Being a child of the 80's, it's probably partly reasons of nostalgia that make me love this tune by New Zealand singer, Ladyhawke, not to be confused with Vancouver rock band, Ladyhawk. 'Back of the Van' is the kind of song you can imagine having a video featuring clips of a Brat Pack movie. Instead, the video is full of 80's space effects and Ladyhawke doing her best Stevie Nicks impersonations. Which works just as well. I was alerted to Ladyhawke when I heard her Paris is Burning tune (which is extremely excellent and can be listened to below).  Her Myspace is well worth checking out cos all the songs are deadly and you'll find a link there to download a Van She remix of 'Back of The Van' for free.
