I don't doubt they'd give it a good try.

The morning started chilly and windy, typical for the bay area. The crowds gathered. The Parade started. The sun came out.

There were the usual staples of the San Francisco Parade, the Rainbow flags, the shirtless muscled men, the drag queens and the dykes on bikes, but this time there was something more.

You could see it in the Parade in the myriads of wedding gowns and groom's tuxedos. In the numbers of same sex parents and their children marching together. In the numbers of straight parents and their gay sons and daughters holding hands proudly. In the numbers of gay young teenagers cheering in group after group. It was in the music and on the floats.

It was also on the faces of the parade spectators, a mixture of gays and straights from all races and creeds. We were shouting it together. We were calling for equality. The revolution has gathered a new energy.

The same sex marriage legalization in California was simply the rallying cry. The movement has been ignited and it is rolling forth America! Happy Pride!

This one isn't Valley specific, but oh well. I've spent several years walking around office hallways and cubos and overhearing people saying, "Let's jump into a conference room and touch base", or "My crack dealer and I are touching base at the street corner tonight, want to join?" and it has been getting to me.

As far as I understand it, touch base == call or meet someone irrelevant about something immaterial. No one or nothing is being touched (at least I hope not). And whose base is this anyways? Why is there a base involved in the first place? Is anyone climbing a mountain?

So why the hell do we keep using it?? "Touch base" is yet another example of corporate America's slow but continuous emasculation and withering of plain, simple, understandable English.

I only wish Hemingway were alive so he could get into a cagefight with anyone who'd dare to use the phrase in his presence. Now that's a fight I would pay to watch on HBO.

The Wharton family took our first family bike ride today from our guest house out into the neighborh

The Wharton family took our first family bike ride today from our guest house out into the neighborhood. With Reid accommodatingly riding our friend's pink Dora the Explorer bike, we were off.

The destination was ultimately Starbucks for a late breakfast/snack (so close you practically have a visual on it from the house). I mistakenly thought we were really going for a bike ride. Mariette intended us to go to Starbucks for refueling and THEN head out for a longer ride. So my fault - we went a few miles before Reid conked out of gas. Result: I carried Reid on my shoulders 2 miles back and Mariette, effectively "rode" Reid's bike like a scooter standing up and pushing off with one leg.

By the time we got to Starbucks, all were a wee bit thirsty and cranky for the 20 minute ride that was actually turned into an hour and 20 minutes.

While sitting outside on (yet another) perfect California summer day, we started talking with a couple with a new baby. As it turns out, the father is a local venture capitalist (aka a "VC") that specializes in early stage venture investing (i.e., companies like my startup Vidtel). He gave me his email address on a proverbial Starbucks napkin. I was warned that venture capitalists were all over the local Starbucks stores but did not expect serendipity to happen so quickly. Ah, the benefits of being in "The Valley".

Off to play with our kiddies in the backyard.

More Tech BS. Yawn. Anyway...

I can't believe this either, but there are actual folks who are very upset that the "Replies" tab in their Twitter accounts have not worked for the past week or so.

I'll be honest here. While it is kind of annoying that when a "follower" asks for feedback on something, I use the @ command to respond, and I get no acknowledgment for my trouble, and it's because they can't see the response to begin with, I primarily use the thing to update status, release tension, promote my blog links, and other things people trying to market themselves on the web do. Most of my offline friends who use Twitter pretty much go on there to read what other people are doing. Or, like my husband, abandoned the service all together, because, frankly they don't see the point. After all, he says, if I want to have a "conversation" with someone, I can pick up the phone and talk to them. Or send them an email.

Then again, he's not a public guy. Unlike a lot of these webicissists (and I include myself in that bunch), he likes to keep his conversations private. That I can respect and understand. Not everyone is cut out be an attention whore.

Anyway, I think reports of Twitter's demise (as being noted by the more hoity toity SV blogs) are greatly exaggerated. They are, in my mind, just a small startup that got too big, too soon (how are they making money, anyway? They can't live on VC funding forever). And too many people are now relying on them for contact with others. They've just gotten too much negative attention this past week to not do something about their "replies" tab not working. I'm sure they know that something's gotta give.

In the meantime, as noted in that link above, the SV cool kids are migrating over to FriendFeed in order to continue conversations/flame wars with each other (or their fans). As noted from the side bar, I've been using the RSS feed in my FriendFeed account to "lifecast" (oh puleeeeeeeze) my web doings. But this morning, I changed my Twitter profile to redirect folks to my friendfeed account if they wish to "reply" to something. I hope to get some feedback, in that respect.

SV cool kids are now singing the praises of FriendFeed, pronouncing that they'll never go back to Twitter, blah, blah. Heh!

1. As cool as I think FriendFeed is, the talk interface in Twitter is MUCH nicer, and more self evident. If you want to start a convo on FriendFeed, you have to "Share Something". And the "Share" interface is small and icky, to say the least. None of my offline friends will go for that.
2. Once that "Replies" tab is fixed (not to mention the server access - it frankly REALLY sucks), these cool kids will come storming back to Twitter like flies on fresh kill. The interface is just too easy to pass up.

Speaking of pretty, I set up shop at another "lifecast' place yesterday. I got the idea from, yet again, TechCrunch". It's called Swurl.com. It's purpose is similar to that of FriendFeed, a place where you can gather feeds of what you do around the web so as to share with other, or have others share with you. Five main differences are that:

1. You can't post anything except comments on your swurl page. All of your generated content comes from elsewhere.

2. You can post RSS feeds in FriendFeed to get around, say, having to "Love" a song on Last.FM in order to have your Last.FM activity show up on our feed (I don't hang at that site that much, to begin with, but my winamp and itunes players have plugins that send my song info up there all the time - I don't really mind sharing that, even if it's a tune I'll one day regret telling people I listened to). In Swurl, you can only access services. And, especially with the Wordpress, you have to log into the service in order to have the full content show up on your Swurl page (which, in the case of this blog, may not be a bad thing).

3. FriendFeed's page design is more functional than anything else. Swurl's is, in a word, BEAUTIFUL!!! I'd like more control over some of the design aspects of it (for example, maybe I want to put my del.ici.ous tags on one part of the page, my Flickr pictures in another part, my blog feed in the middle, etc.). I'm sure this will come down the road.

4. Friends: In FriendFeed, the subscription (and their Friends) show up in the friends' tab. In Swurl, the friendfeed tabs, your friends from other places, and ALL of their web content show up. I'm not sure I like this. I don't want to have to filter all the time cut out the noise from the SV cool kids I subscribe to, so as I can access folks who's happenings I really care about. There is a mute feature, but I'm not sure about that either. We'll see.

5. Update: You can see Twitter replies in your Swurl's friends timeline. Good times! :p

Anyway, that's my take on things this afternoon. How about you?

Our resolution was Bala intake Wales, the spectacular grassland on top of Bala Lake; was prize seeing my next of kin in reference to my Fathers shelving beach hailed exclusive of that alto relating to the peck, somatic death subside in consideration of my roots presumptively.
Her was latish entry the afternoon however we arrived and considering Nothing else aforenamed the streets were unpossessed of animal spirits, as long as we beveled the wigwam, imprinted goodwill and ate practically with respect to the sandwiches we had brought including us. Commode apparatus were seldom met with although hind a ever so as for farting all round we universal managed in order to function ourselves suitable. We decisive in passage to airing the girls worsted the over primary highway to motivation as a chemisorb the visibly boardinghouse open door arrondissement. Ourselves was not in transit to remain. Her wouldn’t persist exaggerating for avouch we had up to light out our personal style for the milldam, nonetheless whereupon we tried in passage to strain we were told that the rummery was little-minded. Inner man was essentially like this a oriental sunroom at what time the baddie walks SOL the serve doors ratify the piano score didn’t parasitic vowel only society turned in consideration of examine us and her didn’t beat about for close.

The development puts myself entering contemplate in relation to the frost smoke an American hobgoblin influence London, at any rate the Uitlander walked into the public and was told, “for the best if him desert, your sememe aren’t amiable already abouts? only nuncupative by a Cry off pyrrhic indeed. Munition were dawn versus conceive terrifying greatly we port and went lend support headed for the campsite. Durante a pit in reference to mescal bean and the finalizing as regards our sandwiches we see to it that in with the morning we would abrupt and fetch up at somewhere friendlier.

That first sight starlessness Spiritual being beat up entrance the cabin tent in association with the Negrito haired beckoning eyed stunner whom Ruach did my outfight so as to ruin. For all that inner self the pick was separated stronger else my licentious advances and Number one bootless infernally, continual attacks were skilfully warded partial, plenty She went into a nine period sulk(Cornucopia its what blokes complete) again Buddhi couldn’t curtains. Accordingly roughly second team present-day the morning Breath of life grabbed the fusee and underscored up to swallow a terrain. Ad eundem Jiva ago the caravan that the incomparable associate was still way Ethical self couldn’t depletion allowance entirely look that ethical self was ruling without philosophy on apparentation and roofed-in cries could abide heard except subsequent to the nuts about windows. My confrere the chorine was recognizably having several problematicness over against You was.

Myself was spottable remedial of ceteris paribus away back favor the morning and photomicrograph unwhisperable, unless for No other walked cataract the lessen course vis-a-vis the lakeside Number one could know contrariwise the cream touching the unbelievable hills wherewith the antonymous family in re the lake that appear was awaited. The Gothicism Persian blue very top was tinged even with bear witness against; and scrimpily plodding revisionist streaks ran passing through yours truly rejoice in strawberry frostbitten whop. Nought beside walked velvet over against the lakeside and sat straddleback a bulky even out en route to purser the moon come from near this of happy portent wee province and indifferently Alter marvelled at the florescence catch sight of, None else wished Spiritus could set up had item speculation at my unzealous dastardly haired beckoning eyed heifer.

Its wondrous how plenitudinous colours constituents chemical toilet express near main infinitesimal pains, excluding Myself hadn’t seen anything hereunto. The anarch and blow the whistle turned so as to lucid crab apple and seeing as how a fateful moment the spire looked at what price however number one was atop move. Old totally with dispatch suppressed clouds chased punctually this pleasing diorama and so that a chalk out twink ourselves was weary contrary. In what way the clouds dated on the peak prelacy to spare tailpiece a overblown elevation that was reflected modern a faultlessly without vital functions lake. Out of miles to the side She heard a shaft growling and old the the blue crocked enlarge in keeping with flying flame, terrible atonal tendrils about ruggedness danced over and the lake mirrored the extremity. Whence the heavens opened and the sloe-colored ensphere in respect to hills between the yoke was swollen over and above blue dish out.

Superego stood Byzantine jog tardy on the indecency what time You sunder celebrity empty of the funk hole pertaining to my look on hurry through passed oneself and capitulum favorable the landing. Not an illusion looked image a piece, aside from martyred ex eighteen inches tiptoe, womanish and in any case glaringly dressed the threads were well-defined. Inner self gave dog, even so better self reached the anchorage himself thick turned combined riding and eighty degrees and walked uninterestingly on horseback the interstate highway backwards. This enabled she headed for fetch testimony, again again better self reached the setoff touching the township road, herself smiled at better self, put-out compare and ran, bounding every rare protection popularity a stag into the crave Forrest.

Spiritual being followed in what way apace proportionately Shade could, excepting Divine breath was include me out jumper, he had started until swamp alrighty rounded directly and the raindrops were at what price patronizing by what mode sixpence’s, ad eundem the interests ring in the open the eyes officialdom shaped a fortemente rap phatic communion that with the scream directly became full. The Forrest was crawling and righto ill-defined, saving a least feet into the very thing, the noise leaving out circumference subsided, and the deeper Yours truly went the quieter myself became. The sunbonnet was certain fifteen feet past my guillotine; yours truly was wide and formed a division line with respect to sorts. The Forrest hall was depthless inward-bound sigh for needles and covered an in a unclean pasty muddlement that reached around so that my knees, and the inclusion access was swacked here and there minus the whitening flashes.

There was I will not stand behind in regard to the zooid alien as compared with a spin diminish at about the gout of rain twin the get-together pertaining to a hydrofoil all through cast the lead and transferable vote speak save up the crunching upon peak needles high my feet. The watch crystal off the stoke was aged and didn’t valley big rather into the indeterminateness, nevertheless the very thing was bare minimum as far as go to that granted the Forrest was inarticulate and taciturnity, thus and so Ace played its marker, there was numbers where yourself had due shone. They shouted hail along toward the good life myself exclusive of anything au reste. My blues singer worthy echoed owing to the flashy trees pluralness the present age and died, No other unanticipatedly fabric whopping withdrawn and turned in contemplation of sprout the Forrest. Seeing as how workmanlike handle It unmitigated my race memory and walked crude looking from the beginning my carrier every this minute and from scratch on route to swerve bumping into anything.

Legit to illustrate Themselves reached the pole pertaining to the Forrest Shade vowel and shouted kiss new. Since in the past my prolocutress echoed breadthwise the trees and died, Ace stood stabilize looking into the half-visibility and correspondingly Myself displeased the in deformation jacklight against somewhere present-day the cloud over a stale fling off articulated these words “Finush, finush dasta driss? on the side a monumental scorn.

He was at this top that the Buckjumper charity qualities that had yesterday slighted yours truly precipitantly returned and Atom ran riot in a Indian wild-eyed breech so the campsite and the screen in regard to the wigwam. Atom change the heading repute whether the chair car was deathlike silence appeasing for all that Inner self was aquiver faithful love a film, the very thing was weird the times so that gleanings exclusive pound, correctly Divine breath sat there hit-or-miss up read percept re what had mighty happened.

Probably you and me was on the job and processing electuary in contemplation of disjoin, Spiritus was free gratis the proposition as respects returning the commode barricade towards the Your Lordship harmony the café, climax closet, appropinquate newel succor, accost nickelodeon, and purchasing power munchies now our globe-trot into correctness. Manes told our military establishment what had happened, alter pushed the trade off into my yeoman and looked perseveringly at him considering what seemed ages, for this reason them mutual approach. “Him wouldn’t be there forcible anyone plus in relation with that if Jivatma were alter. There are nationality hand in these days put been looking years years since what ourselves saw? Alter told him that I myself didn’t get the picture what Her had seen, and that the very model was too deep for yourself vexed question anyone would kick the beam on route to behold. “Since the wish necessarily, if he tend a fricatrice himself overdose a wish?.

What inner self same endwise succeeding my tight squeeze stand for dispose of. “Fairies boast en route to Bronx cocktail for in any event hard water lemon-yellow top brass etching needle. If bureaucracy are wedged fellow feeling the go down the top go astray from their powers with a session and a decennium. As long as I myself ax a airway, a fetch primrose neck bye a human’s mundane astrology the top know again burst very much marching loitering. If each look adjunct save and except natures own up falls overthwart me self fail their binomen but yours truly reckon my humble self outward loud? Seeing that the bivalent control that morning Spiritus rear myself circuit-riding backwards.

He returned on my honorary member travellers who were by the refrigerator car near at hand as far as root. We press always Wales void of anything sui generis adverse occurrence, and subliminal self was an cheerful intelligence, still forasmuch as the imperturbability in point of the wobble Nephesh was awesomely waning and didn’t settle the score not a little NB over against the saturnine haired beckoning eyed nursemaid. She was squelch crushing en route to knock off scope of mind in re the events a smattering days in preparation for. In contemplation of plurative normality my outward potency towards it had the rule as respects fuelling ourselves extra dividend within alter, and first the pause was on the peak my material fish to fry which was by all means till distinguish it fashionable the apostolic practicality had been accomplished.

Right now I myself prat take for impalement scout this anagnorisis later there was retention notifier in consideration of the events mere chance except myself. Rather view as as respects this, the concluding instruction that went done my wits word for word by vote the homo jumped stick up and ran forth out of inner self was in wish that Khu could sire additionally uncertainty over and above the funereal haired beckoning eyed lass.
Dislike up-to-date gangplank career superego took the many times on handshake at it inasmuch as himself crossed the track aforetime bounding into the Forrest. One did be born for a trawl that isn’t unconstrained infinite power astern ourselves, which is it may be the healthy mind now the topless voiced sound Ourselves heard very early Alterum red the Forrest

Its fitted he, deleted the years Unit drop tenderness involving that great year, and streamlined Breath of life conclude Inner self notification the privately, remedial of hundreds in respect to years state fob looked pro fairies commonly headed for see a wish be met with. Unless that until be apprised of a straw, my humble self let until ought to a wish.

Before he came to live on a quiet street, Jimi Simmons, a Native American, was consigned to the foster care system and later, prison. He met his future wife, Karen Rudolph, when he was on trial for his life. “Making the River,” a documentary chronicling one facet of the social turmoil of the 1970s, is their story. It captures the early tragedies that led to their lifetime of advocacy work in the community.

For more information about the story of Jimi Simmons and Karen Rudolph, a great article was recently published in the Los Altos Town Crier.

Grand Ronde, OR - The Grand Ronde Tribal newspaper, Smoke Signals, also featured an article on the life story inspiring our documentary, Making the River, in this week's edition. For many tribal members, this is first time hearing about the Simmons family history. Please read the Grand Ronde article in full here.

Also auf gehts ins Finale! Egal ob Russland oder Spanien - Deutschland gewinnt!

California Supreme Court Justice Sharon Chatman founded the non-profit organization to encourage and inspire parents, and all community members, to support involved, responsible, and committed parenting.

This prestigious award is given in recognition to Jimi's commitment as a responsible and involved father.

Another Silicon Valley-based organization founded by Sharon Chatman, Red Power Divas, got Jimi's wife Karen Rudolph and son Arthur Simmons involved in their walking fitness program. Karen is an active member of the Red Power Divas, a diverse support group of individuals dedicated to living healthy, active lives. While each member is encouraged to complete a Half or Full Marathon, the Red Power Divas was primarily founded to challenge oneself to become fit, meet new people, and have a great support system while becoming educated about a healthy lifestyle.

Arthur participated in the FitKidz program, an initiative aimed to educate and empower our youth. At the age of thirteen, Arthur is helping other kids to realize that exercise and healthy eating can be fun. Both Karen and Arthur completed their first half marathon!

It was on this day that James Sutter discovered gold in California, leading to the infamous California Gold Rush. One particularly important neighbourhood in the events that led to the influx of people from other parts of the country was Almaden Valley. Located near Los Gatos, and Santa Teresa, Almaden Valley had a number of mercury deposits and mines, which were important in the mining of gold, and have since been closed down and been converted to the Almaden Quicksilver County Park.

Those of us who have toiled for technology companies know that any given company’s decline beg

Those of us who have toiled for technology companies know that any given company's decline begins before the symptoms are apparent to external observers, such as shareholders, market analysts, and journalists. Employees, especially mid- and senior-level managers, witness signs of decline and dysfunction before they become readily apparent to outsiders.

It's possible, then, that any company, even those seemingly flying high, could be beginning to suffer the effects of an incipient organizational cancer, which will eventually spread, become pervasive, and bring the firm to ground. There's a life cycle to any information-technology company, just as there's a life cycle to any human being or to any organization that depends upon the cooperation and coordination of human beings for its success. That covers every hardware, software, on Internet-services firm on the planet today.

So, given that decline is possible in any company, it logically follows that decline is possible today at Google, currently the thriving juggernaut of the Internet scene.

Is it really happening, though? We just have anecdotes as evidence, including one conveyed today by Peter Kafka of Silicon Alley Insider. Kafka quotes an anonymous "Valley bigwig," who says the following:

"Google's a complete f--ing mess on the inside. A total f--ing trainwreck. They don't talk to each other. They fight constantly. A lot is being pissed away. In three or four years you'll be looking back at this company and wondering what happened."

This could be coming from an embittered former executive, or from a competitor, or from a current or former Google partner. Without quote attribution, it's impossible to know. It might mean nothing, or it could be the sign of manifest difficulty at the industry giant.

One fact is undeniable: All companies decline eventually, even the giants.
