The words "good" and "evil" ascribed to the law of YHWH here are translated from the same two Hebrew words "towb" and "ra" used in Genesis 2 and 3 regarding the tree of knowledge of good and evil. So since the tree is about the knowledge of YHWH’s law, by calling it what you have, would not that be evil in the eyes of Yahweh? I would think so.

Recently while on another subject I stumbled upon Westley Swift. I read a paper that was really good and revealing. I told someone I trust about it and he told me to be careful. I asked why and he explained that although there are lots of truths to Mr Swift's sermons that he is a seedliner and that isn't biblical. I thought to myself, What is a seedliner? Someone who believes there are two races of people, those of Adam and those of a demon god serpent. Okay this freaked me out. I never heard of it before. So what do I do? I dove in head first.

What I found really disturbed me. People actually believe that Cain is the son of satan and that Eve had sex with THE devil and that his bloodline still exists today. What? Wasn't there a flood that erased all evil INCLUDING CAIN'S DESCENDANTS? So here is what I learned for this theory to be true would also mean the following details......

1. Since Yahweh according to scripture was ready to receive Cain if he only gave the correct sacrifice then Yahweh was willing to embrace the hybrid son of satan.
2. Eve ate of "whatever" and then so did Adam. Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Doesn't that make Adam a homosexual? He did after all eat of what Eve did and if it was sex with satan then Adam had sex with satan too.
3. The flood only was local and when the bible says...Gen 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. This has to be because for the theory to be true, Cain's line survived. Therefore making the bible to be untrue.

Just these three alone should be enough to see that this is a very bad belief to think. To me it is degrading to even claim to know Yahweh if you believe in such trash theory. Revelations tell us that those the Messiah called vipers and sons of the devil were in fact the evil ones but they are MAN.

Serpent S120 in brief

The S120 chassis consists of 2 main elements, the 2.5mm thick carbon fibre chassis plate and the rear single piece aluminium motor pod. The chassis uses a T-bar system, which has adjustable tension thanks to its unique tweaking system is damped using a conventional centrally mounted shock absorber together with a laterally mounted floating monoshock. The front end of the car is completely adjustable and utilises the now standard fixed lower suspension arms combined with active top wishbones, which together with kingpin mounted springs ensure that the car is able to corner at high speeds and soak up any small bumps found on the racing surface.

S120 Front End

The front end of the car features 11 different adjustments to help you get the most from your car, all of which are easy to adjust and measure. Fixed lower suspension arms are themselves damped by the central strut which uses rubber o-rings to take up the flex in this area, while the grey anodised aluminium front upper wishbone mounts are available in different caster angles, the car being supplied with 6 degree versions as standard. With the steering block king pins spring loaded, the cornering forces are channelled through the upper wishbone, which enable the car to corner at high speeds.

Rear Motor Pod

One of the most unique features of the S120 is the rear motor pod, which has been machined from a single block of high quality aluminium. This, combined with the design of the pod, ensure that its perfectly aligned and extremely stiff, meaning that all cornering forces are absorbed by the cars 2 shock absorbers. This motor pod is also extremely strong and is therefore resistant to crash damage and tweaking that can come from a heavy impact. It has also been designed to accept all of today's brushless motors, with enough space to mount the sensor and power cables.

Tweak Station

To help tweak the car, as well as adjust the tension on the rear pod, the S120 features a tweak station that allows simple tweak adjustment through the use of grub screws that have been set in spring steel blades. This system allows you to not only tweak the car but gives the racer to ability to adjust the flex tension. Offering a wide range of settings, they can be easily adjusted on the track through a single screw that is accessed through a slot in the bottom of the chassis plate. The front of the tweak station also doubles up as a mount for the supplied carbon antenna rod.

Monoshock

Another very unique feature of the S120 is its laterally mounted floating monoshock which dampens the flex between the chassis and the motor pod. Mounted using ball joints from the top of the rear motor pod, both ends of the shock shaft are attached to the top of the rear carbon body mount plate on the chassis, and thanks to its design even the smallest of movements between the front and rear of the car is easily absorbed. This system plays a big part in how the car turns into a corner which can be adjusted through the use of different oils and shock pistons.

Central shock absorber

To aid rear traction under acceleration and to absorb bumps, the S120 sports a centrally mounted shock absorber. Supplied with a soft blue spring, the pre load of which can be adjusted, the front mount of this shock absorber is used for adjusting the rear down stop and range of movement between the chassis and motor pod.

Rear ball differential

The S120 comes supplied with a durable and high performance ball differential. Easily adjusted by a plastic nut, accessible through the right rear wheel, the diff uses high quality steel balls and plates and is supplied with both suitable silicone and graphite grease for use during assembly and maintenance.

Rear axle mounts

The lightweight graphite rear axle is mounted on bearings that sit within eccentric composite inserts that allows the user to ability to quickly and easily change the rear ride height of the car simply by changing between inserts. The kit comes supplied with all 9 inserts which range between 0 and 4mm, each differing by 0.5mm and all are reversible for an even wider range of adjustment.

Servo saver

The S120 comes supplied with a high quality miniature servo saver, which through the use of orange anodised shims, has adjustable Ackerman. Further to the servo saver, the car comes with aluminium servo mounting posts that feature an offset mounting hole in the base giving them a greater range to accept a wide variety of servos.

Battery mounts

On the S120, the cells can be mounted in 2 different positions by simply changing the composite battery insert mounting position. Attaching it to the front or rear of the slot means the cells can move by 4mm, perfect for adjusting the cars weight distribution.

Body posts

For securely mounting the body shell to your S120, the car has strong plastic body posts front and rear. All 4 posts are supplied with orange anodised adjustable collars to precisely adjust the body's height and the posts are supplied extra long to allow the user to cut them to their own preferred length. The front body posts have also been designed to help protect the front of the carbon chassis from splitting in the event of a heavy front impact.

Packaging & Manual

The S120 is sold in a very compact matt black box that follows the same design cues as that from the S400 and which can fit the built S120 (minus wheels). To allow you to build your car with the greatest of ease, Serpent supplies a full colour instruction manual and integrated reference guide section that contains all the exploded views and latest options. Here's the Thirteenth Hoax which is a Mesopotamian cylinder depicting what Woetzel claims to be sauropod dinosaurs shown in comparison with an artist's modern conception of an Apatosaurus. In Woetzel's blind eyes, "There are many striking similarities between these two depictions." Except that the animals in the cylinder are not in fact sauropods, but Serpopards, feline animals of Egyptian Mythology that is a cross between a serpent (snake) and a leopard (or more accurately a lioness). They may look like sauropod dinosaurs but look closely and you'll see they are in fact not. Serpopards have feline-type bodies, ears, legs, feet, tail, and are shown to have long swan-like necks entwining each other in complete contrast to sauropod necks which are a lot like giraffe necks. They're less flexible and can't coil the way Serpopards on the cylinder can. Even the birds is shown to have a feline-type heads, too. The feline ears, in which Woetzel stupidly claims to be stylized or accurate on a sauropod, are found in reality to be non-existent on any sauropod (let alone any other dinosaur) which has, instead, small openings on each side of the head right near the jaw. These openings serve as the actual ear. The leg posture shown on the Serpopards look more cat-like in contrast to sauropod legs that are more elephant-like. The Serpopard bodies are also in great contrast to sauropod bodies in which the sauropod body is more round and elephant-like while the Serpopards have flat, feline-like bodies. And the tail of the Serpopards are long, skinny, and ends in a bulge while the sauropods have incredible, long whiplash tails that end in a point. Therefore, upon final analysis, we find that the Serpopards on the cylinder with their feline-style legs, feet, body tail, heads, and especially ears do not fit sauropods in any stylized or accurate form. Thus, it is totally stupid to regard such comparisons as accurate with "stunning realism" while none of the details clearly match up with one another.

At the end of the paragraph, Woetzel stupidly asks, "One has to ask where the artist got the model to draw so convincingly the trunk of a saurapod?" Uh don't you mean "sauropod" Woetzel? And don't you get it in your head that there's no evidence for trunks on a sauropod? The artist didn't use a doggone thing to draw such fantasy animals. He just made them up out of modern animal composites based on observations of modern animals like the snake, the lion, and leopard. Modern animals and humans are all the models the ancient artisans ever needed to create and composite such fantastic animals and monsters that only exist in mythology.

In Woetzel's own little world, any mythical animal is a dinosaur regardless of how wrong and inaccurate the images are in direct comparison with all modern conceptions of dinosaurs based on fossil evidence and modern studies of their bone structure. Creationists would foolishly take an image of a mythical animal and make such faulty comparisons with dinosaurs in hopes of getting a match that's not really there. All conceptions of dinosaurs are drawn by those who saw dinosaur images in science books, comics, movies depicting Hollywood caricatures of dinosaurs, and actual skeletons of dinosaurs in museums whether in person or in a photo. A mythical animal on the other hand are simply imaginary animals that are composited based on only observations of modern animals that represent deities respectfully. It's done to enhance one's religious beliefs and make the stories much more entertaining. Serpopards are such animals that only exist in Egyptian and Mesopotamian myths. These are inspired by the Egyptians who composite them from modern animals, like the lion and the snake, in honor of deities each modern animal represent. Except birds, dinosaurs are not among the animals the ancients observed and feature in their mythology.

The fourteenth hoax is an Egyptian seal claimed to belong to Tuthmosis III (misspelled as Tutmosis III) which is false. The actual cartouche of Thutmoses III is this. The seal Woetzel shows actually depicts a Nile crocodile, yet Woetzel stupidly insists it's a [sic] "Sauropterygia-like animal (type of plesiosaur)." out of ignorance of the crocodile having only scutes, sprawling legs, and webbed feet while all members of Sauropterygia have paddle-like flippers and completely lack scutes on their bodies.

The 15^th - 18^th hoaxes shows artifacts that depict winged snakes wrongly regarded as "dinosaur representations." Heck. None of what is shown on the page are "dinosaur representations." Just because these animals look scary and reptilian doesn't mean they're dinosaurs and/or representations of them for they clearly show features and characteristics dinosaurs don't in fact have such as a limbless body for example. These artifacts only show winged snakes Woetzel stupidly regards as "dinosaurian representations" despite the fact they have no limbs and are just snakes with bird wings. These winged serpents are not "dinosaurian representatives" but representations of the Egyptian goddess Wadjet who, in form of a winged snake, with a circle on her head representing the sun, guards and protects the Egyptian kings from their enemies.

Next, 19^th - 24^th hoaxes, also not exactly hoaxes, shows Egyptian palates, a cartouche, and a wand depicting Serpopards again. Serpopards that Woetzel insists idiotically to be nothing more than an Egyptian's attempt to depict a dinosaur.

"The preponderance of these long-necked depictions in ancient art (note also the Egyptian wand depiction) motivated archaeologists who do not believe men and dinosaurs coexisted to invent a name for this particular creature. It is called a "serpopard," supposedly a mosaic of a serpent and a leopard. But for those who believe that man was created in the beginning alongside the great reptiles, these palettes seem to be an attempt to depict a sauropod dinosaur."

An excellent gem coming from a creationist who would rather engage in blind foolish ignorance and not have a single clue to what a dinosaur really looks like based on fossil evidence and studies of their bone structure than face reality. In Woetzel's blinded eyes, if it looks like a sauropod dinosaur, it must be a sauropod dinosaur, never mind it being just a big cat with a long neck and sometimes seen with spots like a giraffe which is another composite of the Serpopard. Even when one blindly believes that man was created alongside "the great reptiles," it's still wrong and foolish to regard the Serpopard as a sauropod dinosaur and ignore all of its clear features of it being just a big cat.

These long necked big cats are proof that Egyptians, especially Pre-dynastic Egyptians, can create fantastic animals just like any other race just by composing modern animals and humans into amalgamated monsters that captivate the people the same way people are captivated by unicorns and mermaids today.

The 25^th hoax depicts two sea monsters on a Roman Mosaic which Paul Taylor, the author of The Great Dinosaur Mystery and the [sic] Bible, "likens to a the web-footed Tanystropheus" shown alongside of the hoax. Problem with this claim is that the two monsters are shown to have just two limbs, horse-like heads with pointed ears and a nose horn, and fish-like tails the image seems to cover up. In part 3 of my Great Dinosaur Mystery essay, I debunked this claim by saying that these mythical chimera-type creatures were inspired by discoveries of fossil remains of Synthetoceras, a prehistoric deer from the Miocene Epoch that had antlers in its forehead and the nostril area just like the monsters seen on the mosaic. Tanystropheus does not have such features the two monsters have, but instead have only 4 limbs and a very stiffen neck. Thus, making it a wrongful kind of liking to take in blindly regarding these 2 strange long-necked hippocamps as Tanystropheus

Next comes the 26^th hoax which is another not-exactly-a-hoax relic know as The Nile Mosaic of Palestrina which, in one part, depicts a beast being attacked by hunters. Next to the creature is the Latin name, "Krokodilopardalis," (also spelled as "Crocodilopardalis") the "crocodile leopard," which is the name of the creature being hunted in the picture. This crocodile-like beast is falsely regarded as a dinosaur out of ignorance of it looking absolutely nothing like any dinosaur known. It may probably have been a mythical animal composite from various modern animals living along the Nile.

Now comes the 27^th hoax which tells a story about a discovery of a peculiar bird with reptilian characteristics discovered in Totonacapan, in northeastern section of Veracruz, Mexico.

"An ancient Mayan relief sculpture of a peculiar bird with reptilian characteristics has been discovered in Totonacapan, in northeastern section of Veracruz, Mexico. José Diaz-Bolio, a Mexican archaeologist-journalist responsible for the discovery, says there is evidence that the serpent-bird sculpture, located in the ruins of Tajín, is not merely the product of Mayan flights of fancy, but a realistic representation of an animal that lived during the period of the ancient Mayans - 1,000 to 5,000 years ago. If indeed such serpent-birds were contemporary with the ancient Mayan culture, the relief sculpture represents a startling evolutionary oddity. Animals with such characteristics are believed to have disappeared 130 million years ago." (Anonymous, "Serpent-Bird of the Mayans," Science Digest, vol. 64 November 1968, p. 1)

Don't count on the carving to be an Archaeopteryx, pterosaur, or any Mesozoic animal. For this carving, discovered by Jose Diaz-Bolio, an archaeologist who invented a theory on how the Mayans use the rattlesnake to shape their beliefs and culture, could possibly be that of Quetzalcoatl, "The Feathered Serpent of Ancient Mexico", a well known Mexican deity who is depicted as a limbless serpentine dragon cloaked in feathers of a quetzal, a well known bird native to the Mexican region. He is seen sometimes in his human incarnate form cloaked elaborately in quetzal feathers and is said to have been banished from his land by a rival deity named Tezcaltlipoca, who was his enemy who usurped him after fighting with him over world leadership prior to creating it altogether. As Quetzalcoatl sailed away on a raft made of snakes, he made a promise to his people that he will someday return to reclaim his world he lost to Tezcaltlipoca and rule over his people once more.

The 28^th hoax depicts an alleged sauropod petroglyph located underneath a rock bridge in Utah in which Woetzel claims that even evolutionists have acknowledged this as a sauropod despite the fact that this is the result of creationists distorting the rock art depicting an amalgamated monster that looks nothing like a sauropod, not even a "brontosaurus," to make it as if it is a sauropod while it's not. The 29^th hoax depicts a strange bird-like monster in found in an old vintage book entitled Strange Prehistoric Animals and Their Stories by A. Hyatt Verrill who, in one part of the book, tells about a discovery he made while exploring the ruins of an ancient temple in Panama where the Cocle', an ancient Central American civilization, once flourished in from 1330 to 1520 AD. What he found were pottery decorated with bird-like images of what he believes to be "realistic" depictions of ‘pterodactyls' creationists would like to make believe they were based on seeing live pterosaurs at one time in consistent with the other 2 alleged sightings they mentioned in the article. But that's not what Verrill wrote about in his book. When put in full context, we find that Verrill was only describing these drawings and concludes that these creatures were made based on early sightings of just pterosaur fossils, not live pterosaurs. However, according to Mayor (pg. 97-99 in Fossil Legends and the First Americans, again), the drawings including this one..

...might represent another animal known only from fossils since the drawings in some cases depicts no teeth in their jaws and various number of toes on each foot. The "crests" on their heads look more like deer-type antlers and the wings appear to be nothing more than just arms bending backwards with only 2 curved separately arranged claws on each side. Pterosaurs only had 4 fingers on each wing, beak-like jaws, and a hairy gorilla-like body.

3.  Preparing for Battle - 2nd round to the Egyptians  (Exodus 6)

1.  The Signs of the Covenant (Exodus 4)

Moses is now given powerful signs which the LORD gives to give him strength to evangelise/preach to the Pharoah.  Three of which relate to the preaching to the Pharoah:

(a)  Staff which becomes a serpent  (v.3)

(b)  Dead to living flesh (v.6)

(c)  Water of the Nile into blood  (v.9)

One of which relates to circumcision:

(d)  Zipporah taking a flint and cutting off her son's foreskin and touches Moses' feet with it (v.25-26)

These signs will become even more apparent as we delve further into Exodus, but let's see why the signs must happen from (a) to (c) in that particular order, and why these three particular signs (in the same way we will explain in later entries the reason for the 10 plagues and why those ten in particular).

Firstly, the staff which becomes a serpent - just like the bronze serpent which the Israelites looked upon to cure them of their bites.  This staff later swallows up the snakes which the Pharoah's magicians conjure, and it is deadly; but remember, even God is sovereign over this snake.  And is the bronze snake there for the Israelites to observe and to adore (Numbers 21)?  Did Moses suddenly succumb to the temptations of relying on this serpent-idol?  No of course not.  The very fact that this snake is essentially a staff, that even finds it being in this staff, shows God's sovereignty over the snake.  The bronze snake, also, is not a reminder that we look to the Snake for comfort; rather, we look to the bronze snake and remember that it is an idol, prophesied in Genesis 3 that this snake will have its head destroyed.  No doubt, the sovereignty over the snake is the true message of Christ's salvation over Lucifer, the fallen morning star.  This is what Martyr has to say about the brazen snake:

"For tell me, was it not God who commanded by Moses that no image or likeness of anything which was in heaven above or which was on the earth should be made, and yet who caused the brazen serpent to be made by Moses in the wilderness, and set it up for a sign by which those bitten by serpents were saved? Yet is He free from unrighteousness. For by this, as I previously remarked, He proclaimed the mystery, by which He declared that He would break the power of the serpent which occasioned the transgression of Adam, and [would bring] to them that believe on Him [who was foreshadowed] by this sign, i.e., Him who was to be crucified, salvation from the fangs of the serpent, which are wicked deeds, idolatries, and other unrighteous acts. Unless the matter be so understood, give me a reason why Moses set up the brazen serpent for a sign, and bade those that were bitten gaze at it, and the wounded were healed; and this, too, when he had himself commanded that no likeness of anything whatsoever should be made."

"But you, expounding these things in a low [and earthly] manner, impute much weakness to God, if you thus listen to them merely, and do not investigate the force of the words spoken. Since even Moses would in this way be considered a transgressor: for he enjoined that no likeness of anything in heaven, or on earth, or in the sea, be made; and then he himself made a brazen serpent and set it on a standard, and bade those who were bitten look at it: and they were saved when they looked at it. Will the serpent, then, which (I have already said) God had in the beginning cursed and cut off by the great sword, as Isaiah says, be understood as having preserved at that time the people?

For the second sign, the sign of dead to living flesh, this is prophecying directly to the new flesh which we will inherit as an inwardly new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and an outwardly new body (Ezekiel 37:1-14).  Leprosy is an outward sign of the sickness of the heart, and this rotting of the flesh prophecies to the eternal rotting of not only our flesh but our soul in the pit; and God's ability to renew the flesh is the re-creation we look forward to on the Resurrection Day.

Finally, the water to blood - this also undoubtedly preaches the necessity of the blood of Christ to wash our sins, the preaching of the water turned into wine; can normal water wash us?  Can normal water save us?  Or is the blood of Christ the true blood can can wash us, that Christ's blood will fill the Nile and that the word of God will fill the brims of the earth (Psalm 72:19)!

Now, to the sign of circumcision.  Why was Zipporah so afraid of Moses' failure to circumcise his own son?

To begin with, this is a character-building experience for Moses to not over-spiritualise the gospel and fail to complete the sacraments.  He himself was most likely circumcised before being put in the ark, being born in the tribe of Levites.  If Moses was going to be the man to tell the Israelites about the Law, then he must take the law entirely seriously.  The Angel (v.24 - "the LORD met him and sought to put him to death") was very angry with Moses because of this failure to circumcise his son.  Did Moses forget Genesis 17?

At least Zipporah did not.  Apostle Paul understood the truth of taking the sacraments seriously (1 Corinthians 11:29-32), so why shouldn't Moses?  Zipporah, his Gentile wife, had at least a Christian understanding of the sacraments.  She immediately circumcised his son, and touched the LORD's feet with her son's foreskin.  When this sign of blood is given to the Angel, Christ, He does not kill Moses.  Zipporah then worships Christ as her "Bridegroom of Blood".  The ESV among other reliable translations seem to translate this with some misconceptions, because the Hebrew does not say "Moses' feet" in v.25 - it simply says "his" feet.  If you follow the context, v.25-26 - "Zipporah took a flint and cut of her son's foreskin and touched his feet with it and said, "Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me!" 26 So he let him alone."  The grammatical syntax doesn't really make sense if you say that Zipporah cut the son's foreskin and touched Moses' feet with it, because v. 26 refers the "he" to Christ, not Moses.  The point of Zipporah touching Christ's feet is to enable Christ to let Moses alone - that is why v.25 goes on to v.26.  Any other translation (even offered by ESV/NIV etc) will fail to make sense of these two verses.

Zipporah's theology is rich here - she actually understands the Second person to be the bridegroom of blood, in effect putting herself before Christ as the bride of blood.  She understands the Second Person's role in the Trinity, and understands her role in relation to the Second Person's blood covenant.  She is no daughter of a priest of foreign religion; she is the daughter of a Christian priest, and wife to a Christian husband who is struggling with his understanding of the sacraments.

2.  Increased Suffering - 1st round to the Jews  (Exodus 5)

After understanding the signs of the covenant, what will Moses and Aaron do with them?  By the end of chapter 4, we see that Moses and Aaron had performed the signs in the sight of the people (v. 30) - and the people believed! (v. 31); and when they heard that the LORD had visited the people, they bowed their heads and worshipped.  So Moses and Aaron visited the Jews first, before visiting the Gentiles.  They had visited the elders first.

Then, they visit The Elder of the Gentiles - the Pharoah.  Of course, unlike the Pharoah in Joseph's time, this one doesn't know God (v.2 - "Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go?  I do not know the LORD, and moreover, I will not let Israel go").  The Pharoah not only forgot the LORD's favour with the Pharoah (Genesis 47:20-27); Perhaps he is jealous of their possession of Goshen (Genesis 47:5-6).  And look at the response of the Israelites; look at the response of the people in Chapter 5v.21 - "The LORD look on you and judge, because you have made us stink in the sight of Pharoah and his servants, and have put a sword in their hand to kill us".  What an utter lack of trust and faith; what a quick turn from their initial belief of the signs at the end of chapter 4, and a drastic change within a short period.

This will be a foretelling of the description of the Israelites at large - they will keep thirsting for manna, for food and water, for physical fulfillment, for kings, for sensual pleasures, for their own definition of good and evil, for their own definition of justice... but there will only be a few, a remnant, who will remember Christ and his signs of the covenant, the sacraments which point to his work on the cross.  And the picture of chapter 4 and 5 is an immediate prototype of the picture shown in Christ's work in the gospels - he and his disciples had approached the Jews first, and many were healed, and many saw signs - but many renounced their initial belief, and Christ had died on the cross with more enemies than friends - "may the LORD look on you and judge, because you have made us stink in the sight of the Pharoah".  Indeed, the Jews then said the same thing, under the rule of Herod and Pilate.  Where were Christ's supporters when they saw the signs?

3.  Preparing for Battle - 2nd round to the Egyptians  (Exodus 6)

Which is why the gospel must go out to the Gentiles so the Jews will be jealous of them (Romans 11:11) - so that the Jews can be released from the bondage of a foreign nation, when the foreign nation comes to terms with Christ! Thus chapter 6 begins:  "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharoah; for with a strong hand he will send them out, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his hand" - and this preaching to the Gentile nation will be coupled with God's faithfulness to Moses' forefathers, which he summarised in v. 3-8.  Moses re-iterated God's faithfulness again to the Israelites, but because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery, they did not listen.  Surely, they should not have looked to themselves for confidence in the LORD; they should look to the LORD for confidence in the LORD!

In any case, the gospel has gone to the Jews and now must go to the Gentiles which is why we naturally move to v.10-11.

At this point, there is a v. short interlude where the genealogy of Moses and Aaron are explained.  This interlude is fitting; because thus begins the next segment of the story in Exodus, where Moses and Aaron go head to head with the Pharoah; and how fitting it is that the LORD chooses the physical and spiritual Israelites to fight the pagan king of Egypt?  Just a small thing to note in v.3 - "but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them".  This betrays the theology of the translators, very much due to the modern sway of progressive revelation.  But the Hebrew doesn't say that - the Hebrew actually says "but by my name the Lord did I not make myself known to them?"  This explains why I have previously been saying in my commentary in Genesis that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that the LORD had already revealed his name (Jehovah) to them, even as early as the first few chapters of Genesis when they were already calling upon the name of the LORD.  The NIV footnote of Exodus 6:3 shows the more accurate Hebrew translation which is quite essential to staying true to accurate theology.

Here is my rendition of the genealogy table.  Moses and Aaron are now prepared to say the very words of God himself - which we leave for the next entry - but the partnership between the two will soon fade out, as Moses begins to understand God better and better throughout the span of Exodus.

Respect your father and mother

We are half way through and at last god has started looking at something other than his self obsession.

Most people would probably agree that children should respect their father and mother. I certainly hold that view in most cases, but really this commandment is such a generalisation that it's value is very weak.

Humans are full of failings. Not because Adam ate a fruit or Eve was a temptress or that they were lead astray by a serpent, but because some people do very bad things.

Should a child respect a parent who abuses them? Sadly, some children are so badly treated that they are killed by one or other of their parents. Does respect for the abusive parent extend to the point at which the child should not tell anybody about their suffering and so allow it to continue until their life is taken or irretrievably damaged? Surely not.

I am in favour of laws being simple enough that they can be easily understood and enforced, but simplicity can be taken too far. In this case the exhortation to respect ones parents is fine for parents who respect their children. It is wrong to suggest that children have responsibilities to parents without reference to the responsibilities of parents to their children.

The commandments were a set of rules put together between two and three thousand years ago by people who lived simple, often brutal, lives in tribal communities without schools or any of the institutions of the twenty first century world. Children, like wives, were seen as assets of a male head of household. This demand of respect for parents is still worthwhile, but the relationship lying behind it in which children are not seen as deserving of the same should be put behind us as a more primitive stage of human development.

The fifth commandment stands up better than the four going before it, but it really isn't very much use for the modern world and it suffers from the risk of giving an excuse to poor parents who demand undeserved respect from their children.

Final Declaration [[ final, for the moment... ]]

- Believing in the role of monotheistic religions [[ belief is reserved to God, not in a function of what are called religions, correctly or incorrectly... ]] in providing a firm foundation [[ which is what, exactly, Islam as a revealed religion, with Muhammad as the Prophet? Really? ]] for the values of peace, truth, justice, right behaviour and cooperation in the development and use of the earth's resources for the benefit of the whole of humanity, thus realising fraternity, peace and happiness for all peoples; [[ As I've recalled elsewhere in these postings, it was Communion and Liberation which, years ago, put out the brilliant statement that the best way to get rid of Christianity is to reduce everything to the sharing of nice values, for, in that case, no one is responsible for providing the nice values, but these are brought about by a concensus based on fallen human nature, which, then, always but always shoots for lowest common denominator of expedience for me, myself and I. Does anyone see the irony? ]]

- Affirming that it is important that these noble principles [[ now they are called principles, noble at that. But, I ask, by what criteria? ]] and exemplary values [[ exemplary... right... a merely exterior provision of example, like that will get anyone anywhere fast. We don't have the strength in our fallen human nature to do the right thing for pure motivation. We need redemption. Muslims reject both original sin and redemption. - The Joint Committee held its annual Meeting at al-Azhar headquarters on Monday 25 February and Tuesday 26 February 2008 under the joint presidency of Professor Sheikh Abd al-Fattah Alaam, Wakil of al-Azhar, and President of the Permanent Committee of al-Azhar for Dialogue with Monotheistic Religions, and His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

The Committee, with the help of papers presented by Reverend Father René-Vincent de Grandlaunay and Professor Abdallah Mabrouk al-Naggar, examined the theme of Faith in God and Love of Neighbour as the Foundations for Interreligious Dialogue. [[ We might have more on that later. ]]

During its exchanges the Committee underlined common principles [[ we'll see what those are below... Those have developed into ten points, and then, well, we don't yet know what then, as the final result has not yet been published up to now. ]] and emphasised shared spiritual [[ really? Like what? ]] and moral values [[ really? Like what? ]]. These help to form the conscience [[ Islamic principles forming the Catholic conscience. I see. Or is it "relgiosity" that we are talking about here? You know, that other, new, revealted religion called "religiosity", which is pushed by the Cardinal. ]] and enlighten reason [[ now there's a phrase that needs some work... ]], providing [[ external, don't forget... ]] guidance to thought and behaviour, in particular as regards relations with brothers and sisters of the other religion [[ who, in that case, may also belong to the "religiosity religion". ]]. The Committee also discussed the question of freedom of expression [[ not of religion, but of a critique of a religion ]], noting that it can never justify harming people's feelings in religious matters [[ why not? I'm all for respecting people, but sometimes fallen human nature needs a bit of a kick, given in all charity, of course. Has no one read the Jewish prophets? Has no one read what Christ said and did? Has no one read about Saint Paul, Saint James, Saint Peter, Saint...?  ]], thus creating strained relations and destroying brotherly love [[ Provocation for the sake of provocation is evil. But provocation for the sake of destroying fallen human love for the sake of providing an opportunity to be lifted up into the Living Truth and Charity that God is, is, well, good ]].

The Committee strongly condemned the republication of offensive cartoons and the rising number of attacks against Islam and its Prophet, as also other attacks against religion [[ as this blog has done numerous times ]]. Note was taken of the words of Pope Benedict XVI, in a speech to the Ambassador of Morocco to the Holy See, in which he expressed his conviction that: "in order to favour peace and understanding between peoples and human beings, it is necessary that their religions and symbols be respected, and that believers not be the object of provocations which cause harm to their religious commitment and feelings" (20 February 2006). [[ Isn't that nice? The Cardinal has slightly changed the wording of Pope Benedict and ripped his words out of context, perverting their meaning. But we'll see this below, where I'll provide the words of Pope Benedict in full. ]]

The members of the Committee expressed their satisfaction at the agreement reached, seeing this as an encouragement to continue to engage in dialogue. [[ agreement... ]]

At the end of the meeting the participants agreed upon the following recommendations: [[ recommendation. I don't know if this is the agreement or recommendations coming out of the agreement... ]]

1. to affirm that all religions [[ are hereby commanded to ]] respect the dignity and honour of the human person without consideration of race, colour, religion or conviction, and condemn any offence against personal integrity, property and honour; [[ that's reasonable, though it depends on what the property is. For instance, destroying the altar upon which children were sacrificed to the blood-goddess Kali in Calcutta, India (this happening centuries ago), would be a great service to humanity and real respect for the human person, even of those who had erected that altar. ]]

2. to foster true respect for religions [[ nope, not if these are false ]], beliefs [[ nope, not if these are false ]], religious symbols [[ nope, not if these lead one into error ]], holy Books [[ nope, not if these lead one into error ]] and whatever is considered sacred [[ regardless of whether it is... good one, your Eminence... ]]: religious leaders, both Muslim and Christian, as well as intellectuals and educators, should make every effort to inculcate these values in their activities in places of learning and in all levels of society; [[ Not on your life, your Eminence... ]]

3. to appeal to those responsible for the mass media, whether written or broadcast, in all countries, to be vigilant that freedom of expression not be taken as a pretext for offending religions, convictions, religious symbols and everything that is considered sacred, but rather to oppose extremism, to encourage mutual acceptance, love and respect for all [[ persons ]], regardless of their religion; [[ O.K. that's well phrased. ]]

4. to encourage exchange of views on matters of common concern which may arise; [[ necessary ]]

5. to assess the application of these recommendations during the coming meetings of the Committee. [[ intelligent, for what is good in these recommendations. ]]

The Committee agreed that is next would be held in Rome, 24-25 February 2009. [[ whatever... ]]

Mr Ambassador,

I am pleased to welcome you, Your Excellency, at the presentation of the Letters accrediting you as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Morocco to the Holy See.

I thank you for your kind words and for the courteous greetings that His Majesty King Mohammed VI has conveyed to me through you. Please reciprocate by expressing to His Majesty my esteem for the traditional hospitality of acceptance and understanding which for centuries has marked the relations of the Kingdom of Morocco with the Catholic Church. I would be grateful if you will kindly assure His Majesty of my fervent good wishes for himself and for the happiness and prosperity of the noble Moroccan people.

Mr Ambassador, you have told me of the efforts made by your Country that has just celebrated its 50th anniversary of independence, to progress towards a modern, democratic and prosperous future.

One cannot but be delighted at this progress that should enable all Moroccans to live in security and in dignity, so that each one may play an active part in the social and political life of the Country. Indeed, an authentic democracy demands consensus on a certain number of essential values, such as the transcendent dignity of the human person, respect for human rights, the "common good" as the purpose and criterion for the regulation of political life (cf. Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church, n. 407).

Moreover, an ever closer collaboration among the countries bordering the Mediterranean, which began several years ago, should make it possible to face with determination and perseverance not only matters concerning security and peace in the region, but also the question of the development of societies and people with a renewed awareness of the duty of solidarity and justice. For this reason now, more than ever, the Mediterranean is called to be a place of meeting and dialogue between peoples and cultures.

Among the serious problems that the countries bordering the Mediterranean must face, the phenomenon of migration is a major factor in inter-State relations. Migrants from the less privileged regions in search of a better standard of living are coming in ever-greater numbers to knock at Europe's doors. This gives more and more of them an illegal status and sometimes creates situations that seriously threaten people's dignity and safety.

Consequently, the institutions of the host or transit country must take care not to consider migrants as a commodity or a mere work force, and to respect their fundamental rights and human dignity. The precarious situation of so many foreigners should foster solidarity between the nations concerned and contribute to the development of the migrants' countries of origin.

Indeed, these problems cannot be solved by policies that are exclusively national. It is through greater collaboration between all the countries concerned that effective solutions to these distressing situations will be found.

Mr Ambassador, you stressed your Country's contribution to the dialogue between civilizations, cultures and religions. For her part, in the present international context with which we are familiar, the Catholic Church remains convinced that to encourage peace and understanding between peoples and people, it is urgently necessary that religions and their symbols be respected and that believers not be the object of provocations that wound their outlook and religious sentiments.[[ My emphasis. Here are Tauran's words: "in order to favour peace and understanding between peoples and human beings, it is necessary that their religions and symbols be respected, and that believers not be the object of provocations which cause harm to their religious commitment and feelings". Not significantly different, you say? Think again. Look at the context of Benedicts words. This follows: ]]

However, intolerance and violence as a response to offences [[ my emphasis ]] can never be justified, for this type of response is incompatible with the sacred principles of religion [[ this is the correct reading of Nostra aetate ]]; consequently, we cannot but deplore the actions of those who deliberately exploit the offence caused to religious sentiments to stir up acts of violence, especially since such action is contrary to religion.

For believers, as for all people of good will, the only path that leads to peace and brotherhood is that of respect for the religious convictions and practices of others, so that the practice of the religion a person has freely chosen may be guaranteed to each one. [[ My emphasis. This is the clincher. Respect does not mean equality of all religions or accepting anything of whatever other religion as true. It simply means not holding a gun to someone's head to make them convert. This does not rule out the ruling out of certain practices. This is confirmed with the bit about violence further above. This is extremely clever in a good sense. Good on you, your Holiness! ]]

Mr Ambassador, through you I would also like to address a warm greeting to the members of the Catholic community of Morocco and to their Pastors. May they have at heart to live their Christian vocation joyfully, witnessing ever more generously to the love of God for all men and women, in fruitful collaboration with them all!

At the time when you are beginning your mission to the Holy See, Your Excellency, I offer you my best wishes for the noble task that awaits you. With my collaborators you will always find the attentive welcome and cordial understanding you may need.

I wholeheartedly invoke an abundance of Blessings from the Most High upon you, Your Excellency, upon your family, your collaborators, the Moroccan People and its leaders.

God did create the devil, but not as he is today. The Bible, which is the Word of God, so states; and that is sufficient and final. Where is the man or woman into whose mind has not come the question, Why?

According to the Bible, the devil is a being, a person, a spirit. He is not a myth. He is a real individual. There is one and only one devil, though there are many demons. He is spoken of as the Serpent, the Dragon, Beelzebub, and Satan. He cannot be described as an evil influence or force. There is only one Book that contains his true history and that Book is the Bible. The devil of the Bible is a personal devil. He is at the head of all evil forces. For all that is in the world which is not of the Father, Satan is responsible directly or indirectly; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life. He is likewise the supreme director of all religious systems condemned by the Bible, and many of these systems he carries on in the name of God and Christ. He is a clever counterfeiter.

The devil is accused of the crime of deceiving the whole world. One who can deceive the whole world must be very wise and cunning, altogether too much for the genius, strength, and wisdom of any mortal. He is declared to be a slanderer, an adversary seeking whom he may devour, a liar, and a murderer from the beginning. Satan beguiled Eve through his subtlety. The Christian is warned and instructed concerning his devices and wiles, and fiery darts. Only those who are in the safe-keeping of the One who conquered Satan in life and death, protected by the spiritual amour which He provides, can stand against the world ruler of darkness in the heavenlies. Only the shield of faith will quench his fiery darts. No offensive weapon will prevail against him except the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God; "it is written," and continual prayer. Thus fortified against this adversary, the Christian is instructed to resist him steadfastly in the faith.

The devil is the god of this age. He is the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. As the god of this age, he blinds the minds of them that believe not, lest the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them. He is the prince of this world, in charge of all of the evil forces, as well as demon spirits. The Man Christ Jesus, by His death, "destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the devil" (Heb. 2:14). And by His death and resurrection, the Son of God "spoiled principalities and powers, and made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Col. 2:15).

The most insidious assaults made by Satan against God and His righteousness and His Church are accomplished by transforming himself into an angel of light. He holds such complete sway over his deceived religious subjects that he causes them to pose as servants of Christ, as ministers of righteousness, and sends them forth in the name of Christianity to preach another Jesus and another gospel. Such are false apostles and deceitful workers, and those who follow their pernicious ways are many. They operate in so-called Christian pulpits (II Cor. 11:13-15).

The devil is responsible for all the sin, sickness, sorrow, suffering, crime, poverty and death on this earth. Everlasting fire is prepared for the devil and his angels. Unregenerate men do his bidding. He is worshipped by millions. He uses his damnable religious opiates to deceive many in the lost world. He has the upper hand in society, commerce, politics, education, and religion. The daily newspapers of all lands are almost exclusively under his control. His servants in schools, colleges, and seminaries are damning and blighting most of those who are under their instruction. He has brought sects, divisions, enmity, strife, skepticism, unbelief, and worldliness into the Church of Jesus Christ. The terrible darkness, the awful degradation, the unspeakable depravity of the heathen world is the result of his work. Today more than three-fourths of the world's inhabitants are pagan worshipers, while divorces, violence, lust, covetousness, selfishness, self-righteousness, intellectual and religious pride, suicides, murder, and other crimes characterize the ungodly age, which God designates as this present evil age, even in so-called Christian lands.

Men are truly lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God and evil seducers are waxing worse and worse.

We may summon all the optimism imaginable to make things look bright, but the fact remains that this world is in a sad predicament. The asylums, prisons and hospitals are filled with suffering humanity; to say nothing of the suffering and dying brute creation. God's Book describes the present order as a groaning creation and plainly states that the whole world lieth in the evil one (Rom. 8:22; I John 5:19). But you say that things have always been this way on this earth. Certainly, only not quite so much of it.

Surely Satan would have everything very much his own way so far as this age is concerned, shall all end today. But the curtain is not going down just yet. This is the day of Satan's power. This is man's day. The age is fast heading toward Satan's man, that lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall consign to the lake of fire when, at His coming, He locks up the devil as His prisoner.

The devil has certainly brought God's creation to a state of chaos and in some cases he has marred the Creator's masterpiece, created in His own image, almost beyond recognition. So far as visible results up to the present moment are concerned, the devil has waged a successful warfare against righteousness and truth, although millions of the human race ruined by his pernicious and fiendish work have been redeemed from his power and curse.

Now back to the question. The mystery is, why would God, who could hinder, defeat and destroy this great enemy, permit him to continue in his treacherous and damnable work? We are surrounded by so many mysteries that we cannot refrain from asking this question many times. Why this world? Why man? What is it all about? Why this groaning, suffering world of creatures? Why is there a devil?

Why has God permitted the devil to rebel, slander and oppose Him all these centuries? God has an ultimate purpose. He surely has a purpose now. He worketh all things after the counsel of His own will, and though we cannot understand His ways which are past finding out, we know Him well enough to know that it is all for the glory of His Son, by whom and for whom all things were created.

The God of the Bible is omniscient. Therefore, He knew the end from the beginning. He foresaw this present evil age and knew that violence was going to fill the earth and that man deceived by Satan was going to be plunged into great wickedness. He could have destroyed Satan before he played havoc with His handiwork; but it was not His will to do so. We can only submit to the will of the infallible God, and see through a glass darkly for the present.

God created all things by Jesus Christ (Eph. 3:9). The Word which became flesh created all things; therefore He must have created the Anointed Cherub, and then became flesh for the purpose of destroying this fallen being and his power over humanity. Lucifer fell because of rebellion and transgression. He fell through pride. He fell from heaven (Luke 10:18; Isa. 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:14-18). He was corrupted by reason of his wisdom and beauty. He was not satisfied with the highest place God could give a heavenly creature. He wanted the Creator's place. He was going to be like the Most High God. The Anointed Cherub was perfect in the day that he was created, and therefore was not created as a sinful creature. All sin entered through the "I wills" of this being. Again why? Why did not God create him so he could not sin?

We do not know the full history of this wicked one, but we have the record of his origin, course, and destiny. We know that every experience with fallen man with which he is accredited in the Bible corresponds with his dealings with us today, and only those who heed the warnings and take the precautions set forth in that Book can understand his tricks and overcome his power. He was met and conquered in the wilderness by the Son of God, who is the only hope and strength of any individual in his conflict with this mighty foe.

Because the Anointed Cherub in heaven said to God, "I Will," the true Anointed, God in human form, drank the cup in the Garden when He said, "Thy will be done," and finished the work at Calvary. Because Lucifer wanted to be like the Most High God, the Most High God has been made in the likeness of sinful man to defeat the fallen one.

Why did not God make man so strong that he could withstand the temptation of the Serpent? We know that had Eve and Adam used the shield of faith and been obedient to His will, sin would never have entered into the world, by Adam. Must we say that God permitted Adam to sin in order that He might carry out His will? While we know that on the Cross, the Son of God was delivered according to the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God; that He was slain from before the foundation of the world, yet these words are very plain: "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man" (James 1:13; Acts 2:23; I Pet. 1:18-20).

To be sure, it is all a mystery; but in the dispensation of the fullness of times God shall "gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, in Him" (Eph. 1:10).

Down through the eternal ages God is going to put on exhibition some sinners saved by grace: "That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace, in His kindness toward us, through Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:7). The Father has ordained that His well-beloved Son, the Son of His love, should in all things have the preeminence. He is before all things and by Him all things consist. He has been appointed heir of all things. For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the Cross. He suffered humiliation, rejection, and death to redeem, by God's infinite grace, a world of sinners in despair and utter ruin. Nothing but the grace of God can redeem a single member of the human race. There is no cure for man's spiritual disease except the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. No flesh shall ever glory in God's presence. Saved by grace must be the plea of every one who shall enjoy that inheritance which is incorruptible, undefiled and that fadeth not away.

"They that are in the flesh cannot please God." That is God's verdict (Rom. 8:8). Man must be justified without a cause (Rom. 3:24). In the flesh, or in the natural man, there dwelleth no good thing (Rom. 7:18). Man's natural righteousness is an offense to God. Self-righteousness is sin and must be pardoned by God's grace before the individual can be acceptable to God. Grace has been described in many terms, but none of them are adequate to express the full meaning and force of the over-abounding grace of the God of all grace. One writer has defined grace as meaning to bestow a valuable gift upon someone who is bankrupt. We often hear the expression: "God helps those who help themselves." That is not grace. God bestows His divine power upon the impotent and helpless sinner who realizes his own weakness and despair and seeks the mercy, pardon and strength of God. When God, who is rich in mercy for the great love wherewith He loved us, forgives and empowers the undeserving sinner through Jesus Christ, who by the grace of God tasted death for every man, that is grace. Unmerited favor? Yes and more.

Man without a fall, without sin, would not need restoration; therefore, he would not need grace. For His own glory, God permitted the human race to be plunged into spiritual bankruptcy. But His permission relieves neither Satan nor man of responsibility. No sin, no grace. Grace is for sinners. All are sinners; all need grace. No grace, no salvation; only eternal separation from God.

The bankruptcy was brought by Satan. He beguiled Eve through his subtlety. Then Adam sinned, and by one man sin entered into the world, and all have sinned. If Satan had not fallen through sin, man would never have sinned, for he never would have had the suggestion of sin. Man could have remained sinless and righteous, even when tempted by the devil, but he did not. Satan could have remained sinless and obedient, but he did not. God could have created Satan and man so neither could have sinned, but He did not. You may have God's righteousness as a free gift of His grace and through the Lord Jesus Christ have the divine image restored. Perhaps, you will not? Why not? That's the question. One answer is, Satan (II Cor. 4:3-4). You will never will to be saved until you have the desire.

If you will fall in with God's present plan, submit to His will and turn the government of your life over to the Son of God, you will share His glory ages after He has consigned Satan to the lake of fire. Then and only then will He let you into all of the secrets that you need to know, and answer all the whys that He thinks you ought to know.

Reality Films

Philip Gardiner's Diary of a Vampire provides an intriguing glimpse into the world of Bram Stoker, the Irish author of Dracula (1897).

As possible influences on Stoker's work the film looks at European history, Freemasonry, Asian mysticism, mythology, the esoterica of Madame Blavatsky and her disagreement with the German religion scholar, Max Müller.

Much visual and narrative emphasis is given to the idea that, in contrast to the scathing account given in the biblical Book of Genesis, the serpent represents sexual energy that may be transformed into spiritual power--i.e. the kundalini and the seven chakras.

Whether or not this kind of subtle power is healthy, hypnotic or perhaps even manipulative is left to open debate.

The film's treatment of the serpent is further developed by mention of the Christian belief that, as a symbol of evil, the snake is something to be overcome through intercessory prayer and, in the past, abject violence.

Dracula, then, is taken as a symbol for the English fear of esoteric cults during a time that saw a subtle resurgence of the ongoing conflict between the 'Christian West' and 'Pagan East.'

To its credit, this thoughtful and well-researched film asks which side Stoker is on, or whether he is merely observing and inadvertently encouraging a nascent consciousness shift that culminates in a full-fledged Gothic revival during the Victorian age.

Diary of a Vampire is highly recommended for those interested in the ongoing tensions and ambiguities found among Christian and non-Christian beliefs, especially with regard to the Victorian era and the esoteric, occult and underground influences of that period.

If our nature is corrupted as a result of one man's choice, then how can we be judged as if the decision to be corrupted was ours alone?  If we are born fallen, then our nature is not a result of personal choices - rather, our personal choices are a result of our nature.  How is this translated to willful disobedience? 

Wouldn't that be a bit like God instituting a command for us to not breathe air, but water, and then punishing us for not doing so? 

So, if sin is a decision of each individual, then sin is an offense that is justly punishable.  But then, the notion of it being inherited is tossed out the window. It is unust to make you go to jail if your father or mother committed murder.

If sin is a disease, then it must be healed, not punished.  But where does that leave us with notions such as hell, and rebellion against God, and such?

Just some preliminary thoughts on the subject.

    So, what are we to do?  We must examine ourselves in the light of the written word to see if we are really in the true faith of God.  We must "purge out the old leaven," getting rid of old worldly concepts and ideas that Satan has used to deceive the people and nations of the world.

    Since the world and its nations are deceived, we can look at what they support and see what is suspect and needs to be gotten rid of.  For example, look at our holidays.  The world system supports Halloween among others, and all are blatantly pagan (  www.1911encyclopedia.org/Hallowe'en ).   

    You can have Hallowe'en in schools and yet your children cannot pray there.  You cannot teach creationism or intelligent design and yet, children are encouraged to celebrate Valentine's Day, which was a Roman fertility and purification festival held on the very same day, February 14 ("february." Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary. MICRA, Inc. 02 Jul. 2008. <Dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/february> ). 

    Our government is deceived and corrupt.  It has left its first love-its Creator.  The original settlers, the Pilgrims, came here to "establish the kingdom of God nation in the earth."  Now our government has become the servant of a cartel of rich international bankers. 

    Our Congress in 1913 created by law the Federal Reserve System.  It is not "federal" nor a reserve.  Its very name is a lie.  Nor is it "of the people, by the people, or for the people."  "The Fed" is a private corporation with around 300 shareholders from the richest families of America.  It creates money out of nothing but wood fibers and ink.  Then it lends these created dollars. 

    Our government borrows trillions of these dollars and then it takes our hard-earned money as taxes just to pay the interest on that debt!  And who gets those billions?  The shareholders of the private corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank. 

    Because "the borrower is servant to the lender," the U.S. government, as well as all governments, is a servant to the rich international bankers, who are running things on the world stage.  The presidents, premiers, prime ministers, congresses, and parliaments of this world are the lap dogs of these internationalists.

    And we the sheeple of this deceived world, drunk on our own self-importance, are being led down the shopping aisles, tempted to get more, buy more, and covet more material things--things that satiate our fleshly senses so that we cannot perceive what is killing us.

    The old serpent, the Devil, has definitely deceived the whole world.  The people are deceived because they don't know what is going on.  And the nations are deceived because the leaders actually think they are going to get by with going to bed with the rich bankers.

    But a few will see through the lies and sin of this world system, and they will "come out" from it, and they will be separate.  They will be the vanguard of Yahweh's Kingdom that's coming soon.       Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Remember the garbage compactor monster in Star Wars?  It exists now, except it's a robot.

ACM-R5 is an amphibious robot snake developed by scientists at the Hirose Fukushima Lab in Japan. When I watched the video (below) of the ACM-R5 swimming, my first thought was, "Wow, it looks so organic and natural." My second thought was, "Wow, it looks like the killer sentinel robots from The Matrix."

ACM-R5 is equipped with paddles and passive wheels around the body. To generate propulsive force by undulation, the robot need a resistance property as it glides freely in tangential direction but cannot in normal direction. Due to the paddles and passive wheels, ACM-R5 obtains that character both in water and on ground.
